Baseball people - where you at? It’s the most wonderful time of the year. We made it through 162 and now we are hungry for more. Get out the stadium bunting, book your best national anthem performers, and get ready to roll your eyes at Joe Buck. Who’s watching?
Answer some, all, or none of the following questions:
Who is your regular season team?
Who are you rooting for if your team is not one of the elite 10 to make it to the post season?
Which team do you hope gets punted into the sun?
What ballpark food do you definitely get in a World Series situation?
Which MLB hottie do you want to see four more weeks of? Bonus points for a pic.

Sorry in advance to any Yankees fans. I meant to start this earlier today but didn’t have time. So we’ve already got our first casualty of October. Good try.

I’m a Phillies fan, so I don’t go here. But we are super into baseball in my house right now.

Woohoo!
The Astros are my team. They faced a lot of adversity this year, especially away (with rough treatment by most opposing fanbases) and they just continue to show up and show out. Proud of them.
I want whoever is playing them to lose, badly. 🤣 But the Dodgers are the next team that I hope falls. Joe Kelly has been quite the pill.
Our team is so pretty! Some of it is the baseball allure for sure, but Kyle Tucker is a cutie. Jose Altuve is an evergreen fave as well - his smile is killer.
October stresses me out. H is a baseball nerd and an uber fan. We will be ready for baseball season to be over soon enough. And then, 2 months later we will start our countdown for Spring Training!
Good luck everyone, let’s play ball!
ETA food: hot dog with mustard and sweet relish (bc they don’t have dill), maybe nachos (just chips and that liquid cheese stuff), and Blue Bell ice cream (if we are at Minute Maid Park)

Yes!! October baseball is the best baseball!
Who is your regular season team? Houston Astros
Who are you rooting for if your team is not one of the elite 10 to make it to the post season? Astros are in! LFG!
Which team do you hope gets punted into the sun? Well the Yankees just did. That was fun. Sorry Gerrit! I bet Yankees fan would like you to go back to representing yourself again. Next up? PLEASE let the Cardinals beat the Dodgers. That would be even more fun.
What ballpark food do you definitely get in a World Series situation? Pretzel dripping in butter and salt.
Baseball hottie? I don't know but DD has a major crush on Kyle Tucker.

Who is your regular season team? NY Yankees.
Who are you rooting for if your team is not one of the elite 10 to make it to the post season? Braves
Which team do you hope gets punted into the sun? Red Sox and Tampa
What ballpark food do you definitely get in a World Series situation? Hot dog and beer.
I'm disappointed that the Yankees lost last night. They should be a better team but we're so streaky this year.

Phillies. Forever and ever.
Look, I know I’m supposed to be Rah Rah Bryce Harper but I am not. That team has a lot of guys who step up day after day - Jean Segura and Brad Miller were so clutch this year! Zack Wheeler was amazing.
The Braves swept us to take the division but I’m not even sorry. Go Braves.
Please, just someone beat the Giants. Eff Gabe Kapler.

Present! I’m a Red Sox fan. I don’t expect them to survive TB. But that’s okay because the Yankees got punted into the sun last night, so win or lose, it’s already a great postseason 😉

I love October baseball. We are Red Sox fans first and foremost but we are also Tampa fans since we lived there and had season tickets in 2008 when they made it all the way too the W.S. It was funny because the AlDS we rooted for Rays, the CS were rooted for the Sox and were at game 7 when they lost and back to the WS as Ray’s fans.

I’m a Rays fan, so will be rooting for their first World Series win this year. I want to see the Red Sox out of the postseason for sure. As far as stadium food, I’m a purist and usually go for a beer, popcorn, peanuts. The only answer to the hottest baseball player is Kevin Kiermaier, and if I knew how to insert a picture I would!

I'm bound by my marriage vows* to root for the Dodgers until death do us part. So Go Blue!!
I cannot name a single player other than Kershaw.
*Kidding, slightly.
**On a more serious note, the grandfather who was a die hard Dodgers fan passed this year. Rooting for them is a way of keeping his memory alive for the whole family.

Another ‘stros fan reporting!
I love the specialty food at Minute Maid, so I always do a lap and see what’s available before I decide. I had the Irish nachos at the last World Series game I went to, so If we’re there again I’m sure MH will not let me change it up. We’ll be at game 1 of the ALDS Friday afternoon so I’ll let you know what I choose. 😋
I’m a big Alex Bregman fan. Not in a he’s so hot way but in a I love to watch him on and off the girls way. It started many years ago with absolute shenanigans, but there is renewed fervor with his salsa this year which I am fully stocked up on.
Dodgers can kick rocks and that’s the nicest thing I have to say.
I forgot the other questions.

imapenguin, y'all have so much fun! Super jealous! We went to the last regular season game and it felt like a playoff game. So much fun. We picked that game for the Yuli bobblehead (DD's other favorite) but got so much more. A speech from Lance, two moments for Correa, a Tuck home run, the winning hit by the AL batting champ. OMG. I was like um I thought this would be an easy light game. I did not expect to cry.

Terry and Gabe aren’t baseball whisperers. They were handed excellent teams (Boston, SF) who played well together. This also goes for Girardi in reverse - he was handed a team that has some troubles. Like, c’mon Philly. You expected to make the playoffs with our shit bullpen and shakey starting rotation, but it’s all Girardi’s fault? ::waves hands:: Please. Fix your pitching. Make the offense not haaaate the pitching staff that doesn’t support them. That’s not on a manager; that’s on the front office. And it applies to Terry and Gabe, too. Their front offices put together stellar teams. Props where due.

Don’t even get me started on Hector Neris’s “nickname” of “The Protector.”
WTF IS THAT.
Man blew something north of 20 saves this year. Protector of what, exactly?
I’m heated.

Woohoo! Love all the baseball nerds coming out to play! Here are my answers: My team, always and forever: I won’t even speak on who I’ll root for if they are knocked off. Ask me after I recover from mourning. The Braves are my secondary NL team so I’ll be rooting for them as well until they play the Gigantes. Punt into the sun is always the Dodgers. There is a lot of debate on if we want to face them in the NLDS and I can’t decide but I lean towards earliest exit as possible is best for our mortal enemies. Baseball hotties: Apparently this will cause some bad blood (sorry I didn’t realize the pain) but I’ve been very much enjoying the skipper this year. Kris Bryant on loan from the Midwest wears our City Connects nicely And B Craw turning a double play is always a thing of beauty. Ballpark food: if it’s a special occasion you know I’m getting one of these:
