I don't even want to know how much weight I've gained so far. I feel like I'm bigger than I was at the same time last pregnancy, although from looking back at photos it's not a huge difference belly-wise, I'm probably just more self-conscious about it since I started out weighing significantly more this time. Definitely did not lose weight in my first tri like I did last time (pretty sure most of the weight loss from last time was due to giving up beer, which I drank less of pre-pregnancy this time around). And yeah, starving all the time and have to snack to keep my stomach settled, and I want sweets way more than I did last time.

At my intake appt, the nurse interviewing me asked my starting weight. I try not to weigh myself and instead focus on how my clothes fit, and so I had to completely guess. I said “I don’t weigh myself much, but about XXX”. The look on her face told me that was... not accurate. 😬. She didn’t say anything though, bless her (she had just had me on the scale a few mins before but I had averted my eyes from the #. Idk why she didn’t just use that weight).

Thanks summerrain and Dramaphile, bleeding is scary AF even when you think logically it's probably fine. I had my scan and all looks good, though the sonographer didn't see why I'd bled.

Is anyone able to make us a roster so we have a list of everyone and due dates?

charlotte not looking at the scale sounds like such a healthy choice, I wish I had the willpower to do it myself. Good for you. My OB last time gave me a bit of crap about weight gain and it was a bit hard to hear.

Glad to hear the baby is ok Argyle. I’ve been thinking about you today. I hope the bleeding goes away. I’m sorry you didn’t get an answer for it. jense927 yay for great numbers!

My OB last time gave me a bit of crap about weight gain and it was a bit hard to hear. I thought my OB would last time, but not a single person in the office mentioned it. It was actually a relief, because I obviously knew I was gaining more than I "needed" to, but I didn't want to hear someone scold me.

Argyle I didn't get an answer for my bleeding either, I guess sometimes there isn't one and our bodies are just crazy. Stay hydrated, and if bleeding happens again, sit down and put those feet up and sip that water. I had my 8 week check yesterday and it went very well. I feel a lot better about the bleeding episodes now. The doctor said with baby's development and strong heartbeat, my chances of MC at this point are low. But she took my concerns about the bleeding very seriously, and said if it happens again to give them a call so they can check everything out. She confirmed that I should do a RCS this time around, and we've narrowed down the date span that I will schedule it for. Suddenly things seem more real and for the first time I feel I can breathe easier. OMG also, I took unisom last night (OB recommended) and B6. Guys, I SLEPT 8.5 HOURS. I FEEL LIKE A WHOLE NEW WOMAN.

Well I told my mom last night because apparently my brother’s soon-to-be fiancé wants to have their wedding this October. I’m due Nov 1st and we live a 1-2 days drive away. It’s stressing me out because while I certainly do NOT expect them to plan around me (we aren’t close), I know hellfire would rain down on me from family members if I didn’t travel there for it. I’m hoping they decide August would be a lovely month to get married but I know that’s wishful thinking, ha.

No one should expect anyone to make that long of a drive at the tail end of their 3rd trimester. If they stick with October I hope people are understanding. It’s not like you are trying to get out of it. I wouldn’t feel comfortable being that far from my doctor and hospital.

notelsie yeah I mean if it actually takes place in October there is just no way; we won’t be there. We generally like our independence but sometimes living away from family is a pain!

Just finished up at RE appointment. Baby is measuring 9w6d and everything looked great. So cool it is finally looking like a human now. I am getting relief from the unisom/b6 which is making life much more tolerable

I definitely wouldn't be going far away that close to my due date either. I hope family is reasonable and understands.

Anyone have experience with gallstones (esp during pregnancy)? They found one during my ultrasound last week. I will talk to my OB about it when I see her in a couple weeks, but I haven’t had any symptoms so far. Hopefully it stays that way.

What type of info would you ladies like on the roster? I think typically it's: username, due date, team green or finding out.....anything else that you want on there? Let me know. I can work on this today and tomorrow.

We just had what was our official "first" OB appointment. Even though I really had no reason to expect anything bad to happen, it's such a relief to see/hear the heartbeat again! We could even see baby moving his arms around a little, it's crazy how baby-like baby is already!
I'm also super happy with myself for taking he afternoon off, because H and I enjoyed some super yummy Culvers, I took the dog for a super long walk (or, it felt super long thanks to being so out of shape), and now I'm about to settle in for a long nap. It's a perfect afternoon!

One more day and then it’s my spa weekend - did I tell you all I booked a massage and am checking myself into a hotel for a night? Bon voyage, familia!

Just when I thought I was feeling better, then wham, super nauseous tonight. The thought of cooking the chicken dish I had planned out makes me want to vomit. Told H to grab his own dinner and I made macaroni for DS. I feel bad not cooking him something healthy but needed quick and easy. Almost 10 weeks now so hoping this will stop soon.

My sons school had a fundraiser night tonight so I took the kids through the drive thru since I’ve been feeling horrible all day. Nothing sounded appetizing but I needed to eat so I ordered some fries and an ice cream cone. I don’t typically eat ice cream in any fashion and it’s probably been 10+ years since I’ve eaten a cone, but damn did it taste good. I’m feeling very much like a stereotypical pregnant lady right now and trying to convince my husband to stop and get another one. At this rate I’m going to gain approximately 100 pounds, but if it gives me relief from the nausea for 30 minutes I don’t know that I care.

I ate potato salad and chocolate milk the other night because I was starving and those were the only two foods that sounded even remotely ok. H looked at me like I grew another head and said, "this baby has quite an interesting palette, huh?" He's also been very confused because with my first I ate ice cream basically non-stop, but he's asked me several times if I want it and it just doesn't sound good this time.

I have my NT scan in the morning. I'm excited and nervous. It will be my husbands first time seeing this one because he couldn't make it to my first scan and their printer stopped working.
Also I had chocolate cake for breakfast, pad Thai for 10am brunch, BBQ for lunch, and a pbj for dinner. Today has been the first day I haven't felt nauseated aaaaall day and I'm exactly 12 weeks. Coincidence or the beginning of a better time, I don't know.
Also I had to reschedule my OB appointment twice now. I accidentally had it at the same time as my scan tomorrow and found out Sunday so called to reschedule Monday. Set it for next Tuesday and then on Wednesday found out I set it at the exact time of a groundbreaking ceremony I need to be at (didn't have a date or time before then), so now it's the NEXT Tuesday. And I need my meds switched because Zoloft has been giving me a 24/7 headache 😭

I have a wedding to go to in 2 weeks and I am having the hardest time finding a dress. I am still lumpy looking so all of my old dresses are not flattering and any maternity ones look weird

I think I'm seeing the light at the end of the nausea tunnel. Skipped my B6 and unisom last night and I'm actually feeling pretty decent today and mostly am just starving. Tomorrow will probably be the real test when it's fully out of my system.
