I’m so sorry librariangirl that sounds really hard. This isn’t helpful to you, but I was on phenergan during my last pregnancy and it made me SO sleepy. If it has the same impact on you, I can’t imagine working 😕. I hope you can get some kind of lessening in your nausea. Hang in there.

I’m at IKEA letting DS get some energy out at Småland, and I’m just sitting up in the food court area, and I feel like I could pass out at any moment. 😣 WHY DOES MY BODY HATE HORMONES SO MUCH?!?!

I’m having a breakdown tonight. My left side is tender when pressed and I get the occasional sharp-ish pain when I move a certain way. It’s random. Felt it when I got off the barstool at our kitchen table. Felt it when I cuddled up to H. So, I’m assuming I have another ectopic and I’m crying. I’ve been trying to stay positive, but when you feel this random pain, it’s hard to not spiral.

I obviously can’t say you don’t have an ectopic but I have had lots of cramps, sharp pains and I know mine isn’t.

They’re pretty 🤷🏻♀️ about it all. I thought maybe they’d want to track HCG levels or something, but no. Were your sharp pains more one-sided? Or random placement? I’m hoping my left side is just still tender from last year, but I really have no idea if there’s any correlation.

quijibo being tender to the touch does seem odd to me. I would ask to be seen Monday if you’re still feeling this way. With your history I don’t think that’s OTT at all. In any case, I’m sorry you’re experiencing this worry and fear.

quijibo I haven’t had an ectopic, but my right side is sometimes sore to the touch, and I definitely have aches and shooting pains from it too. I know I don’t have an ectopic (had u/s already), for me it’s the corpus luteum causing the pain. I would definitely call your doctor though, and see if you can get your beta hcg followed over the next week. At this point, it’s probably the easiest way to tell ectopic vs normal pregnancy. I hope it’s nothing, and just pregnancy aches and pains.

When I noticed them the most they were on my left side but I also have a blocked left tube so I may have been paying extra attention. I had a big fear of ectopic after finding out my left tube was blocked. I don’t understand why Drs don’t run betas on patients struggling with this stuff. I would definitely call if I were you. It really might help give you piece of mind. How far along are you?

expatmama11 I’m 4 weeks and 4 days. That’s also giving me pause, because is baby even big enough to cause pain? We caught the last one at 6 weeks.

The baby itself is tiny but your uterus is expanding. Getting some pains and cramps can be completely normal. Definitely call your OB Monday and express your concerns. Maybe they can do a quick ultrasound and bloodwork.

Lord... 🙄 Will definitely call this week if the pains continue.

With my son I think they had me come in for my first US at like five weeks because they suspected ectopic (I basically had my period then had a positive test after). I'd definitely call in the morning and say you're having pain and soreness and ask if they can do any tests for you.

librariangirl, I'm sorry for the HG confirmation. I've been struggling so much with nausea/vomitting this pregnancy (and last, but this time around is worse) and I feel your pain about being essentially nonfunctional. My H has had to pick up a ton of slack in terms of running around after my DD and I feel horribly guilty. I'm on zofran, B6, and unisom but it's not making much of a dent. I've tried phenergan in the past but wasn't able to work or drive because it made me so sleepy. I'm hoping to just keep white knuckling it through, but it sucks. I hope you get some relief soon!

I'm so sorry librariangirl and letsgetphysio. This time is quite manageable for me, but last time I vomited every hour or two for 1-2 weeks, then a few times a day after that and finally settled down to only every few weeks. I didn't have HG, at least not diagnosed, because I was able to stay hydrated. But needless to say it sucked and I have all the sympathy in the world for you now.

Sends some good vibes or prayers or luck to me today, I've been having spotting on and off all weekend and I'm a nervous wreck. It started Friday night and was bright red and I was convinced it was a miscarriage, and then stopped, and has been stopping and starting all weekend. Nothing more than a little blood when I wipe, sometimes brown, sometimes red, sometimes pink, barely anything even gets on the pad. I'm still nauseous, which I guess is a good thing? My scan is at 11:30 today, and a this point I just want to know one way or another what's going on.

Good luck today Dramaphile. I will have my fingers crossed so hard for you. I hope it’s still just some spotting due to the pap.

I called the OB’s office this morning because I had some blood when I wiped over the weekend. It’s mostly brown now, so they don’t want me to come in. I mentioned my lack of symptoms and they weren’t concerned. I will try to stay positive/optimistic until my scan 4/17.
I had a cold with a lot of coughing also, she said that could have caused it. Still a nervous wreck.
