I finally got around to bookmarking our new board, so hopefully I'll make it over here a bit more often...
How's everyone doing? Any updates?

Things here are good. DD3 (almost 2) is teething her canines, and I am so glad this is the last time for that (bc she's our last kid, I mean). She has been whiny and needy for 3 weeks, and she's sleeping horribly. I can see one about to break through, so I know that's what it is.
DD2 (Feb 13 kid) is feisty and sweet and frustrating all at once.

All is well here. My Feb13 twins are loving their new preschool. A loves to paint every day, talks the teachers ears off, and is ready to start learning to read. I is working on overcoming his shyness and learning to make new friends. They've both blossomed in such incredible ways since changing schools. We agonized over the decision but it has been a great one.
My Aug15 is talking up a storm and thinks she can do anything her siblings can. I've been taking her to gymnastics classes which she absolutely loves. We're hoping to potty train over the winter break, but we'll see. I don't know how interested she is and I don't want to push it.
We're getting ready to remodel our kitchen. I'm relieved to have finally found a contractor since that's been a struggle. We're hoping to get started in January. This project is long overdue- the kitchen is literally falling apart!

DS (Feb13) started preschool this year and he loves it so much. I'm glad I talked DH into it. It's been great for everyone. His teachers send home optional homework and he can't wait to do it. He's been pretty challenging lately, probably due to his age and having a new baby to share attention with. But the times he's sweet or thoughtful, it melts my heart. He's active as all get-out. Kid is seriously non-stop all day and then sleeps like a stone.
DD1 (Dec14) is so cute. She has her sassy moments, and she can be defiant, but mostly she's loving and affectionate and silly. She loves to sing and draw, but her favorite thing is helping me bake. DS and DD1 are 50/50 between getting along perfectly and trying to kill each other.
DD2 is six weeks today. I feel like I'm starting to see glimmers of improvement, but things are mostly the same. She has started social smiling and it is everything. She has the hugest smile and I love it. Otherwise, I'm just trying to hang until three months. Halfway there, right?

We're plugging along here. DD is in a pre-K program this year and I love it. She has never been very interested in toys and still has a lot of trouble entertaining herself without interaction from someone else, so I think she needs the mental and social stimulation of school. She also still has a lot of anxiety so I do worry about how she will deal with kindergarten and riding the bus next year, but we will do our best to help her cope. She's very bright, outgoing, and at the age where she's easy and fun to take along on outings and events.
DS is doing well medically. He has not had a seizure since February when we started his new medicine. He is back in PT and OT since he's slightly behind with gross motor and fine motor skills. We're working on potty training but we're kind of at a stand still with it. He will pee on the potty if we catch him when he has to go, but doesn't usually initiate going himself. Behaviorally he is slowly getting better. He's very active and extremely strong-willed and independent, so he can be a challenge.
The puppy is 8 months old now and improving a little bit. She no longer makes me feel like I'm losing my mind at least. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed as I think about holiday shopping and preparations but mostly excited. Christmas has always been my favorite time of the year! Hope everyone is doing well, it's good to catch up!

Hey everyone!
We’re doing well, for the most part. DS is in a Sp Ed pre-K program where he is thriving. His communication and academics have blossomed in the past few months, though along with them he seems to have developed a healthy dose of defiance. 😉
The baby is a sweetheart, but has been in sleep regression/teething hell for the past few weeks. DH and I have been walking around like zombies, but are doing our best to maintain good spirits. We were very spoiled by her newborn sleep. She’s also creeping and rolling all over the place, which has been keeping me on my toes.
Now that the baby is a bit older, I’m trying to get more involved in my community by volunteering with a few different groups. I’m also starting to plan my return to the working world. I’m hoping to return next September when DS starts kindie. 🙂

We are doing well as well. DD1 (Jan ‘13) is in her second year of preschool and loving it. It’s soo amazing to see how much she is learning. The teachers are impressed with her letter skills. But her attitude at Home is horrible. Complete defiance unless there is something she really wants. She has taught DD2(dec ‘15) the same attitude. Lots of “NO” in this house right now. We have our good days and bad days as usual. DD2 is changing daily. Her words aren’t quite where I would like them to be, but she “talks” all the time. Our puppy is almost 6 months and is a puppy. I’ve done a very good job making sure he doesn’t chew on the girls toys, but the girls don’t understand being nice to him so he’s learn to be rough with them. Trying to fix both. Getting excited for Christmas as both girls will finally understand it all.

Omg I just ate a giant bowl of pho and I'm so full!
Not too much new going on around here. Feb13 kiddo started kindergarten in sept. She's doing great. I'm amazed at how much her letters and numbers have improved in such a short time.
Jan15 is doing great at daycare. She's a happy kiddo and a serious trouble maker. Thanks to her big sis her language skills are pretty advanced and I can't help but laugh at some of the things that come out of her mouth.
Dh is waiting on a job offer and will finally be moving to a new company. Looking forward to it for him and for me too bc I'm getting tired of hearing him bitch about work.

Things are going well over here. Mac (feb13) is in school and loves it for the most part. He has days where he wants to be with me instead, but he does so well. He’s such an old soul, I just love that kid. He’s obsessed with LEGO and pretty much the sweetest kid ever.
My J15 kid is something. He’s so high energy and so opposite his brother. He’s a challenge, but I can’t imagine not having him. He’s finally potty trained for the day time which I was thinking would never happen given how stubborn he is. Lately he hits and kicks so we’re trying to work with him on that but it’s not getting better. He has a huge vocabulary so communication isn’t a problem, he’s just rough.
We’re starting to get ready for the holidays and just enjoying each other. I’m starting the process to be a surrogate for my sister, first appointment is December which is pretty exciting but also scary. I’m afraid it won’t work and they’ll be out so much money, it’s quite stressful just thinking of them losing that much for nothing potentially. Otherwise, we’re hoping for a quiet winter and a nice holiday season.

My Mar ‘13 kid is in pre K. He’s just insane...he’s so freeking smart and inquisitive. He’s writing and asking 1000 questions a day. He’s so excited for Christmas. I told my husband this and next year may be our peak with both kids being so into it and we really need to embrace it.
My little guy (oct 14) is so different. He’s calm and quiet and sweet toddler. He loves to sleep and relax on weekends. He’s happy with most things and doesn’t ask for anything. I now realize how advanced DS1 was. I’m enjoying the prolonged sweet toddler time.

wineandcake oh my gosh! I missed the news about you becoming a surrogate!! That is absolutely amazing you're willing to do it! I hope it works Our, but even if not I'm sure she's so thankful you're willing to try.
