DS just gave me a 5.5 hour stretch. 😲 I'm telling y'all this, fully aware that I'm jinxing myself and knowing that he will now wake up every hour the rest of the night.

This kid keeps leaking out of size 1 diapers. I was already planning to go to size 2 when we get through the current box, but maybe sooner now. How is this possible?
I have the worst headache and (broken) sleep isn't helping. I want to lay down and be left alone for more than a couple hours. Not possible, I know....ugh.

Morning. I'm about to get DD up. I'm dropping both kids off at my dad's so I can go do my follow up GD test this morning. It's a fasting one and I'm starving.
Hopefully I don't feel yucky the rest of the day.

thatgirlrachel you have him in the crib now right? I can’t decide if I want to brave it or not. On one hand I think we would all sleep better, but on the other hand I think I would be a nervous wreck. I can’t remember when we moved DD1 but I feel like it was around 6-8 weeks. And all along I thought I was going to keep her in until like six months recommended time is by the AAP - ha! Those babies must not be grunting and squeaking and waking all night long CoachTsWife size 2s seem so big (right now) - where did your little baby go?!? 😊 sorry about the headache! mkrupar, hope the test goes well for you! Get something yummy afterwards!

Just got H and DD1 out the door. I’m just finishing up nursing DD2 and about ready to head back for her (and my!!) morning nap. I need to make a grocery list today. I also promise DD1 that we would go to the library after we picked her up from daycare. I can only read the same stories for so long - Plus between their train table, puzzles, and coloring area we should be entertained for at least an hour on this rainy Wednesday.

danvers, Yeah he's in the crib. All of us have gotten better sleep since we moved him on Sunday. Yes to grunty, loud babies! He grunts constantly in his sleep and of course I was waking up at every little peep. Do you have a video monitor? That helped ease my anxiety about moving him. Of course, after the first night of decent sleep that anxiety goes out the window 😉

DS's best sleep right now is in the RNP. We're so not ready for a crib transition yet. DD was between 4 and 5 months when we transitioned her, so I figure it'll be around then for DS as well.

4 humans in a queen size bed is not comfortable... dd decided to wake up and not go back to sleep around 3:30 so H brought her to our bed, plus feeding the baby in bed = crowded. Everyone got some sleep after but not much. We are now getting ready to go back to the hospital for a follow up, hopefully we won’t be there all day.
So we bought the Swaddle Me Close to Me Bassinet and the thing still moves even when locked out. I’m so mad, I paid money thinking that it could rock or lock out in a flat position and it can’t. We are going to figure out something today.

I have the worst headache. Ds1 is bouncing my bed and expecting me to talk and I can't handle any of it. Ds2 just ate and I put him back to bed but he was just crying. It wasn't helping. I'm trying to pump. I have so much to do today, but I'm not sure I can even keep my eyes open enough to do anything...much less dishes, laundry, floors, reports on the computer. 😭

Oh hey! It’s been a whirlwind over here since bringing E home. I was basically bedridden until Monday with a spinal headache. Two blood patches later and I’m feeling almost normal. Back is still bruised/sore but the bone splitting headache is finally gone and I can function again. DS is still adjusting and MH heads back to work tomorrow. I’m scared shitless of handling both kids in the morning and in the evenings. Luckily my mom is just down the street.
Oh and E refuses to sleep in her bassinet and is nursing about 50% of the time with a nipple shield. I’m in the whatever works phase but hoping to get her out of the RNP and off the shield completely within the next week.

I just took my first sip of (cold) coffee. I’m still drinking it and too lazy to reheat it. Did I mention it’s from yesterday? I stuck yesterday’s cold coffee in the fridge bc I didn’t want to waste my Sbux blonde roast. I should be an adult and buy some new kcups today.
I want to go to target and see what’s left of the Halloween stuff on sale, but I have 0 willpower and am kind of afraid that I’ll buy a bunch of candy I don’t need. But I mean, I do need kcups, sooooo....

I feel so nauseous from the glucose drink. I don't remember it being so bad with the previous ones. I'm going to end up crashing so hard.

Ugh it was a long night. DD2 has her witching hours from around 8-11, I finally got her down to sleep around 11:30 and me into bed at 12. But then she just kept waking up. At 3, I hear DD1 hysterical in her crib screaming for me and crying. She ended up in our bed, which we never do, where she finally fell asleep hours later. And of course the baby slept the whole time we dealt with big sister- that would have been a nice stretch of sleep. We were very late to daycare this morning and I am just snuggling the baby on the couch. I am very torn between a nap and a huge Starbucks...

Halloween parade at DS1's school this afternoon. Maybe I'll fold this basket of laundry that's been here since Sunday. I also need to change out the litter; we forgot this past weekend. Fun times.

My baby has done nothing but sleep today, despite my best efforts at feeding and keeping awake for even small amounts of time. This is all gonna bite me in the butt tonight isn’t it???

caitost21 Why out of the RnP?? That’s my savior! The bassinet is easier for me to get her in and out of because it is bed level. I also think it’ll be easier when it comes time to transition to the crib? Not going to force it but would be more ideal for me lol

Also having sleep problems over here. Except I actually get it and it does nothing. Whyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Because pregnancy is the literal worst. I have told DH multiple times that if i could do labor and delivery multiple times over and over again instead of pregnancy i would have more kids.

My mom is back at her house safe and sound. DH is off work for the next week, and I'm so thankful to have our house back.
Other moms of 2+, how are you managing not lifting your toddler? DS wants me to pick him up and carry him regularly, and sometimes I'm making compromises i don't want to make, like bribing him to come upstairs for nap because I'm not supposed to pick him up.

That was the hardest. I'd just tell him over and over that I couldn't pick him up. He's at daycare all day, so it was really just in the evenings, rather than all day. Also because it was in the evenings usually DH could step in and pick him up. I'd bend down to hug him a lot, though.

I finally got our photographer to respond and scheduled newborn photos today. She showed up 45 minutes early. At least they are done now and hopefully I’ll get the edited pics back soon.

Why doesn't this kid nap?! We do awesome at night but daytime is a vicious cycle of I'm tired, 30 minute nap, too tired. Over and over.
