After my sweep yesterday I had some inconsistent contractions, they let up and I was able to get some sleep last night. About 3:30 am I was up with somewhat more regular ones that also eventually fizzled out around 8 am.
11 am rolls around and we are back in the game. Contractions were all over the place today in length, duration, intensity, everything. I was so stressed and tired, I kind of lost it so my neighbor decided we were going to L&D. They checked me when we arrived 4 cm, rechecked me at 5 cm and finally admitted me.
I just got my epi and I'm feeling SO much better. Mad props to you med free moms. My mom will be here tomorrow night, just in time to drive us home (hopefully). I'm taking a nap!

For you night owls:
Got to a solid 6 while I was sleeping. Membranes are bulging, she was pretty surprised they didn't break during the check. She said something something the OB may come in and break them.
Sleep is hard with the monitors, baby hates side laying. This catheter is the best thing - okay, next to this epidural - I can drink all the water I want motn and not have to go pee eleventy billion times.

8 cm and just waiting for baby to make her grand entrance. 90% effaced. We are close-ish!
Unrelated: my neighbor called (She was at my house feeding my cats) but messed up entering my house alarm code. Basically she didn't know my security so the cops showed up. My cell was charging across the room and the epi means no getting that bad boy. We got it all squared away now. Quite a morning!

Yay cythe, good luck! So glad to hear that your mom will be here! Also I will +1 the catheter being great for unlimited water consumption, I hated going to the bathroom with the IV and monitors, such a PITA. |

Evelyn Grace finally made her appearance. 25 hours after first contraction and about 50 minutes of pushing.
We haven't gotten to BF yet but she's definitely hungry and wants to feed. She didn't pink right away, and so she got a visit from NICU but they were unimpressed with her case so they packed up and left. *poof*
