Up bright and early again thanks to a toddler who thinks 4:30 is an acceptable wake up time. He’s back in bed so hopefully he will fall back asleep shortly.
I had a great OB appointment yesterday. She swept my membranes but I don’t think it is doing much. Oh well. I’m scheduled for my induction on Wednesday night! Most likely an October 26th baby. I also spoke with her about the midwife at labor and delivery. Apparently I’m the second person to complain from that day alone so she is taking my complaints directly to the head of the department and MH wants to file a complaint with the state. It really hit me how inappropriate and wrong her exams was. My OB found my cervix right away and it was uncomfortable but not painful like yesterday. I told her that her exam and sweep was a massage in comparison to what that woman did. I’m glad I spoke up.

I feel like I've mostly lost my upper body strength. I just went to pick up DS1 to throw him in time out and fell backwards onto the couch.
I also just can't stand to be around him right now. He's testing my patience and I have zero for him right now. I hate that, but he won't listen (to be fair, he is 2.5).

caitost21 I’m glad you spoke up, if two people have complained think of the others that had the same experience that did not. FX you sweep does something this weekend. We are going to get pumpkins today because the weather is supposed to be beautiful and I’ve been slacking on that. The farm we are going to offered a tractor wagon ride to the pumpkin patch so hopefully that old wives tale is true and the bumpiness will jostle this baby. Then this evening we are going to my H’s best friends moms house for a very informal potluck wedding reception. He’s a bit quirky but really nice. The wife is not there because she’s pregnant and has HG. We had a destination wedding and he went to a souvenir shop and bought us picture frames as our gift so I went and got a really nice picture frame as a gift for them. H is going to put his picture in the frame as a joke, guys are weird.

Good luck today rachydc! Our weekend started off really well. We are getting into a good routine balancing DS1 and LO - they also have miraculously been napping at the same time each afternoon the past few days, which is awesome because it gives DH and I a chance to nap right along with them. Much needed for me! DS1 also got to watch Moana today as a treat for being a helpful older brother. He was so happy and got up to dance for all the songs. Watching that movie with pp hormones though....cue tears from me at certain parts with the grandma..😅😂😭 |

I feel like there should be a poll or something for everyone that’s still pregnant.... hoping that sequel makes his appearance this weekend. If he doesn’t I’ll most likely be induced after my OB appt Tuesday afternoon. I’m still having contractions and a few have been sharp & intense but they don’t stay that way.
Today is mine and H’s 6yr wedding anniversary, thankfully we got to go out to dinner last night and my mom is taking DD tonight so we get 2 date nights in a row!

Checking in from L&D. Not much happening. My contractions are mild and were 4 mins apart but seem to be slowing  . Hoping to start Pitocin around 2 and get this show on the road! |

Getting baby/sibling/family pictures this morning. Everyone coordinates, looks good and is happy. Giving DS a top up feed right now in the hopes he’ll cooperate and stay asleep, DD has been bribed with a treat after (DH too if I’m being honest 😛, he hates pictures). Fingers crossed this works out!

I broke out the Instant Pot last night, and have a meal plan in place for the week. I've spent the morning making keto zucchini bread and muffins (extra zucchini = doubled recipe) and chili. It's like 70+ today, so not perfect chili weather, but close.
We've got family coming over for lunch, then we're all going to a local farm for a pumpkin festival.
D'S is snoozing in the RNP and DD is currently playing in the living room.

I'm not a beer drinker but H bought St Arnold Oktoberfest and I had to stop myself from grabbing one at 8am. Something to look forward to tonight with a pumpkin roll.

Big bro still has a fever of 102+. I can't remember when you shuld medicate? I did medicate last night and motn again cos didn't want fever to go up to 103. Anyways it sucks. We have visitors from out of town this afternoon and I Plan on making tea sandwiches and a cake 😅 As soon as Lil fella here is done with nursing.

trinitrotoluene Big hugs - 3 weeks of prodromal labor is awful. I only had it for 10 days and was going insane towards the end. I really hope baby comes soon for you. cythe I also cried at another part that wasn't really sad - the spot where she sings "I am Moana!" and dives in to get back that green stone. Too emotionally charged for me I guess! I do love that movie though - tears were worth it.

DS1 is 3 and is mostly pretty good but is testing the limits right around bedtime. For hours... And I still can't pick him up either which is so frustrating. |

I feel like I've been on the great Brit baking show. Cake is made and glazed, sandwich fillings are made but not assembled. I had to have hubs put the cheese plate together cos it's time to feed lil fella. Oh well 🤷🏻♀️ Sandwich assembly will be done whenever lil fella finishes eating but visitors can start chowing on the cheese plate first and errr...tea. They'll understand 🤣
