I have an in person 5K on Sunday, Dog Jog. Excited because one of my besties crochets stuffed animals for people to raise money for this shelter (she volunteers there too) and they asked her to run a vendor booth with her stuff and other crafts from other people. Very cool.

So excited for October! This is my ideal weather for getting out and being active.
I put on both a dress and pair of pants today that were too tight and it was a HUGE bummer. It’s a good wake up up call and motivator to get back on top of my food choices, which have been more lazy than mindful recently.
Goals: 1. Track EVERY DAY (I started strong in Sept but fell off quickly) and ideally stay within my macros 6/7 days a week.
2. Close my rings everyday.
3. Run at least 2x a week, but preferably 3.

DS didn’t have school today for teacher in services so I took him for a 45 minute bike ride during my lunch break. It’s one of the nice things about working from home

I did a 10 minute climb ride with Alex (beat my 10 minute PR! Not really saying much since I rarely do those and they are usually cool downs, but I will still take it lol) and then a 20 minute 90s ride with Denis. Denis is just so soothing, and I liked this playlist. Food is kind of up in the air, especially because I think we are getting takeout for dinner. Probably sushi because that’s what we both usually want. B- bagel breakfast sandwich with egg and cheese, lots of coffee with pumpkin spice creamer and collagen peptides S- ABC bar from Trader Joe’s (with almond butter- pretty good!) L- leftover Lillie pasta bake S- probably Built bar because I’m addicted and it is perfect for my sweets craving in the afternoon D- sushi, wine I love Built Bars too. I have a giant stash in our basement pantry, they’re perfect for satisfying a candy/dessert craving.

7.5 mile ride & 5 min arms today. I usually work out later but the rest of the day is jam packed and I didn't want to skip. I like to start the month off right!
This will most likely be my last month with outdoor biking so my last opportunity to try to meet my goal of 900 miles. (I'm around 750). Also must do more core & strength!!!

Good luck cnf with your marathon! Wish I could be there holding some funny or motivational sign to cheer you on! Hope your 5k goes great Rusty Red. Your friend's fundraising booth sounds really neat.

My Sept goals were to focus more on me and I think I did ok with it. Met my therapist and I’ll start going to her monthly or every 2-3 weeks. I wish therapy wasn’t so expensive. For activity, I want to ride 5x per week and add strength 3x per week. Like cnf I’m going to need to train myself to get up early before work or it’s not going to happen. I always feel better on workout days but woof to getting up at 5 for funsies. For food, h and I need to cut down on grocery costs. Like big time, it’s insane. So I think smaller meat portions or more meatless meals might be a place to start. And maybe cancelling the Costco membership because that place always works out to a $300 visit and I don’t know what happened. Make sure you add up your savings first though. I was considering canceling my membership for the same reason, so I did an experiment where I took everything that I bought during a big Costco trip and calculated how much it would have been if I had gotten the same brands/quantities at Kroger. Costco ended up being over $200 less than it would have been had I bought everything at Kroger. Plus the gas discount. I just need to be rich, that’s all. Easy solution!

Started the month off with… 10 minute low impact ride with Sam 20 minute 80s ride with Denis 10 minute upper body with Jess Sims
Yeah feeling the upper body already.
It’s been raining all day so the temptation to lay on the couch was great. I did a little but felt good to get some movement.

30 minute full body strength with Callie this morning. I had planned on a walk this afternoon, but it's raining on and off now, so I think that's off the table. I really need to just get myself away from my desk and walk earlier in the day rather than waiting until later in the afternoon. After being stuck inside for so many days quarantining, I'm looking forward to an outdoor run tomorrow.

I pivoted and made myself Lillie’s Cava Mediterranean grain bowl dupe for lunch since DS allowed me to get up for a bit. It was really good and saved me from ordering actual Cava on Uber Eats for a big up charge lol.

I had to slow down my strength workouts with going back into the office for September. But I am still making good progress so at least my lunch walks are still doing the job.
Just planning to keep it up in October.
Today I was home so I did chest/back and core.
10 min chest/back with Ben 10 min chest/back with Rad 10 min postnatal core with Robin
I really like the postnatal core with Robin. I need to get back to working on those deep TVA muscles.

Hi all! I haven’t posted since June and need to be back here. I haven’t lost any weight but haven’t gained any either so I guess that’s good! MH and I are going on a beach vacation to Mexico in March so I’d really like to be in better shape by then.
I’ve been going for daily walks/jogs with my dog and trying for a 20 minute peloton strength workout. I was finding the HCOTF program a tad overwhelming but I can always make time for 20 mins a day.
My goals for October are to keep up my exercise routine, keep eating in check (I’m talking to you, Halloween candy), and therefore hopefully lose 10 lbs.

I’m too tired to look up my official September goals. I didn’t meet any of my metrics, but it could have been a lot worse.
I think I’m not going to make any October goals - just do the best I can. Focus on physical therapy, foam rolling, meditation, sleep, and self care.

October is my least favorite month of the year.
Good news: The labs my dr ordered look great Bad news: I’ve somehow managed to lose 15lbs since my appt a year ago. I knew I’d lost some, but I thought it was closer to 5lb. The thing is, I’m actually at a pretty damn good weight for me. But hearing that comparison from a year ago made my heart sink (this isn’t a dr weighing me unnecessarily, or guilt tripping, or doing anything other than ask if the 15lb weight loss over the last year was intentional - I do have doctors’ offices that guilt trip me over weight, but this isn’t one of them).
Today: Did physical therapy exercises, foam rolled, and meditated. Self care is TENS unit, a couple of ice packs, and a few heating pads. I’m going to try to go to bed early tonight.

I am continuing to be terrible at drinking enough water, but otherwise September went very well! After cutting down alcohol and late-night sweets in August both H and I have lost about 10 lbs and feel so great!
I did meet my September goal of finishing the You Can Run program and continuing to add running workouts into my rotation at least twice a week.
For October I'd just like to maintain momentum and keep up the good new habits I've started. I have a big project starting up at work that will take me through the end of the year, so that's probably all I can manage.
Keep kicking ass, folks!

I have zero goals for this month besides get back into working out. September was a giant bust with that since I messed up my back at the end of August. It's fine now and I start PT next week. I did 30 minutes on the elliptical yesterday and today so I'm off to a good start.

senneth LT for the good news part and for at least one supportive medical office. Getting to bed at a healthy time is something I’m struggling with lately. I always appreciate you posting your self care routine because it gives me a push to make mine intentional too 💕 Edit to change wording

I’m going to join in. I weigh more than I ever have which is depressing. I thought for sure my thyroid was out of whack but it’s fine. I’ve been getting to the school early for pick up and walking for 30-40 minutes each day and doing some exercises at home. I really need to increase my water intake, focus on healthier meals, and start working out more. I may start walking around the neighborhood in the mornings after DH takes the kids to school and baby has breakfast.
I was always underweight until I had the twins then I was at normal weight. Now I’m 9 months PP and I keep gaining.

I kept with my Friday run habit that I started a couple of weeks ago. It was a really good one and I ran for 25 minutes straight for the first time in a long time.
For October my goals are to keep up the nutrition work I’ve been doing with the nutritionist. I have 3 weeks until my next session.
Also, I’d like to keep up my efforts to get back in running shape. I’d like to be consistently running a 5k distance by end of the month.

senneth LT for the good news part and for at least one supportive medical office. Getting to bed at a healthy time is something I’m struggling with lately. I always appreciate you posting your self care routine because it gives me a push to make mine intentional too 💕 Edit to change wording Well, my definition of self care is very broad I count everything from foam rolling to using my TENS unit to taking a walk to reading a book to embroidery to going to bed early to journaling to painting my nails… you get the idea. Focusing on self care definitely improves my quality of life. I don’t define it the same way as a lot of ppl on SM do, but it works for me - my definition is basically anything that makes me feel better physically or mentally. I’m glad you’re pushing to make yours intentional, too. I think self care is a very personal thing as far as what counts, but it’s important.

Add me to the “October already?!” Crew. I love October though, I wish I wasn’t so overwhelmed with work and school to enjoy it. I have to work on Halloween this year and I am so bummed. Speaking of work—I accepted a new position, which starts this month. Pay isn’t much different but I get more vacation time plus my short term disability (maternity leave) will be covered 100%! I’m hoping it will give me better work life balance.
Today was full body strength, Saturday will be burst training.
Goals for October: Keep chipping away at 250 boot camps Make more meals at home

I took a long stroller walk today. It was cooler but still very humid because it’s going to storm later, so I got a good sweat. Then while the twins ate lunch, I had a dance party with the 5yo which also made me pretty sweaty.
I have my COVID booster in a half hour so any further exercise for the weekend is TBD depending on the side effects.
