One of my friends said that when her kids get strep they complain of a headache and tummy ache. Which he has. Combined with a pretty high fever which never gets. I’ll be calling the dr tomorrow

Hi guys! We had J’s 6 month appointment yesterday... I can’t believe he’s already 6 months. Poor guy hasn’t had an easy time though. This reflux is really bad. He started losing weight again and he’s been spitting up blood (not daily, but weekly). We’re switching him from Zantac to Prevacid, but he’ll take both for about a week. We have a referral to the GI doc. They should call me today with the consultation appointment. A is doing great- we went to LEGOland a couple Sundays ago and told her it was Allison day. She got to make all the decisions and loved it. We were at Disneyland (H was at work, I went with my dad’s cousin) on Tuesday... it’s been busy.

It’s in the 80’s here today. I’m glad I was able to get a run in this morning before it got hot. P has been insisting on picking out her own clothes and dressing herself and it was a real struggle to get her to pick something weather appropriate. I need to put the fleece away soon so it’s not an option!

Is anyone else having trouble finding pants for their two-year-olds? Most of them are too big in the waist or way too short. I really need to get some for spring but I can't find any for J.

we are in 3t right now armpants. Sometimes they are a tad loose at the top but i'm all like meh about it because they aren't falling down. Try to find the pants that have the clinch on the inside of the waist band.

OMG yes. 2T fits the waist but not the length. 3t is just starting to fit the waist but they're WAYYYY too long (like, 2-3 cuffs long). Thankfully it's almost time for shorts.

Am I the only one that thinks jedi 's picture looks like hives? That's what they look like when I get them (which is fairly frequently and often unexplained).

Hi all! My maternity leave is over so it is busy busy busy at the ESG household but today I'm off for some appts and stuff so a bit more relaxed.
School is going fine, I'm relieved to just be there for 5 more weeks (last day is 6/19). A couple of my classes are in good shape from when I was gone and I'm working on the other ones.
Not much else going on! V has been doing a good job with sleeping and eating and everything. She is a bit cranky when she's with my mom while I'm at work but seems pretty happy still most of the time. She has a big old mohawk, which is hilarious. My grandfather couldn't believe it the other day, he thought we had styled it that way... E is doing a good job in his new role as big brother but still loses his mind sometimes. I'm finding the Tula essential with the 2 of them. I think we'll go strawberry picking when I go get him today, so I'll wear her for sure!

Another mommy group I’m in (for s1 bmb) said hives too. I’m wondering if he’s having seasonal allergies. It would explain the possible hives and headache. But not the tummy ache or fever.

Pizzaslut yes to pants issues. Thankfully for us here it's shorts season. I like Carter's pants because they have something draw strings, Cat and Jack for sweatpants because they have a tighter waist, and then Old Navy and the children's place since they have the adjustable tabs.

Same problem here. He still is wearing 18 months shorts most from last summer still fit 😱. Some of the 2t pants work but others are too short or too big in the waist.

Pizzaslut we have the same problem with pants for A and she is not at all tall. We started 3T, but those end up being too long. Fortunately I’m in So Cal, so it’s usually shorts year round. Also for milk production I’ve been doing shots of brewers yeast. It’s not very tasty, but it works for me. Cranberry juice is the best mixer I’ve found so far.

Brag alert! Our district is really good about individualized learning. It appears they are really challenging S1 who loves numbers and math. I’m pretty sure this is the first time he’s ever tried something like this. The answers aren’t right but I can’t believe that he’s starting to do math like this already!
