The weather is finally nice here! Everyone seems to be in a much better mood everywhere I go because we haven't seen the sun in about 6 months! 🙂

It’s so beautiful here too! I’m off today and normally I’d take a nap while DD naps, but today I’m out on my patio getting some fresh air for once. It’s glorious!

Finally getting nice here too!!! ☀️Naturally, we already had our first day yesterday where we went out and forgot sunblock....
I hate dealing sunblock. For myself too, but ESPECIALLY for DS. We've tried a couple different brands, and they all claim to be "tear-free", but tear-free they are NOT. Almost every time we need to use sunblock on DS it ends up sweating into eyes and then he starts rubbing with his little sunblocked hands and he ends up with bloodshot, crazy watering eyes.
Way to ruin the long awaited nice weather, eh?! Bitching about sunblock right outta the gate! 😂

So bummed. I just found out that my best friend is moving like 10 hours away. This is also DD's best friend too. They leave within the next month.

tbirdloveYou've probably tried it but we love Babyganics stick. I've not have any problems with it getting in the eyes and we've used it since DD was 3 months old.

That was the first one I tried 🙁 Now I have Aveeno baby (both the bottle for body and stick for face) and I like it better overall but I still have the eyes issue. I guess more than it sweating into his eyes, is just that he rubs his eyes randomly and gets it in there from the backs of his hands.

Jealous of the nice weather...it's warm today but spotty rain. It POURED all day yesterday, I was afraid it was going to wash out the veggie seeds I sowed in our raised beds.
I've been on edge because that mass shooting at the Waffle House was within a few miles of us. They just found the guy about 2 hours ago.

getdownpleaseThat shooting stuff was crazy. So you are definitely like super close to where I thought you were and where SO's family is. His brother lives pretty close to where the shooting was.

pixiepink24 oh no. I'm sorry your friend is moving away. Definite bummer. getdownplease I hadn't heard about this shooting. Seriously, at a Waffle House? Nothing is safe... 😔 Such a ridiculous time we are living in. This country needs to get it's shit together. I'm sorry it's made you feel uneasy.

Having had an active shooter less than a mile from my house before, I get it. And the guy in ours was arrested almost immediately. I didn't have to deal with the guy on the loose. Glad he was caught.

I feel a bit frustrated. I actually WANT to work on some tasks around the house, but my left knee has been bothering me and my posterior pelvic pain is yowza. So I'm taking a time out on the couch and feeling kinda angry about all the stuff I could/should be doing.

Just needing to vent real quick.
Yesterday was shit. It's been the one time in this pregnancy where I truly wish I could drink a bottle of wine. Ugh! It was a crappy rainy day, My step dad has been in and out of the hospital and currently in, BFF tells me she's moving far away in a matter of weeks, SO flew out of town for another 10 days at least, DD threw major meltdown in the morning refusing clothes (usual occurrence when SO leaves), fell in mud causing meltdown from being dirty and wet, then refused nap, nap strike caused bonus baby to not nap too making him a fussy mess, no nap lead to DD being a demon rest of evening. 😱 I'm so glad it is another day. The girls have been fighting a good bit but at least it's seeming better than yesterday. 🤷♀️

Feeling a little less anxious today. I went in and didn't want to wait for an appointment which may not have helped get me Zoloft anyways, but the nurse was super nice and checked my file and she confirmed I do have an anterior placenta. It's the first time I've had this, but it makes sense.

We use ThinkBaby too @holliberry. I like it more than other options out there and it's pretty highly rated for ingredient safety and effectiveness.
I have an Amazon registry set up but I'll be keeping it private. 2nd baby and we don't need much so it's more of just a checklist for myself + the completion discount at the end, rather than using it like a regular registry.

DS got sent home from daycare with a fever. Apparently there's a stomach bug going around daycare but he also seems to have a cold so now I can't decide if I need to call to get his ears checked (only touching them once in a while, not really picking at them like they hurt). As soon as we got home he was falling asleep next to me on the couch so now he's in his crib sleeping.
The last 2 stomach bugs he picked up he was done and over within 12 hours so I'd almost prefer that to an ear infection. Which I'm sure means this will end up being an EI.

I don't recognize the brand ThinkBaby. Maybe I'll try that next.
I had really only considered doing a registry for the completion discount and any perks. We have most of what we need besides some odds and ends and nursery furniture and decor. But being #2 I don't anticipate anyone seeking to buy us gifts from a registry this time. Not really sure that I'll bother.

I also use thinkbaby. It seems to work really well especially since DD got my super sensitive skin. It doesn't give her rashes like a lot of lotions do.

pixiepink24 I hope today went better than yesterday! Hugs, some days are just rough. I guess it’s a UO that I LOVE sunscreen. The smell of Hawaiian Tropic brings me straight to the beach/boating/vacation/heaven. I love the ritual of applying and how it makes my skin feel. It is annoying with a toddler though for sure!

We use this sunscreen for M’s face, I use it on mine too. Then banana boat lotion for our bodies. I love the stick because it smells good and it’s easy to swipe all over the face and be done. Sometimes I put it on our shoulders as well.

It’s anatomy scan day!! Fingers crossed that baby cooperates and the tech is able to get all the measurements they need. I really need the reassurance that we’re doing okay up to this point. I’m excited to find out the sex too.
