I lucked out for lunch. I had leftover Cajun chicken pasta from the skinnytaste website. I'm feeling satisfied so far with breakfast and lunch. Night time is my challenge and I guess it's good I recognize that. We normally never have leftovers because we eat everything so my goal is to make sure there is leftover dinner for lunch the next day and that way I'm conscious to not over eat. I am way more successful when I can pack leftovers from dinner for lunch the next day, so I try to do that as much as possible. When I can't, I make a turkey wrap. Whole wheat tortilla, turkey, lettuce, tomato and sometimes avocado. Lunch is so hard for me since staying at home. I'm making toddler meals all day that I have no energy to make anything for myself. Having leftovers will make it much easier to actually eat!

Having leftovers and/or meal prepping something on Sundays is the only way I am guaranteed to have a healthy lunch. I should get better about meal prepping. Especially for snacks. I cut up a ton of cucumbers and added them to a bags with grape tomatoes in them. It is a perfect snack and easy to throw into my lunch box, as well as, dd's lunch. If it is easy for me to grab I am more likely to snack on that.
I did the same with some fruit last week.
I need to keep this momentum going.

That's a good idea. 👍🏼

I downloaded the free version of the app but haven't really used it much. The paid version seems pretty pricy, so I'm holding off until I know more about it.
I actually did a meal prep on Sunday, it took me a couple of hours to have breakfast & lunch for the week. I thought I'd share since there's lots of talk about lunches. The guy doesn't give the amount of coconut oil that he used. I did 1 tbsp. in my grill pan for the chicken (though 1/2 way through I found myself wondering why I didn't just cook it on the grill!), 1/2 tbsp. of butter for the rice and 1/2 tbsp. of butter for the broccoli. I also roasted some zucchini and added it. It turns out to be about 460 calories.
For breakfast I made this baked oatmeal: blog.myfitnesspal.com/recipe-blueberry-cheesecake-baked-oatmeal/
ETA - I didn't know the video would embed like that. And to add that now that I see the pic, I forgot to make the yogurt sauce that goes on top! I even bought full fat yogurt to make it! Good thing I have 5 more meals to try it on.

Ali7P I have a super fitness friend from college who has been doing these meal prep things with her H for about 3 months now to get back in shape after her baby. The food looks really good when she posts it and she has had great results (she works out a ton too though 😉). I'm thinking of trying it soon.

I just went to the grocery and the majority of what I bought was vegetables. I don't even know myself anymore. I felt this way this weekend. I bought spaghetti squash and zucchini and sweet potatoes on top of our usual carrots, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Add the fruit to it and I spent more in the produce section than the rest

My produce bill is always astronomical, but I'm set to finish dinner with 268 points left for the day!!! I'm eating early bc H is working late and I was hungry. I can use the leftover calories for a fruit snack later.

Or my new obsession is the cinnamon bread thing from fiber one. 90 calories and 1/4 of a days fiber

I blame angelashly, I went and bought a magic bullet so I can do smoothies in the morning. I'm going to do greek yogurt and/or avocado rather than protein powder for now. IT'S YOUR FAULT, DUDE. #sorrynotsorry It's really the easiest thing. I'm going to add some strawberries and spinach tomorrow

This seems so obvious. Banana and strawberry smoothie should go down no problem. Breakfast is my challenge too. We get up and get ready and go and then I'm at work and get busy. Soon it's 10:00 and I'm eating anything in sight. This I can drink on my way and have a light snack at 10 to tide me over

angelashly , I had a plan to go to the gym while the kids were at camp. I went to Target instead. NYX makeup on cartwheel, btw. I logged like, a bunch of steps? I call it a win. Baby steps

I had 200 left and opened wine. I fitness good. eta in the 1200 calorie allotment. I have set 1600 for myself, and I'm fine for dinner and another glass of wine. FFTC: the first thing I thought of when I realized I had extra points was the vinho verde that's open in the fridge that's probably going to go bad bc H isn't a wine drinker. I decided fruit was better for me, though. And more filling.

I finally meal planned and will hit the grocery store tomorrow. Tonight will be the test if I can control myself after dinner. I'm hungry but it isn't unbearable like I was thinking.

I finished 3 calories under for the day, and I made all of my colors balance. I don't know how to say that. I was ravenous at dinner and ate 3 cups of cauliflower rice, which is like 120 calories total.

I'm cooking dinner now. We eat late. Anyways I'm making whole30 compliant chicken tenders, roast red potato, and asparagus. I'm cooking with butter but less than 2 tablespoons.

I like it as "potatoes" It makes a very excellent burrito bowl- use it in place of rice. I like mine topped with tomatoes, cilantro, guacamole. When it's put together, I can't even tell the difference. I buy mine already fixed and frozen, so just microwave and steam it. I season it after, according to what I'm going to eat it with.

I was able to do this (runner's lunge) today. It was the first time I've ever been able to completely come down on both forearms.

Adding in on the cauliflower rice, I use it like spaghetti squash, instead of pasta. It's good with a little tomato sauce and meatballs (or turkey meatballs) and, of course, parmesan cheese.
I've also served it with a little butter and parm cheese and pretended it was risotto (it was good, but not fooling anyone).

Last night I kept my calories at 1500! I was a little hungry but knew it was due to not being used to it. My stomach is trained to eat like 3500 calories a day. Anyways, I call this a huge win. I want to try and eat 1200 calories this week to see how I feel. I will say I noticed while I was cooking dinner I got that low blood surgar feeling. My breakfast and lunch reflected more of a 1200 calorie day so it may be too little calories for me to actually function all day.
