Mystery gals
I’m about 1/2 way through a book called The Last Place You Look by Kristen Lepionka. Very good!

Haha I have 5 ebooks I bought but have not read. I need to get on that. I gave my tablet to E which makes reading ebooks challenging basically impossible. H just asked if I wanted to start using his iPad for ebooks! Yay

I couldn’t put it down. It’s almost midnight and I’ve pretty much read it nonstop once the boys were in bed. I HIGHLY recommend it!

I started reading Glass Houses last night and I’m hooked. Halfway through already. It’s a police mystery set in Quebec and really good.

I might go back and read because I just looked it up and apparently it's #13 in a set?!? I couldn't even tell it was part of a series, it's been really good. I believe the guy lives in a village and commutes to Montreal in the book so if the places are real maybe you would recognize them!

Should we have an end of year book check in?
I’ll start one bc I love seeing these from others:
Goal # of books to read in 2017: Actual # of book read: Favorite book: Least favorite book: Most surprising book: Most overhyped book:

Goal # of books to read in 2017: 24 (I thought my goal was 52 but my planner tells me something else haha) Actual # of book read: 53! Favorite book: tie between The Fireman - Joe Hill & Station 11 - Emily St John Mandel Least favorite book: the dark tower gunslinger - Stephen King (The Handmaids Tale - but I cant count it because I gave up on it) Most surprising book: Behind her eyes - Sarah Pinborough Most overhyped book: the girls - Emma Cline
* this was harder than I thought. There were many fantastic reads.

Goal # of books to read in 2017: started at 40, then upped it to 52 later Actual # of book read: 63 Favorite book: Lilac Girls - I felt like this was so so good. Similar to The Nightingale Least favorite book: My Name is Lucy Barton - horrible. I never would've finished except it was an audiobook and I was painting so I couldn't change it lol. Most surprising book: Fitness Junkie. I wouldn't have ever found it but someone here recommended it and it was super fun. Most overhyped book: Wheat Belly. Just in general. I feel like I agree with some of the science behind it even but the book itself was dry and self righteous.

Maybe Glass Sword was most surprising. Because I really disliked the Red Queen but then this past month picked up Glass Sword and I loved it and am halfway through King's Crown already. lol. I think maybe I was not in the mood for The Red Queen when I read it, but I'm glad you guys hyped it and I tried again.

My goal this year is 52 again. I’m sure you can pick and choose from this list. It’s screen shots bc I didn’t know how to link to the goodreads app.

That looks fun 45thparallel. That book I read that takes place Iceland was translated into English. It was pretty good!
