Local friends, if you're looking for fall fun, Sun Country Farms on Hwy 36 was great today. Petting zoo, bounce house, corn pit, hay ride, etc. We were able to keep well away from everyone except on the hay ride. Good prices on pumpkins and decorative gourds too. This is where we went last year! The kids were still in virtual school so we snuck out early in the afternoon on a weekday and there was no one there.

overboard, I'm sorry. Is there room to move up? Possibly. But I’m not sure I want to work with this org though. I’m continuing the job search.

I'm a bit of a wreck. After my biopsy I ended up with an infection. I had my surgery last Wednesday and that went fine, but my bleeding is heavier than expected and over the weekend I almost fainted and am having dizzy spells. Spent most of the day in the ER yesterday and they can't find anything wrong so they gave me a bunch of fluids. Woke up feeling fine and then on the (slow) walk back dropping the girls at school this morning, the dizziness started again. It seems like there might be a low blood pressure thing going on, but I'm not anemic. I don't even know. Lingering effects from the anesthesia? My body is such a drama queen and overreacts to everything. Still waiting on my pathology results from the polyp.

byjove that does not fun. Maybe you just need to get some rest? I'm so sorry. Let us know if we can do anything to help. I am EXHAUSTED. Appraisal was done yesterday and we spent the weekend doing renovations. I'll try to get on tapatalk in a little bit and post some pics. We did more than we needed to for the appraisal, but it was seriously in need of some updates and it looks and feels like a whole new house. We decluttered a LOT, so it feels a lot bigger too. Closing is still scheduled for next Wednesday, so fingers crossed there are no snags. We've emailed back and forth between the mortgage company about a billion times. Neither of us has ever bought a house before, so we didn't know just how overwhelming this would be. I knew it would be a lot, but wow. It really tests a marriage too lol.

byjove hoping they can figure it out and the polyps come back as just annoyances. My lightheadedness comes from lower blood pressure mixed with needing to drink so much more water, like pregnancy amounts, but then I’m not hungry, a weird balance I haven mastered yet. overboard I’m sorry, that sounds miserable. The atmosphere & people at some places I’ve worked have kept me around and at another has pushed me out the door. Hoping you can find a better fit. LaRo422 house buying is so stressful, Sounds like you are getting close to the finish line with the hand ramping amount of signatures and some keys!

Thanks all <3 I really appreciate it. I feel a bit crazy because technically my doctor said I would be fine to go back to work the next day (lol to that, at least I had no expectation to do anything for a few days after), but a week later I am still feeling not great. I just wish I knew what was causing the dizziness and how much longer it will last, but as I said above at this point I'm leaning towards after effects of anesthesia (before the dizziness started, I had an awful awful bitter taste in my mouth after surgery which seemed to be from the anesthesia, hence why I'm leaning towards something was off there)- or maybe I just need way, way, way more recovery time. Idk. I've definitely been resting and I've added in pedialyte. I'm not prone to dizziness like this. All of my bloodwork was normal. *roars frustration to the universe*

byjove I don't know if you're well enough to get to a store, but I started using Liquid IV packs to add to water a while, or Biolyte (comes in a bottle), and they make me feel way better than Pedialyte. The Biolyte has a saltier kind of taste, but I just chug it down. I hope you feel better soon!

byjove, yikes. How frustrating! I will second LaRo422's suggestion. Electrolytes imbalance makes me feel similarly.

Congratulations clucky! That must feel great! I hope you feel better soon byjove. I have a body that needs lots of rest and recovery time and is extra sensitive to all kinds of things, so I feel your frustration. Good luck with the closing process LaRo422. I’ve never sold a home but I’ve bought one, and woof. It is a lot.

I just got my flu shot through our clinic at work - and brought my husband and daughter since it was advertised as open to all family members. The company outsourced to do the clinic was so rude about me having my 3 year old there, even though it explicitly said it was for ages 3 and older.

That’s all Navient sends you clucky? I still have another 12 years left on mine (thanks to a stupid low interest rate and a 30 year fixed term) but I was kind of hoping for a yeti? A t shirt? Maybe a bumper sticker? Congratulations on being free!

OMG our Gov went to Texas today to 'deal with the border crisis' (eyeroll) and the Lt Gov has been issuing EOs left and right about vax mandates AND deploying the National Guard to the border.
we are still in crisis standard of care, a district had to close schools because of lack of bus drivers, and ~30 people a day are dying of covid. but yeah TEXAS needs him.

Has anyone ever refinished their own tub? I may be going off the deep end, but I have begun researching how to refinish our bathtub. It is cast iron and the only thing that stayed in the remodel, but it has seen better days - thank goodness it is at least white. Then I’m thinking that if I do it, I may as well make the bottom non-slip so I don’t ever need another bathmat. I’m spiraling and the charge on my battery may not last for this research project to continue tonight.

I was also just discussing with H and said that I barely can manage cleaning it before my knees start screaming. My next googling told me that the place down the street does this, so I will be calling them tomorrow.

Texas doesn't want him (well- sane Texans don't want him. Or our own Governor, for that matter). We have too many of our own crazies; take your Gov back please and thank you.
