So I am considering going with my husband on a work trip to Seattle. It will be end of October, no kids, and he’d be working during the day so I’d need to find ways to entertain myself with no car.
I read the previous Seattle post and got some ideas for us to do together, but what are some fun things to do on my own? I don’t want to just shop, but I’m not sure what else there is to do and safe areas.
Also is late October too cold to enjoy hiking or wandering around outdoors the whole time?
Thanks ahead of time for any input. I love getting away with my husband, but ive never had time alone like this and I’ve never been to Seattle.

Bring a warm coat and an umbrella, if you don't like being rained on. It should be pretty cool and more than likely wet. I'm not too up and up on the hiking or outdoors scene in the area, but it might be a little difficult to get somewhere without a car. Their public transport is great in the city, but I don't know how far out the system extends. You could probably do a quick Google search and see what kinds of events are going on the same week/end you're there. I've found that if you pace yourself right, you can pretty much walk anyway you want to go. Pike Place Market isn't just a great place to shop, it has some pretty rad places to eat. Pike Place Chowder has some bomb chowders, made with the same fresh stuff sold at the market. I wish I lived closer, so I could go more often.

Thank you so much. I think I m staying on the waterfront and hope we get atleast a little non rain time to ride the ferry or do something outdoors. Definitely hitting up Pikes Place, I’m so excited for some good chowder.

Ooh, if you're staying near the waterfront, you should try walking up to Sweet Iron for breakfast, assuming you like Belgian waffles. They're soooo good and only a few blocks from Pike's.

We were in Seattle this summer and had a great time. I really enjoyed the ferry tour (there is indoor seating if it is raining) and we had a blast at the MOPOP museum if the weather is crummy.

Good to know about the ferry tour, I’m all in on anything outdoors. And we’re definitely keeping the museum in our back pocket incase of bad weather.
