We arent planning yet. We'll do the party a couple of weeks after her actual birthday. I have no theme idea. Maybe ballerinas since she's so obsessed? I still haven't figured out Christmas, so I've got no birthday present ideas yet lol

L turned 2 yesterday. Man the feelings were strong seeing all the photos from the NICU. We didn't do a party, but we went up the gondola and played in the snow for the second year in a row. We had a family dinner and cake, but we have no family around, so nobody to invite for a party. [\spoiler]

No birthday plans. She isn't until end of Jan but we probably won't do much more than family dinner.

We're an end of January birthday too. We'll do a small party with the neighborhood kids and a few of our friends. I'm not sure if we'll have a real theme this year, but I'm thinking of doing a rainbow color scheme and doing things like crayons and playdough in the gift bags. That's about all I've got.
We bought a little balance bike that my LO fell in love with at a garage sale, so he'll get that for his birthday, along with some things I've picked up at sales throughout the year - a couple puzzles and a wooden car playset.

Our party is this weekend! We are having 5 little friends (their parents) and my family. I am excited but have not done anything yet, of course! I think i'm going to the store today to buy stuff. I'm going to do a Frozen theme and just get Frozen plates, decorations, etc. I plan to put little play stations around for the kids to play, then eat, then presents and cake. It starts at 11 and I figure it will go for about 2 hours.
What should I do for food? I'm thinking about buying some bbq then making a nice salad? Then having stuff geared more towards kids but I'm stuck on that part. What should I do for the kids? I will have fruit for sure but what else?

You can find free frozen coloring printables online. One station could just be coloring? Maybe another with stickers (frozen themed), dress up?, play doh, duplo legos, etc. maybe pick 3. With 2 year olds they will probably just run around and do whatever anyway.

@kelltothekell - you cannot go wrong with a chicken nugget platter from chick fil a!! We serve those to the kids at pretty much every family party!!
You could also make a play dough station with cookie cutters, dough rollers etc. do you have a recipe for homemade play doh? It’s super easy and I am not crafty at all! It’s exponentially cheaper than store-bought and makes a bunch!

It’s exponentially cheaper than store-bought and makes a bunch! I LOVE both of those ideas! I originally thought about baking sugar cookies and having the kids decorate but nixed it because that's just to messy for this age at a bday party. The play dough sounds like a perfect substitute. Do you have a favorite recipe? I tried one recently and it was a fail.

Thanks so much theoprah ! Is it bad that I might ask my Mom to make this because I never cook and feel like I could mess this up

I tried to make play dough before and didn't have cream of tarter and used tarter sauce, lol. It didn't work.

We're definitely doing a ballerina party. It will just be family and a couple of close friends. M has one friend, and that's it, downside to not going to daycare. I still don't know what her present will be. Maybe another tutu?

DD2’s bday was December 23rd. We had her party that day at the local rec center pool. The party part was only an hour but everyone loved the pool.
