DS loves football the most but it's the sport that gives me a lot of pause from a safety standpoint. So I keep pushing baseball, as it's his second favorite sport, but he's very much all football all the time. We're going to try "touch" football this spring after many seasons of flag, and I'm convinced it's a slippery slope to CTE from here.  Late to this convo so I bet we’ve moved on, but. This is us, too. DS is obsessed with football. We play some version of catch or drills or practice every. Single. Day. In our house. And literally inside bc Chicago winter. He is dyyyying to play football. We put him in flag football that his school offers but that’s it. I cannot cannot cannot allow real tackle football. I also told him about concussions and CTE brain injuries and told him I would not let him end up like Aaron Hernandez, to which I then had to explain who he was and all that happened, which ended with me showing him pictures of dissected brains - normal vs CTE ones, anddddddd I don’t think he’ll be in the medical field bc he almost threw up 😂 And he still wants to play football. Dude’s got a great arm, so I’m trying to push baseball but he had such crappy coaches during his time in the park district season he hates baseball now. Ugh. |

There is a sex side to LinkedIn? Huh. The only social media I’ve ever had a rando try to hit on me/hook up was LinkedIn! I thought he was super desperate to be trolling for dates there, but maybe I’m the one out of step with the culture. That is funny and so strange. I get sex trolls on IG a lot, which is weird because my IG is private and my avatar is of a dog. I have never been propositioned on LinkedIn and I always have a cute profile pic. lol. |

My H and I finished Oppenheimer, 6 months late, last night. What a beautiful film about something so very awful. But man, I didn't look into the movie much before I watched it and I didn't know Josh Hartnett was in it. I am much more attracted to him now in his 40s than I was as a teenager.

Did you see him in this latest season of Black Mirror? Mmmmm. I have only seen like 3 episodes of the first season of that show, so no, haha. I honestly didn't even realize that he was still acting because he hadn't been in anything I've seen for so long but then I went to his wiki while watching the movie and didn't realize he's been acting more in the last 5-6 years. Side note - my entire immediate family has met him, all at completely different times/situations. |

One of the McDonald’s franchises sponsors all the soccer teams here so it’s a McDs vs McDs in different colors. They call the teams by different MLS names but don’t put team logos on them. Just giant McDonald’s “M”s. This is exactly the same here but for my son’s hockey league. They’re all sponsored by McDonald’s but different colour jerseys. I just say “Go Orange!” Lol |

Tracy’s version is number one on iTunes I think a lot of (younger) people were aware it was a cover but I bet they didn’t realize how fucking fantastic the original is until last night so they all ran to iTunes. Would be my guess. |
