DS2 has his school party tomorrow since he’s just Mon & Fri. I’ll be sure to post questionably appropriate Slash from GnR costume tomorrow.

I told DH I feel like a bad mom because we don't take DD1 trick or treating. I don't like Halloween and am holding off until she is old enough to know what's up. Probably next year.

We only take DS1 next door. This was the first year we went to the trunk or treat. We like dressing up and handing out candy, so I don't know how we'll manage taking the boys around when we want to be home too. |

Our house is kind of in the middle of the street so I took DD in one direction while DH stayed home to hand out candy and then we swapped. Worked out well because she could warm up a bit and dump out her bucket mid way! We don’t go super far because she’s little still, like less than a block each direction. We’ll do the same this year with DD, it’s supposed to be cold so DS will stay home. We do go trick or treat at grandparents houses earlier in the day too, but mostly to show off costumes |

Meh! I still have to sew DS yoda robe. Between him and I being sick threw a bunch of monkey wrenches in lots of things. I'm hoping lil fella will nap by himself this afternoon and DS will too so I can at least cut the pattern out and hoping to sew it tonight. Starting to feel like I'm on project runway lol! 😂 This yr I'll be home since I'm feeling quite awful and hacking my lungs out. Too bad though cos o sound like darth Vader 😅Praying baby will be spared 🙏 DNW a sick newborn plus I'm beyond exhausted at this point. Hubs will be taking DS tot tomorrow around our neighborhood with another family but will be short since school night.

rebeccabunch Here it's when, usually churches and businesses, have decorated cars in their parking lot and then kids trick or treat at each car. They usually do them on the days leading up to Halloween, there were a ton of them around here this weekend. We were going to attend a couple, but because both kiddos were sick and it's been in the 30s since Thursday, we stayed home.

I don’t have any pics of DS2 yet. Maybe I’ll update tonight. But here is DS1 at his school parade/party. He kept pointing at me holding the baby, telling his friends “look that’s my baby brother!”

Meh, we took DD1 last year and she had no idea what was going on. This year I couldn't get her into a costume and she didn't seem to care so I didn't push it. She is 2.5, there is plenty of time. I put the baby into her pumpkin gown at the exact wrong moment (who knew?) and she had a meltdown. Oops. I'll try again tomorrow just for the photo op. |
