2 weeks, 2 days Gained an lb already. The doc said we can skip the 1 month appt. Fine. His latch has worked itself out and I’m producing way more than enough milk. I’m doing OK. Mostly healed in the bleeding is mostly stop so I’m gonna start working out next week. I’m gonna try out stroller strides a good reason to get out a house at least twice a week.
We keep meaning to make a will but we don’t have any idea who would take the kids.

How old is your baby? 1 week today!
How is weight gain? Last time she was weighed was day 3 and she had lost 5oz. Doctor wants to see her back to birth weight by her 2 week appointment.
How is feeding going? Excellent (EFF)
How is mama’s mood? 90% blissed out with 10% weepiness. It tends to come on at the same time each evening. I've stated to just close myself in the bedroom and cry it out in private so as not to upset my husband and dog, since now I know it will pass.
GTKY: Do you have a will? Good question! Nope.
Can I request baby pics?? I'll poof this later.

2 weeks 2 days Again, twinning with kensie5226, up a lb in a week. She eats ALL the damn time (see above weight gain). I'm glad she doesn't have any of the issues yet that my first had with respect to lip/tongue ties. My mood is better than it was - The weepiness seems to have passed finally. I'm getting enough sleep to function, and I'm adjusting to just not expecting to get much done these days. I have great friends nearby even though we just moved a year ago, so I feel very supported. My neighbor and good friend randomly dropped off a GF Nutella strawberry crepe for me yesterday. So all those things help. We had a will drafted along with every other related doc (living wills, health care proxies), and then because of my pelvic break, never ended up executing them before we moved out of state. So we need them updated for NJ, and then executed. kensie5226 - regardless of who you pick, the court could determine a different appropriate guardian, so try not to get too bogged down on caretakers because it's the thing you have the least control over, sadly. Our primary goal in "picking" was who could provide the most stability if we were to die - if that were to happen when our kids are young, it would be my parents, and if we are older and my sisters or BILs family is more established (both engaged right now with no kids), then we think he would be the better guardian. We've made clear to our family members what our goals are and that we expect them to work it out in the best interests of our kids.

How old is your baby? 2 days How is weight gain? Nope. Weight loss still. 7 lbs 8 oz at birth. Currently 6lbs 13 oz. How is feeding going? Not too bad. Getting our latch figured out. Trying to feed every 2-2.5 hours during the day. At night he feeds about every 3 hours but for longer times. How is mama’s mood? Feeling pretty good. We are getting released later today and just anxious to get home.
GTKY: Do you have a will? Nope and we need one.

How old is your baby? 5 days How is weight gain? Not sure. We have our first pedi appointment on Monday. He was down around 5% when we left the hospital, but with his size that is a lot. How is feeding going? I’m getting a better hang of the latch. My nipples are starting to heal up. He just keeps cluster feeding. How is mama’s mood? I broke down at 4am last night and H and I had the CTJ about me needing help. B slept hard yesterday from 6-10pm then was up 1-4am. We are going to try to wake him every 3 hours for the next few days and transition him into the crib again to see if we can get somewhere. GTKY: Do you have a will? Not yet. There really aren’t any family members that we would trust to raise our kids unless we reach out to some of my cousins. His going home outfit! Our final tech use to work at our IVF clinic and recognized us too.

We keep meaning to make a will but we don’t have any idea who would take the kids. We have this same dilemma. It's either H's sister who is kind of a mess and would not be a good role model, or my brother and his wife, who are great, but they live half the country away and are very firm in their decision to be one and done, so not sure they would be open to this.

How old is your baby? 4 days old.
How is weight gain? Good. He lost four ounces in the hospital and we just got out of the first pedi appt and he's holding steady.
How is feeding going? It's good. Without going into too much detail I found out about a month ago that I have a health issue that prevents me from breast feeding, which I was really disappointed about. However, I was a hot mess when trying to breastfeed DD1 and it was not good. Now I'm much more relaxed and MH can help more and baby is happier.
How is mama’s mood? Good! I honestly think it's the formula feeding and I'm just so fucking relieved that he's here and he's healthy.
GTKY: Do you have a will? Nope.

How old is your baby? 1.5 weeks How is weight gain? Not sure. We have R' s 2 week appointment on Monday. She lost 4% of her weight when she left the hospital. She was at 7lbs 9oz How is feeding going? Pretty good. Latch and nipples are good. But about once a day we have a huge spit up episode. And she is really gassy. I'm not eating anything crazy so not sure what's up. See what pedi says Monday How is mama’s mood? Overall pretty good. Weepiness has mostly gone. One more week and I'll start working out again - similar to last time. Already down to my PP weight so that has been a boost. GTKY: Do you have a will? No, but we know what we want. Now that we are done, I anticipate getting everything done soon. First snow in South Texas since 2004. Only second time in my lifetime.

How old is your baby? 3 weeks on Sunday. I hope you guys don't mind me staying on this board instead of joining November!
How is weight gain? Good! She gained 270 grams in a week (a bit over half a pound).
How is feeding going? Pretty good, we're waking her up every 3 hours during the day and every 4 at night if she doesn't ask for it herself. She spills a lot though, not sure if we should try a different bottle or if she is going to get better at it.
How is mama’s mood? Better. I have not had a meltdown today so that's a win. Also got a nap today, which is probably the explanation.
GTKY: Do you have a will? Yes, but I need to update it. We really need to think about guardians for baby girl as I don't have any close family that isn't too old and H's brother is both an idiot and on the other side of the world. The only real contenders are my BFF and her husband but they have two kids of their own and it's a big ask.

jrun2013, I'm sorry about the breastfeeding since you were disappointed, but it sounds like you are in a much happier place and less stressed with the FF. Happier you= happier baby and family. We are are waiting for E to pee after his circumsion before we can leave. He's currently close to the 10% cutoff for weight loss so we need to come back tomorrow for a weight check. Our nurse did warn us though that since he was a csection and didn't get squeezed at birth that there is no way of really knowing how much he weighed and how much was additional amniotic fluid in his lungs and belly.

How old is your baby? 2 days How is weight gain? Last night his total weight loss grew to 9%, so we are basically on the same plan as DD was even though he had a great latch. Maybe he is just a lazy eater or my engorged boobs are making it hard for him. So they just had me pump and we will sns probably his next feeding. How is feeding going? See above. It’s going ok. Milk is coming in. Nipples are sore. He went from great to being really picky and detaching. And he falls asleep eating. How is mama’s mood? I feel better today. Showered. Names our son finally. Took the dressing off my incision. Have taken a few short walks. I’m still very sore.
GTKY: Do you have a will? Yes. We did our trust, will, medical directives before DD was born. Of course I forgot to bring said directive with me to the hospital. Lot of use that one is!

I had an epiphany at dinner tonight. After DD1 was born, I was super weepy for days. I haven't been like that at all this time, but I realized I've been getting annoyed much more easily than normal. Is it possible that my hormone crash is manifesting it this way?
Either way, when I told MH, he said he much prefers this to the weepiness.
