I hope all the babies gave at least 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep and all the pregnant ladies got a nights rest without any false labor. What’s happening today?

Midwife appointment this morning and after I’m going to check out a used double stroller that appears to be a really good deal.
I’m going to have to set up a daily automated group text to inform people I’m still pregnant. I wish I told people I was due in November, it’s becoming annoying.

I got a call yesterday from a lady at church that she wanted to drop off a baby blanket. ❤
It's rainy today, so the only other thing is seeing if I can get an appt today with the hospital LC again.

DD is sleeping really great and I feel selfish for saying this but I wish she'd go back down.
She knows she's going to take another monster nap when she does. I know she's going to take a monster nap when she goes down. I'm ready now. She is not. I guess I'll be patient.

Dropping DS1 off at daycare this morning so we will have the day to clean up a bit and grocery shop. I feel guilty that I'm looking forward to a little bit quieter day.

Today is DH's first day back to work since J was born. Somehow both DS1 and DS2 were able to sleep until 8AM, so it has been a great start so far. My mom is resuming her nannying of DS1 since DH is back to work, which I am very grateful to have. Hopefully once we get into the swing of things we can do some fun stuff together before I go back to work (next year!)

DS woke up screaming in the middle of the night, kept me up for an hour, and somehow neither DH or my mom noticed. Also what i thought might just be allergies has become a full blown cold, so i had to wake up several dozen times to roll over so one side of my sinuses to drain. Plus contractions, but they weren't as strong as usual last night.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers . We will be here tonight as well but so far everything looks negative for bacteria growth which is good! They still suspect viral meningitis due to white blood cell count and some other stuff but viral is preferred to bacteria.
DD2 is super sleepy but nursing well when she is awake. Everyone here is super nice too. It’s a teaching hospital so there a lots of extra people around too. I don’t mind - the more eyes on my baby and her tests/blood work then the less likely someone is to miss something.

Ah danvers I'm glad it's viral! I hope your LO continues on the up and up. And really, is there anything you need me (us) to Prime you? Being stuck in the hospital sucks.

@tnt so sorry you have a cold. I had one when DS2 was born. The coughing was...not fun...postpartum. 😐 I hope you don't end up with a cough and the cold goes away fast.
DS2 is pretty normal at sleeping I think. He wakes on average about every 3 hours MOTN. But when feeding takes 45 minutes total that's about 2 hours of sleep for me between sessions. For some reason, in my mind MOTN I keep hearing all the people who talk about how their babies basically STTN since birth and mentally I'm struggling at times. Plus DS1 is really struggling with....something. Obviously still adjusting I guess. His sleep was terrible last night. My poor DH, he barely got any rest between trying to get DS1 back to bed and DS2 waking to eat.
This should be the last week for football. I cannot wait to get our weekends back and have help before 7pm on weekdays. And actually spend quality time with DH.

My Monday morning mood. FIL almost got hurt this morning when he asked me before my coffee when the baby was coming.

My Monday morning mood. FIL almost got hurt this morning when he asked me before my coffee when the baby was coming. Justifiable homicide. I do not do well with people's well-meaning "still pregnant?" "You won't be pregnant forever" or especially all of my mom's references to how she thought there would be a baby to help with by now. I just want to go into hibernation until this kid finally decides to come out.

I woke up feeling normal and now I’m back to being crampy and having contractions. This whole false labor shit is the pits. Either be the real deal or stop it, I got stuff to do!

Thanks to those of you who recommended the Love to Dream swaddle. I just tried it with the baby for the first time (trying out the crib for naps) and he slept 2 hrs 15 min. Even when he would wake/stir, he could easily put himself back to sleep - never even opened his eyes until he finally got up. Worth every penny so far!

CoachTsWife, I'm sorry for the struggles both you and DS1 are experiencing. Our adjustment period seems to be over but man it was tough. I hope it passes soon for you. And I agree about the MOTN feedings. It's a guarantee that I will be up for an hour each time G wakes. And when he wakes more than usual and gives me even less sleep -it's tough. Just sending hugs and commiseration your way.

1st solo day with the kids. We went for a walk to the neighborhood park. I'm going to have to check out the other two in the area because the jungle gyms at that one kind of suck and DD was kind of not impressed.
Our new house is at the top of the neighborhood, so pushing that double stroller uphill all the way home was brutal.

That football schedule is brute! BTW, DS2 is 3 and still doesn’t always sleep through the night. Anyone that gets lucky w a miracle sleeper pays for it one way or another.

Double stroller was purchased, the lady was so nice and it was in way better condition than the pics showed. Grocery shopping is done and ribs are marinating for dinner.
Midwife did another stretch and sweep, she did not hold back with the stretching. TMI alert bloody show has happened, now I’m crampy. She said that if this doesn’t work she doesn’t think the baby will come on her own so we are scheduling an induction for Monday or Tuesday depending on how busy the hospital is. I want to go into labor on my own but I feel good knowing that there is an end date to this, I was starting to think this was going to last forever.

Update #2 - so far all cultures continue to show no bacteria growth which is exactly what we want! I sent H the 1.5 hrs back home to get some clean clothes, hair ties, and whatnot. I told him to sleep for awhile too because, while do love H dearly, when he doesn’t sleep he’s a mess. He really is a great dad but I think he feels helpless here too. He’s hesitant to hold DD2 because of her IVs and monitors and whatnot so a lot of the soothing and stuff is falling to me.
Anyway, we are doing well. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. I was a hot mess this weekend but am feeling so much better about my parental decision making today and listening to my gut. It helps to know others are pulling and praying and sending good thoughts our way too!

Also - the free app “deep sleep” has been a white noise lifesaver here over the hospital noise and monitors. Just an FYI if anyone needs a free white noise app. Tons of sounds that will play for an hour (Ithink the paid version is continuous) and have been super soothing for our LO (and us) in the sleep department
