Today our town had a fun festival with food and businesses. It’s days like today I wish I was confrontational. The company that did our windows was there.

I am not usually confrontational, but totally can do the passive agressive stuff and would have done so. Every time someone from Bathfitter comes up to me in the mall asking if I want to have my bathroom redone, I always say " Yes, when your company returns my $500 deposit and stops doing hard sales". Pretty sure there is a sign on my forehead now because they tend to not ask me anymore. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

PDQ. I may die from cuteness and then cry that my baby girl is getting so big.

My sister is with us this week. Its nice to have someone to help play with Charlotte.
I was really down about living where I live but it has been so nice that maybe I can be happy here. I need to take Moana's dads advice "you will find happiness right where you are."

Also, can we talk post partum bellies? I'm within about 5-6 lbs from pre-pregnancy but I still look 4 months pregnant in a tank top 7 weeks after baby #2. Is this permanent?

shellyr, girl, i'm 2.5 years post partum and still look 6 months pregnant. but i think the answer is NO, you won't always look like that. It as a c-section right? you need to strengthen your muscles back up. core work.

I'm giving myself grace but I bounced back faster last time even though I gained less this time.

shellyr, but still...remember you older this time and it's the 2nd time your body parts have all been moved around to make room for a baby. unless you are 18, your bounce back is going to be slower. It can be done. Remember - it took you 9 months to have the baby and to grow that belly - it's going to be more than a few weeks. I guess my entire point is just don't be too hard on yourself. You'll get there.

It's been much harder snapping back after him compared to dd.

I always have but I feel like I was having similar thoughts around that time...one thing I did was start Adriene's True 30 day program. I'm only doing it 2-3 times a week but it is helping so much!

It's friday. thank god. It's been a rough week. I need time to relax on this weekend as I feel sick again. BUt apparently my relaxing includes a 5k in the morning, then shopping for a graduation dress and lunch with A. Then Sunday stuff. plus all my other chores inbetween. And yes, I love this gif. it is one of my all time favorite scenes from scrubs. and it's friday.

Hi all! Let me tell you about my nutty week Monday- H birthday, he's not home; instead he's in Puerto Rico drinking rum punch and eating all the mofungos. Tuesday- My birthday, but see above. WEDNESDAY- Our friends who are due today call us to watch their son, because she went from nothing to hard labor. Long story short, she managed to NOT have the baby in the car, but only because they had a police escort. And H and my plans for date night went a little screwy due to having the extra child. It's ok, though, I have someone else's squish to love on now! Thursday- Rode my bike to work, so much pollen everywhere Friday- Taking the kids to chuck-e-cheese (chuck-e-cheeses?) for the first time for a birthday party, I am very scared and will bring lysol.

shellyr, I haven't had any luck with post baby 2 snap back until very recently. I'm about 6 mo post surgery and my core is waking back up and acting functional again. Still rocking the extra skin, tho.

I have to leave work in an hour and a half for an emergency dental appointment. I can't eat anything hot/cold or drink ANYTHING no matter the temp without having shooting pain & seeing stars in a tooth they did work on less than a month ago. I think I may have to get a pedicure after. Happy Friday!

Yes. I'm just glad they could fit me in today. My mouth needs to be in full working order for bottomless brunch on Sunday. I can't have anything holding me back!
