I haven't seen yet but I was thinking about making a thread on this topic. I'm excited, at least for the nostalgia, but so far I've heard it's good.

I missed the first episode but I will definitely be watching when I get a chance. I'm hoping to get my husband to watch the original series with me first because he's never seen it.

I made it through 2 episodes. We hadn't quite finished our rewatch of the old shows (me for the umpteenth time, DH for like the 6th), but I didn't have the patience to wait.
My impressions so far (no exact spolers)
I enjoyed it.
It is very David Lynch. But so far, dark & artsy Lynch.
I haven't gotten much of the humor that I loved in Twin Peaks that he hasn't brought to all of his work. I hope there is more humor soon.
It is fucking weird.

I didn't even know they were bringing this show back. Twin Peaks is something that still scares the shit out of me, even as an adult. Some nights I lay in bed and stare at my ceiling fan and wonder when Bob will come and get me.
I got scared just typing that.

I did OK with the show but Fire Walk With Me made me confess to my parents that I had sneak watched an R movie and it was the most disturbing thing I had ever seen and I learned my lesson. Then my best friend played the soundtrack as we were going to sleep at a sleepover and I cried in a corner.
The new version is horror, and horrific. I'm on episode 4 and there are more jokes now, but damn it is dark.
Anyone else caught up?

I downloaded episode 4 to watch this afternoon. Dark and horrific is an excellent word for the first 3 though!

I might do the 7 day free trial on Amazon... But maybe I should wait until all episodes air.

Not really sure how to talk about this and what exactly is a spoiler because most of what I've got is 'What the fuck to do you think 'fill in anything that happened in the first 4 episodes' was.'
Also me and DH going 'Is that Richard Chamberlain?' 'Surely they wouldn't just give Richard Chamberlain 1 minute hovering around the edges of the frame. Oh wait, that was Richard Chamberlain?? Is he going to be in this?? Because IMDB tells me this is the only air time he gets.... ok, add this to the above question format and it still fits, I guess.
Cathrine Coulson's role made me cry a little. She looked so ill. But I'm guessing she did it because she really wanted to do this one last project with David Lynch. Made me want to go watch Eraserhead again.

For anyone who hasn't watched last night's episode (06/11) just a heads up that there is an upsetting scene relating to a child, so trigger warning for that.
