HOw are you doing with the weather, Lakes? It's been snowing here since yesterday afternoon, but we've only accumulated about 2 inches and roads are fine.

judyblume14 I have 3 inches so far and still have power. The storm is suppose to be at it's worst between 9-5. They're saying it could be 1-2" an hour, low visibility, thundersnow, wind (although not nearly as bad as last weekend), and trees going down. It's super wet and heavy. Our hedge is already bent over. The power company announced last night that 9,000 people in my county still didn't have power 😱 Mh is working from home today which is nice. He thought he was going in today. Over my dead body. His boss even said to work from home so no need to go into the office to get those brownie points.

carrots dd was up screaming at 5 and I thought to myself "do I really want a third?!" Her gums are super swollen and red so I'm assuming it's teething related.

Pushing 8 inches and still coming down hard. I just went out to clean off the bushes and trees since the snow is so heavy. There's a 20 foot cedar next to the house that's coming out by it's roots. Boo. At least it's leaning away from our internet wires.

Just flurries now. We just dug ourselves out. Glad I can skip the gym after that! Only one power flicker so far. Fingers crossed that this is it!

Mh's aunt who is only a few miles from us has 12" and lost power. It's crazy how it can change so quickly. She's a 5 minute drive from my house. Mh and ds made a snowman. Ds made a little ball, put it on the snowman's head and said "Hat. Snowman hat." It was adorable.

Everything is frozen solid this morning. I'm so glad I cleaned the cars off yesterday while mh did the sidewalks. I had 101 things around the house I wanted to get done yesterday since mh was home but instead I spent the day watching the birds, drinking tea, and working on genealogy stuff. I'm officially an old person.

Sounds like you had the perfect snow day, Lakes ! We only got a couple inches yesterday and it was so pretty. But it's all melted today.

Glad you all made it through the storms ok! Down south we still got some cold weather and I’m SO ready to pull out spring/summer clothes. And the outfits I got the kids for Easter are really summery (M’s outfit is a sleeveless top and diaper cover) sooo I’m going to need it to warm up fast. Or else there will be a lot of layering with their adorable outfits!
H has been out of town all week and comes home tonight, thank goodness!

The street by me at cleared and plowed but there are so many accounts of downed wires and trees around my town it's crazy. Is this week over yet?

The weekend has been so crappy E is still a snot factory and was so whiny all weekend I woke up Saturday morning sick and have been feeling miserable. Our power went out for 2 hours during dinner luckily E was unshaded. We have someone who wants to rent our investment property but they want us to replace the carpet. Sigh so another thing to deal with. I am so exhausted physically and mentally.

Say it with me...GO.TO.SLEEP. I love DST for the extra evening light but I’m going to need my kids to catch on to bedtime soon. Daycare had a well-timed teacher workday so I had to deal with their not wanting to nap nonsense. peaseblossom55 I’ve got a couple of extra snotty kids too and feel like every time I turn around I’m wiping a nose. Hope the weather warms up soon and cold season can get behind us all!

A has a molar coming in. Poor thing. DST wasn't too, too bad for us. (Knocks wood). On the other hand, our evening schedule has been whackadoodle lately, so, we didn't have a good baseline anyway!

judyblume14 our mornings have been bananas lately so I’m hoping DST will help us reset. Today the kids slept until we woke them up to get going for daycare (since they were up late last night) and I’m hoping we can keep that going and get in a better routine. Hopefully it will reset your evenings too!

Sorry the above pic is huge.... what is the difference between 24 month clothes and 2T? I *think* it's length. I was under the impression that it was basically the same but 2T was a little longer. I might have made that up though.

I was oot visiting family all week and am playing catch up this weekend. They had to move my grandma to memory care. It's sad to see her mind go but she's the most happy and positive I've seen her in the last year at this new place. I think because she's surrounded by people with similiar issues it'sless embarrassing for her. No one cares if you ask the same question twice whereas at the regular senior living apartments some of the ladies were grumpy when she had to ask the domino rules, etc. Plus the forced socialization and different themed rooms keep her busy. The kids were a big hit, especially dd.
I was able to get another batch of great old photos from my grandma's stuff. Including a photo of my great grandma, dd's namesake, from 1899 when she was 3 years old! I also visited my great aunt and got more photos, stories, and info from her. It was a great trip.
We got snowed in one day with 15+ inches of snow but the kids loved it!

Eta your explanation on 24 months v 2T sounds legit.

I might have made that up though. Sometime i think 2T is cut a little slimmer too. My gigantic baby is wearing his brothers old 2T shirts, but not pants. Re previous discussion, he also has size 5 feet!! 6 for boots because they're so chubby. Now that it's spring I got him crocs for the yard. (I'm very anti croc, in theory, but I'm tempted to get myself a pair too)

I can't really say where I stand on the idea of a third baby. My body (except the part that likes sleep) wants a third. My head says F no! I feel like I'm barely managing the 2 I have.
Honestly our relationship is pretty rocky so bringing another baby into that would be a total nightmare.
Also Hi! First time I'm here all month and I dump my crap out on you all

the difference between 24M and 2T, is that 24M leaves space in the butt for a diaper.

missd we love Natives for the yard. They’re way cuter than crocs but just as practical. DS lives in his and I have some for M once she gets a little steadier on her feet. But I want some for me too haha. Sorry to hear things are tough on the relationship front. Two kids is a huge relationship stressor so I can definitely relate!
