Who else is up? New momma's? Pregnant's with insomnia or kids that just won't sleep?

DD decided that 4 am was a good time to wake up. I tried to cuddle her back to sleep but my bladder and inside baby wouldn't cooperate. I have a midwife appointment at 8 and ultrasound appointment at 11. I think I'm going to keep her home from daycare, the IL's can watch her.

I'm up! Pregsomnia is in full force lately. Midwife appt this afternoon and DH decided he wants to come along, so mil is coming over to watch the kids while we're there. Hoping to get a membrane sweep and be able to schedule induction for soon, in case that doesn't work again.

I'm sitting on the stairs mostly asleep because i took a quarter of a unisom, but am still somehow the only one who can hear the toddler wake up. We have been doing the sleep lady shuffle, but got stuck on me sitting right outside his door with the door cracked open so i can tell him to get back in bed whenever he gets out.

Surprise, surprise I'm up too. My cats have decided it's fucking go time and have turned H's side of the bed into a race track.
I'm going to have to get them all some flea and tick meds today. The apartment I worked at last week was apparently being sprayed for fleas after I took all the carpet out. I was told this, but it didn't really connect until I got home and realized my legs were COVERED in flea bites. So, fuck that guy and his infested house.
For the record, we've had fleas off and on over the years - not always a sign of filth or poor cleaning, it's just a thing in Virginia. That said, I've never let my house get infested to the point where I spent probably an hour in this apartment and got about 10 bites on each leg.
Tl;Dr - my cats are now extra itchy so I assume I brought some home with me. Sigh.

cythe Oh no, hopefully it's nothing and if it is fleas that it's easy to get rid of them. We aren't pet people so I don't know how had it would be.

Some rigorous vacuuming and spraying their bedding should do it. I should keep them up to date with flea meds each month but damn that gets expensive. Oh well!

And my youngest cat just came in an attacked the roll of toilet paper.
Today is a suspect and highly questionable day already.

Baby Burritos is here! He was born yesterday at 12:15 PM via planned RCS. So add me to the no sleep camp! Once we are in a routine, I will be good, but I forgot how much not sleeping sucks.

Today's my Friday until January! There are two meetings this afternoon, so hopefully it'll go fast.
Apparently my in-laws are coming in tomorrow, so I probably have to see them at some point when I should be relaxing and focusing on Friday. Bleh.

DD1 wanted me to take her to daycare today and H had an inservice day so it worked out perfectly to leave baby home for a bit. She’s been so good about drop offs but was kind of tearful this morning... which in turn made me tearful. Stupid hormones.
Plans for today include naps and shower - hopefully this will compensate for the crazy hormone nonsense stuff. I’m also going to attempt to take the girls to the library when I pick DD1 up from daycare today.

I slept terribly. I had terrible leg cramps and that weird mystery vibrating lower bump thing and could not sleep.
I just want to sleep all day but I have meetings. 😴😴😴

Well yesterday's hospital stay solidified for me that I will be avoiding an induction at all costs this time around (I say that now lolz). 5 hours in a glorified gurney being chained to uncomfortable BP monitors and not being able to eat or drink was pure torture. AND after all of that, the doctor said she wouldnt check me or strip my membranes! I couldnt make an appt to do that until Thursday. I left a bawling, hot, hungry mess and have never felt so defeated.
My head and neck still hurt from the accident, but im back at work trying to finish out my last week. Only trying to focus on the positives now, 2.5 days left of work and hopefully a damn sweep on Thursday!!
