DD (6): Spirograph, Drawing Projector tracing thing that I haven’t researched yet, Wiggle Writer Pen, Forest animal figurines
DD (4): Gabby’s Dollhouse + character figures + the room sets that go with the dollhouse, Legos
Games for them both
Also have Highlights magazines and National Geographic Kids magazines on my list. They’ve really enjoyed these in the past.

We've been doing a lot of art during the pandemic. We have easels and pour paint kits coming and will probably get a bunch of white clothing for tie dying. I am stealing the tie dye idea!

I’m getting both of my boys their own iPods and wireless headphones, so that is the only gifts from us. I’m not sure if iPods will go on sale around thanksgiving or if I should just buy the now? Santa also brings one gift each, but I have absolutely no idea what that will be. Airpods usually go down some on black friday or around there so I am waiting. I hope I don't regret it Can you play the return game and get them at ‘regular’ price somewhere with a great return policy in early to mid November and then return them and buy elsewhere if you find them on sale closer to Christmas? I ended up inadvertently doing that last year when amazon dropped their price to $99 on cyber Monday and wouldn’t just give me the difference back.

It’s tough because the baby’s birthday is early December and the toddler’s birthday is in February, so I’m starting to run out of ideas. THE BABY IS GOING TO BE ONE ALREADY?????????????????

Did you get the Spirograph Junior or the regular one for your 4yo? I have this on my list too. I got the junior because I was worried that the regular would be too fiddly. We got the regular last year and it was too much for our then 5yo

talk to me about the Nintendo Switch - is a 5 year old to young for this? not too young Another question for you or anyone - do you think it’s different enough than a game console (PS4) or an iPad to play games on? I say yes but my husband thinks no. I also think I’d enjoy the switch whereas I don’t enjoy the PS4 or iPad games.

I just wish there more fun multi player games (like Mario kart or smash brothers).

OH MY GOD ITS SEPTEMBER! The title alone gives me anxiety i said this in the daily chat - but they are saying supply chain stuff is going to make things super delayed this year and everything is going to be low on stock Yes, I never buy Xmas presents before November but I've already started this year after reading multiple news stories about it.

Ugh, I am dreading this. I am on a super limited budget and I have no idea what to get the kids. I feel like they already have so much already. My mom buys them new toys every time they see her, which is generous, but really screws me for Christmas.
ETA: So far I have $200 via a Target gift card that was given to me by a friend. For two kids, DD is 3 and DS is 6.
DS is into minecraft, legos, and art. He has an ipad, and a switch he never uses. My mom buys him minecraft legos like once a month.
DD is into barbies, dolls, and make up. She has a barbie dream house, a play vanity, and a shit ton of babies.

DS (6) - nerf guns and target, 3 in 1 games table (air hockey, pool, table tennis) DD (8) - Real Littles stuff, squishies, silly scents pens, jewelry making kit, oil diffuser kit I’m thinking of getting one Nintendo Switch Lite for them to share. After the above, I am officially out of ideas. talk to me about the Nintendo Switch - is a 5 year old to young for this? My 6 year old deeply loves the Switch. He is a big Lego guy and he loves building video games in Mario Maker and different worlds in Minecraft. He plays some regular games too but the building is his favorite.

I’m trying to do more experiences/outdoor stuff because my house is too full of toys. We’ve done some gift purchases.
DS (6): book subscription, tickets to Hamilton next year DS (almost 3): book subscription, climbing gym We’re also getting them a nugget couch and one of those inflatable tents to share. And that’s all other than stocking stuffers.

The boys need new tablets so that will be part of Christmas (which I hate because I'm cringing at dropping that kind of cash on a single present like that). I think my mom is going to get them luggage. I want to find them a telescope to share. Other than that it will be lesser expensive items like clothes, accessories for the tablets like cases, headphones, etc, and a few small things. R has requested a rubix cube so they will probably get those in their stockings. I saw some cute learner chopsticks on amazon that I thought about for stocking staffers too. Ohh dd would love those chopsticks

We live that multiple gaming system life and yes the games are different enough that there is plenty to choose from that can’t be played on any other system. I enjoy the switch the most out of what we have but Mario in al his different adventures is my jam.

I got the junior because I was worried that the regular would be too fiddly. We got the regular last year and it was too much for our then 5yo Ohh that’s helpful! Mine just turned 6 so I will go with the Junior. We can always pass it down and upgrade her if it’s not the right fit for her. Thanks!

I also love that I can play the switch as a handheld if someone is using the TV instead of a one or the other. Plus Mario games on Nintendo

If anyone is looking for board game ideas for littles, my 4 and 6yo love this game. It’s easy enough that they can play on their own now that I helped them a few times and it’s collaborative so less whining about winning/losing. Gamewright Outfoxed! A Cooperative Whodunit Board Game for Kids 5+, Multi-colored, Standard, Model Number: 418 www.amazon.com/dp/B00UB7P0XY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_5VCTDQ611E8D0X90Y2FR

If anyone has a some super inside-track information about how to get an Xbox Series X for the actual $499 list price, I'm all ears. I've been keeping an eye on them for months, but they sell out within a minute or two of restocking and I'm just not that fast. They were LAST YEAR's hot item. I can't believe they are still so hard to find.
That is my only idea for my 13 year old. I love him, but not enough to spend $900 on this thing.
