Please show me pictures and give me terminology. Also what stores to shop at.
What is a basic work wardrobe for a man in an entry position pretty formal corporate environment?
MH will want to do some sort of BOGO suit deal knowing his cheap self and I am not sure if that's totally appropriate or not at all appropriate or what.

Dress pants, shirt and tie? Will that be embarrassing if everyone else is in a suit? What width of tie is in style? Does he need a tie clip thing?

Do you have Jos A Bank? When MH was starting out he bought a lot of stuff from them because they are always offering some sort of stellar deal.

You might laugh but MH buys a lot of his more business type work wear from Marks. Does he know if it's business formal or business casual?

I might try somewhere like the Bay for entry level suits. They have sales pretty often. Or maybe RW&co for trendier styles?

What's the difference between business formal and business casual? Usually: Formal = suit and tie Casual = slacks and button down

From what I am gleaning from creeping the company on IG it's: Dress pants/shirt/tie/ sometimes with jacket for men And Blouse/skirt or dress pants/sometimes with jacket for women, or very nice work dresses
So formal I guess?

MH gets most of his suits from Nordstrom. They have great personal shoppers to help and you can find deals as well. This is genius. I can set him up with a personal shopper and not make any decisions myself? Hallelu. I could kiss you!

This is genius. I can set him up with a personal shopper and not make any decisions myself? Hallelu. I could kiss you! It really is the best. And even if you don't stick with it or buy much, they are pretty great at helping you determine the appropriate attire for any situation. So at the least, he should be able to come away with ideas on what he should wear. I think this company he's with is known enough he can probably just say the name and they'll know how to dress him. I'm so relieved right now I can't even tell you lol.

Keep an eye out for the Jos A Bank sales throughout the year to supplement whatever y'all get initially. Never pay retail there because they have crazy sales.

They have great personal shoppers to help and you can find deals as well. +1, I convinced my H to go the personal shopper route a few years ago and it's a game changer. Even if he decides to try to find similar items cheaper elsewhere, the personal shopper will show him how to put looks together and what styles work best for him. And if you build a good relationship with them they'll email you a heads up for sales, if something's being pulled from stores, when new stuff comes in, etc. As far as where to shop, Jos A Banks is a good place to start if you're starting from scratch. It's not the best quality and won't last forever but they normally have pretty good sales and you can slowly upgrade from there But for the love of god, please don't let him tailor his pants super short to show off the socks, it looks ridiculous

DH works for a business formal place. He only wears suits to court. Otherwise he does slacks, button down, tie and blazer. When he first started he had 1 suit, 1 neutral blazer, 3 pairs of slacks. And then he focused on ties and dress shirts. His advice is to put your money in good shirts and ties since those have more distinctive qualities than the neutral slacks and blazers of the world

My H is obsessed with Combatent Gentleman. It's only online, which is always tricky. But they have very good looking stuff, good quality, at good prices. I'd at least check out their website.

My H has some shirts from Brooks Brothers, and they are my favorite. He has had them since before we met, but they have outlasted some of his cheaper shirts. They do not wrinkle.

This may be not fancy enough, but Costco has no wrinkle dress shirts that are very reasonable in price with a selection of colors. They also have slacks. Add a tie and boom, done. If you need a suit I can't help you in Canada.

MH just shops at Penney's or Kohls usually because #cheap. Khakis, slacks, button ups, suits, etc. What does he actually need?

Think he'd be into a suit like this? This reminded me of something. I keep running into this same guy all over town that is anyways wearing these hideous plaid pants. Everytime I see him, I double take his pants, and he always notices, but hot damn. Those are some ugly plants. And you're sure it's not Harry himself?
