Hi. We’re less busy today at work. Boys have karate tonight and I’ll probably just pick up pizza or something for dinner. Hey Cher! Hope all is well for you all.

Hi ladies. I stayed home from school today, the idea of walking into a huge school with lots of people was a bit to much for me. I took a half day and did some stuff from home. I couldn’t find an available psychologist, so the search continues.
I made chicken pot pies for tonight hopefully dd2 will go down relatively easy…

I'm around. I'm glad you had fun last night tgrimes! It's gorgeous here, close to 80 which is unheard of in October, so I took an hour to walk around the town next to our and get a latte. It was nice to be unchained from my computer for a bit. I am expecting DH's new MacBook to be delivered this afternoon and need to sign for it so I am chained up again. Soccer practice this afternoon and then C has a virtual counseling session right after so we are doing it from the car. Should be interesting.

Anyone with telehealth available? I know in the States that is much more available right now.

Anyone with telehealth available? I know in the States that is much more available right now. I was a smart move. I also called my mil/sil to tell them how I’m feeling and that me not attending certain things (birthdays, drinks inside etc) has got nothing to do with them and everything with me, and that I hope they don’t take it the wrong way. I’m not sure about telehealth. I could look in to that, thanks .

You guys… after literally ten years of talking about it my parents but the bullet and bought a small campervan (occasion, checked and with a warranty). They were so incredibly happy! After 2 miles one the road all the lights in the dashboard stopped working. They turned around hoping it was a quick fix… We’ll not so much, it’s some kind of electronic plate that needs to come from France… they were supposed to go to Norway tomorrow. I cannot believe my parents luck.

Hi. I’m freezing. It’s in the 40s today and I’m not ready. I’m sitting with the fireplace on and a cup of tea. So I’ve ordered most of the furniture for post remodel and a lot of it wasn’t going to arrive until November/December which is fine. But the chairs I ordered from west elm have already been pushed back twice. They’re probably on the cargo ships stuck at sea, so who knows when they (and the rest of my furniture) will show up. Very much a first world problem, I know.

I am working today, then driving to STL tonight. Sierra has an appt tomorrow with the neurosurgeon. Then I am dropping her with my parents while I enjoy a glorious afternoon of shopping by myself!

FB just showed me my memories from 3 years ago when we were in Fiji. So now instead of working I am trying to figure out when we can go back.

Seems like that is this years theme.

nam2013 As someone going through vehicle issues, I understand your parent's frustration. I could have taken mine in today and gotten another rental, but they told me they won't have a tech to look at it until Tuesday. If it's just going to sit, I'll keep driving it, since the problem isn't as bad as it was before. One of H's cousin's is currently dealing with the lemon law/dealership/lawyers and holy crap...I would definitely turn it back in on the lease and get something new, before pursuing that route. I did check the 2 dealships I've worked with. The one I bought through has 3 Grand Cherokees on the lot, the one closest to me that I'm having the work done at has 5. This is such a weird world. tgrimes glad you had fun last night! Hopefully you get something for lunch that makes you feel better and some caffeine to power through! Nice to see you around here Cher!

Seems like that is this years theme. Every. Damn. Thing. has a part delay. As someone who buys microchips (and similar parts) all day long, the lead times are insane. I saw a lead time on a supplier's website for a part that said 9999 weeks. I was like...no one on this planet will still be alive then. And even though it's on the news daily and we live it...people still don't get it here.

nice to see you here Cher! SSDD here, dealing with some work nonsense today then working from home tomorrow so I can go to Color Run at S school. I volunteered for the book fair next week (it's my fav thing to do at the school, I love helping them all pick out new books!) Other than that, we are trying to book a last minute trip for the first week in November. It started out S was were off just the Thursday and Friday and no he's off Tuesday too and they added half days for M/W. So... barely any school. We are going to try to book something leaving Wednesday afternoon returning Sunday. So that's something to look forward to.

nam2013, I'll let you know if I see anything next week. I actually just posted this in a thread on GD - but S read all the Dragon Masters books and was really into them. They are early chapter books. He's into the comic type ones that I hate now. But I don't care what he reads as long as he's reading. I'll see what's new when I'm there next week!
