So much cluster feeding. All night and morning he was eating every hour. I was able to get a late afternoon nap in but probably won't be able to sleep until midnight now.

danvers so so glad and relieved for you to hear your lil girl is doing better. Such a scare. I started crying yesterday when I was thinking of you and baby..... my fuzzy brain tells me that our bubs share the same bday right? Also I'm like worried over here about big bro and his sickness and praying no one else gets it. It's been so hard trying to stay away from him and not be able to give him lots of kisses and hugs and snuggles and I've washed my hands raw the last 4 days too now. Sickness just sucks. I hope everyone else can avoid it. Yes - our babes share a bday! Aside from being super sleepy, DD2 is on the mend and we are relieved. The pedi advised us to have hand sanitizer around with DD1 and encourage lots of hand washing. She also mentioned trying to encourage DD1 to kiss the back of the baby’s head or kiss her toes to try and discourage more germs but acknowledged toddlers were their own force to be reckoned with and it might be futile anyway. Sickness does indeed suck and hopefully your LO gets over it soon and doesn’t share it with the baby (or anyone else).

I forgot how much work it can take to get a baby to fall asleep. DD is becoming a bit more alert during the day and it took me over 30 minutes of rocking, shushing, and butt patting to get her to fall asleep for nap. I ordered the Love to Dream swaddle so we will see how she likes that. Of course, right now she is sound asleep in the bouncer where she has been for almost 2 hours. And I didn't get a nap today Or get to make my lactation cookies

I'm love titting the posts about no-sleep/cluster feeding in solidarity.
I'm on day 3 of nursing without the nipple shield. My poor nips.

Cluster feeding still going strong over here every hour on the hour. But I managed to make dinner, eat, and clean everything up while H was at a class with DS1. Yay me!
Now half watching the World Series and hoping the Astros play better tonight.

Cluster feeding + gas has been quite the combo today. He was up half the night wide awake and wanted to nurse almost all day. Thankfully he decided to actually sleep this afternoon so I got a bit of a nap in.
I actually have to go out tomorrow morning so I'm hoping to get at least a little sleep tonight so I'm not completely out of it tomorrow. Biometric screening for my health insurance at work, which is a 45 min drive away. I'm bringing DS2 along with me - should be interesting.

Today was bath day so I fed DD and then bathed her since she's still a super sleepy nurser, and then offered her the other side.
She gobbled it up.
And then spit the entire thing back up.
Sigh.

False alarm 3.0. Contractions were 5-1-1, so we came in. Still a 2, 80% effaced. She seemed concerned about my fluid levels because I'm past my due date and he seemed to be playing with his cord, so I'm still hooked up, but the nurse is going to push for an ultrasound to check on him and make sure he is okay to stay in there.

trinitrotoluene I really feel for you - it suck you have been dealing with contractions and prodromal labor for so long. It's really not fair. Good to hear they are checking on the baby - maybe they will offer an induction? Good luck with whatever happens!

The ultrasound hasn't come yet, but this new midwife is my favorite. They are keeping me and inducing me!
