I've heard niacinmide is good for pores as is bha. I really like Paula's choice stuff but there's stuff with these ingredients in stores too.

What is your current skin care routine? Some steps I have in my routine for this: - I really like the origins Charcoal mask. There are clay masks as well to help clean out your pores. - Pore reducing toner - I like the Neutrogena pore minimizing one. - primer before makeup. benefit Porefessional works well on me. murad as well. I hear Elf has a good pore reducing primer as well. - a really good cleanser to remove daily make-up + swear, dirt etc.

I find that the "double cleansing" method used in Asian beauty has been helpful at cleaning out my pores, which helps minimize their appearance. I've read in a few places that you actually can't change the size of your pores (and pores do not "open" or "close" - that's a myth), but if you clear the sebaceous filaments out of your pores, they will not be as noticeable because there will not be as much junk in them (hence looking smaller).
The basic premise of double cleaning is that you first use an oil cleanser to completely clear away makeup and gently massage out the sebaceous filaments in your pores. Then, you follow up with a water-soluable cleanser (ph around 5.5 is recommended) to completely remove all traces of the oil and whatever else the oil cleanser might have missed.
I've been doing this for about 6 months, and I've noticed that my pores have gotten a lot less noticeable, especially on my nose and chin. One last tip is to use an oil cleanser that emulsifies well - which means it breaks down easily when it comes into contact with water,. That way, it's easier to totally rinse off the oil cleanser and make sure it doesn't stick around to clog pores or break you out (if your skin is prone to that).
Finally (this is turning into a novel) +1 to BHA and niacinmide helping too. I like cosrx BHA blackhead power liquid - you can find it on Amazon.

I don't do anything different besides exfoliate every night but I use this under my makeup. It makes a huge difference. I didn't think it did until I applied my make up once without it after using it for awhile. I really noticed that my make up didn't go on as smoothly and settled in my pores. It's only 6$ smells so good, kind of like tea tree oil, and feels so silky smooth. I find that if I dab it as I'm applying instead of rubbing, and allow it to dry for about a minute, it fills my pores better and allows the makeup to sit on top so it looks so smooth. I can never go back to not using it.
