I "won" Christmas this year by finding someone to engrave bourbon glasses with manatees for my manatee obsessed SIL. She flipped.
Santa got both my boys the giant bruder excavator they've been dying for and I can't wait for them to see them.

We live literally on the opposite side of the world from all of our family. My dad's Christmas present is a plane ticket out here to see us. I'm super excited for him to meet LO - who is 10 weeks old. We also are flying BIL out here for New Years, which will be so nice. BIL is DH's best friend and I've known him since he was 11 yrs old, so we're pretty close. Can't wait to have family out here soon!!!

I’m super excited for DS to get his Santa gift. It’s a ply kitchen and he’s going to just love it. That and the big kinder egg. He’s obsessed.
I’m also excited to give my parents the photo book of our trip.

The one thing Reese wanted was Russian Nesting Dolls. I ordered a set off of Etsy from the Ukraine and it just arrived yesterday!
Reese told Santa what she wanted and he told her that he hasn't had anyone ask for that in 150 years. The look on her face was priceless when he said it.

Last time I was at mom's I made prints of some of our childhood photos.
I framed three vacation photos of my brothers and I with my dad and wrapped them up with a note thanking him for all of the childhood memories that I cherish.
My parents split a long time ago so he hasn't seen any of the photos in decades. I know it will mean a lot to him.

I got my dad an American Ninja Warrior experience. One hour on an indoor obstacle course with a former ANW competitor training him. This is very cool. I wonder if they have one around us; H would love that. I mean, obvs late for Xmas but...just to do whenever. ETA Only in Phoenix and San Diego. Bummer.

I'm pumped for H and DS1 to open everything. A lot if DS1's stuff is fun for them to do together (a new snap circuits kit, can robots, etc etc) so it'll all be a surprise for both.
Funny side note, DS1 woke up and opened a white elephant gift I had already wrapped under the tree. He was confused and thought today was xmas. He was even more confused when he opened a box full of liquor bottles. I am...not super happy to have to wrap it again, but he at least learned that he has go wait for us before opening anything tomorrow.

There are two that I'm most excited about. One was MH's idea, and the other was mine.
Gift #1: MH works in tech, and we're both techies. He loves getting tech gifts for people. This year, it's my dad. He's had the same crappy TV since my parents divorced like 8 years ago. He watches Netflix through his wii for crying out loud. So DH wanted to get him a new TV for Christmas. We found a really good one at Costco for a great price.
Gift #2: My brother and his fiancé are expecting their first kiddo together (she has a daughter from a previous relationship) next month. Money is tight already, and her maternity leave will be unpaid. So we got a bunch of the little stuff off their registry, plus other little things where having multiples comes in handy (and add up over time) to put together a big gift basket. Lots of bibs, burp cloths, pacifiers, bath stuff, etc. I'm super excited. We also have a big box of Lugnut's hand-me-downs to give them.

We opened gifts on Yule. I love gift-giving. I got H the Night Sky star map of when/where we got married. I was excited to see him open his Spider-Man rash guard and stocking stuffers.
Dd1 - Gel nail set with holographic polish and accessories, books and graphite art supplies. Dd2 - Chewbacca Christmas sweater, books and clothes (graphic tees, cat ear hats, anime socks)
Their shared gift was an Echo dot.
Ds2 - Kinect + games, Echo dot and R2-D2 Bop It. Dd3 - Guitar and tabletop easel. Those were her favorite gifts. An unexpected favorite was Paw Patrol chapstick. She also loves her fannypack. She has a few more gifts to open tomorrow that I'm excited about. Pony Up Daddy Saddle and My Size Potty.

DH and I have a serious college football rivalry and even though it causes me pain, I got him a new sweatshirt for his team and then found a matching outfit for DD. He would NEVER expect me to buy it for him let alone get something for DD too.

We got DS a train table and set and I think he’s going to love it. I gave him some small construction type vehicles last night and he loves them. They are the perfect size for the train table, too

We are sending my nephew to the Auburn bowl game. Watching him open the box with the tickets is one of the highlights of Christmas for me. He’s such a great kid and of course we are going with him. He keeps saying that he and I have a date in Atlanta. He’s the best.
