Spending the night with no ac sucks. I hope it's an easy cheap fix. Do not want to drop $$$ on a new unit.

Betweenthelines- I hope DS is better soon and that’s the end of it. RunsforWineandCarbs- I hope your ac is a cheap fix. Our new place doesn’t have one at all, we’re close to the beach and it doesn’t usually get very hot, but we’ve definitely had more than a few days where it was needed. I feel for ya lady. easternshoregirl- I just realized I never sent a message to you that I had been typing. This was after the version attempt- sorry mama, I’ve been really out of it lately. Congrats on V! Did she end up turning or did you have a cesarean? jedi- tell that b word that you understand if she won’t be able to make it to this outing, but maybe next time. 🤷🏻♀️ armpants- I hope the brace helps!

I’m having a really hard time concentrating on anything. I can’t think, words have been hard... I brought it up to my doc thinking maybe it’s the Lexapro, she said I’m exhausted... you guys- I am. J is a pretty good sleeper, but Worm just doesn’t sleep Ygritte night anymore. We started her on melatonin so she’s now falling asleep earlier, but still waking up in the middle of the night multiple times and I’m sleeping about 2 hours a night between the 2 kids. And A generally doesn’t nap anymore- I’m so f*cking tired.

Next month is our 5 year wedding Anniversary. Do any of you crafty ladies have an idea of something I can make him that falls under the wood category? Or do you know of a cool wood gift? I got him a humidor for Christmas, wtf- that would have been perfect.

jedi, i wouldn't even said that. I'd say I know you limit more foods for your children but this is about the group, the collective and we can't cater to 1 families needs. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to them. What the f is she going to do when her kids actually go to school? Send them in a bubble? My mom is here and she talked me down. I was ready to get a little snippy. I don’t think this mom was saying let’s not do this but just making it difficult. But to answer your question she does have one kid in school and she did mention one time that he said something to extent “why do they get to eat like that and I don’t” ETA: I think most moms would, when seeing the location, would either 1. Call themselves if they do have a question about ingredients or 2. They would already know because they have eaten there or have already called I’m the past. Another ETA: when she sent that in our group text she also said something about ingredients not being on the menu. One of the other moms posted a screen shot of the topping selections. I’m trying to figure out if she was being passive aggressive or not. But I know I laughed out loud and said to my mom. That’s not what she meant.

Betweenthelines I little humor for you. I know I had heard of msra but was drawing a blank at what it was. So I googled it. This was a selection a few options down. 😂

E woke up around 10pm last night screaming. I really hope he’s not getting sick. He felt warm but didn’t have a fever. He’s still asleep (not unusual) but I’m anxious for him to get up so I can see how he’s feeling.

I arranged for our moms club to go to a pizza place for a tour followed by making our own pizzas. I even found out there would be a gluten free crust option. Sounds fun right? Most of the board thinks it’s awesome. Ms no food treats for Valentine’s Day thinks we should get a full ingredient list because “some of us avoid more than gluten” my response? “Could you give them a call and ask? But wait until Monday because weekend are their busy time.” My actual thought? We don’t need to figure this out. When Moms see thats meet up for March and they know they have food sensitivities then they can call themselves. Right? She sounds fun.

I usually buy him liquor because he never has any other ideas and those always go over well. It was one of these:

mrspiatt, thank you so much! She did flip! They did all this stuff to get me ready for the csection and I kept saying I wanted the ultrasound (they were prob like sure, lady, whatever). When the doc finally checked, there were lots of tears and hugs (mine of course)! We are doing great. Being a second time mom is fun. FTM was really hard on me and therefore also DH. We are all really happy.

Also I think I'm pulling my kids out of this day care and putting them into my MIL's.. It's an extra 15 minutes in the wrong direction, but I've been growing increasingly frustrated and unhappy with how this DC has been since they wrongfully terminated the director (my friend). Since then, a lot of lead teachers have quit, and the quality of care and people just giving a damn has gone downhill.
This whole MRSA thing is just adding to my frustration. Another kid most likely had it on their diaper area, they were changed on the changing table and said table wasn't cleaned properly, thus spreading it. It's the only way I can think of how he could have gotten it on his butt considering he spends about 9 hours a day there...

Betweenthelines, that's frustrating and i would be livid with the center if my kid contacted mrsa from it.

Woke up to a text from a friend of mine that works in the police station on the base where the kids go to daycare. He asked if any of my kids were in a certain room. I said that K was periodically when the census was low. Apparently he was fired for mistreating kid(s). He always seemed so nice when I would pick K up and seemed to truly care for the kids. I feel bad for the caregivers there because they can not do any form of punishment (no time out, no raising voices, are supposed to find ways to not say "no", etc). Basically they have a bunch of tiny humans that they have to keep safe with little ability to do anything for a consequence. I am wondering if maybe he did something that would otherwise be a common thing, bit because of their restrictions things got blown out of proportion. Or did he hit a kid? Of course, they haven't said anything to the parents that i know of and it was caught on video so I don't even know if a parent complained. They are so understaffed and have been losing some really good quality leads lately and I really don't think they are giving leads a lot of credit.

If it was a normal parenting move like mild punishment would the friend feel compelled to tell you? That is disconcerting to hear and shitty that they're understaffed.
