Good morning. I'm exhausted. We had a very busy weekend. 3 soccer games. Got the basement playroom completed and the boys beds moved into the other room. Still have some things to do but I'm loving it. I'm at the store getting curtains and hangers. The boys officially need adult hangers.. sad.

Morning! Today was the first morning of mh taking Cadence to school. This apparently meant him getting up at 7, turning on all of the lights and the tv, then standing in the doorway of her room while she got dressed. I told him to just let her get ready and he said he didn't want her to be late. Dude, it's 7:03, school bell rings at 7:40, she's good. She stayed focused and actually got out the door at 7:15. I told her good job and she said not to get used to it because it probably wouldn't happen every morning. Hey, at least she's honest.

Morning.
It is picture day for M so this morning was fun. That kid hates wearing anything other than a t shirt so he wasn’t pleased when I pulled out a button down. He wore a polo shirt in the spring, so I wanted a different look. 🤷🏽♀️ he was in a mood.
M2 had a speech eval this AM, too, so it was a busy morning. They recommended services, but his issues are normal for his age. We will have to pay every visit if we do them privately, so I don’t know if it’s worth it with his issues being normal for his age. If it was a small fee, I wouldn’t mind, but $70 every appointment is a bit much. I know I can sign him up for eval through the public system but it will take forever. Decisions, decisions.

lahdeedah, oh that's hard! That's too bad going the public route takes so long, ours was so easy. Any chance your insurance covers it at all?

I had my annual this morning and then I picked a poke bowl for lunch. I can't wait to eat it.

Our last insurance covered it all. I may have to look into switching plans. I think open enrollment is next month.

Insurance is so frustrating lahdeedah. Especially since you can't just easily look at a plan and see how much different they are!

I got in the office super late this morning. Evie had a rheumatologist appointment then they wanted us to do bloodwork...1 hour and 45 minutes later, finally headed to drop her at school. And she freaked out during the blood work, so it was an exhausting morning. But at our next appointment, if everything continues as it has been, we will discuss reducing the amount of methotrexate she has to take.
It was a long weekend, we stopped by the new house late yesterday afternoon and went by the sales office because H needed to drop off a check...and were informed that we are getting hit with a 20k increase due to materials (garage doors, concrete, rebar, etc). We are trying to figure out if we can cut anything out to keep the final cost at a certain amount, but I'm so over this.

I'm on my last leg of the fiscal year but waiting to hear back from a vendor for my final purchase. Lola started 4 days a week daycare today and it is really nice to be alone again. I love her but she needs more attention than I am really able to give when I need to be working. Plus she will be nice and tired tonight. She didn't get enough exercise yesterday and was super annoying, chewing things she shouldn't, demand barking for treats, asking to go out but doing nothing but we can't just leave her out there due to the neighborhood skunk.
I'm going to start a birthday/holiday gift thread because I need ideas. I have 1 month and C doesn't have much he wants.

I thought the one I picked was decent, but apparently not after going to a few well visits and this. To be fair we don’t pay much monthly and we have an HSA contribution from Mh’s employer. I thought we wouldn’t use as much of the HSA, but we will probably use it all and that’s not including these speech visits if we do it. 😒

wedding, counting down the days until Friday. I'm just super uncomfortable and visiting the restroom way more than usual. After an unfortunate and embarrassing experience a week or so ago (I was at home, so that was at least lucky), I just don't trust my body. It is very uncool.

lahdeedah, it might be worthwhile to start the process through the school if it takes a while.

mwhip Woah $20k?? I don’t envy anyone building houses right now. I don’t think you will ever move or buy another house again after this is over. Lol

Hey. Back to the grind today. I addressed and sent out bridal shower invites. I ran out of stamps so we did have to go get them. The weather here is crazy. Today’s high is 86, and tomorrow is 89. It’s supposed to be fall, I just want to wear pants and not shave my legs! klong11 sorry for the tummy troubles. I hope you’re feeling better quickly. lahdeedah I would get him on the list to be evaluated through the state/school district. It might not be as bad as you’re expecting.

Lol This is our forever home...until MIL passes away and leaves us her property. Which I'm not a big fan of her house. And hopefully that isn't anytime soon to have to worry about it. But yeah, basically we can't get the basement partially finished like we had hoped. I pointed out to H that we are now paying significantly more for less house.

No, his nose was still running a lot this morning and the thought of it running inside of a mask was too gross to imagine. MH is still working from home so he just stayed with him and watched Paw Patrol all day. We got an email from school saying if your child is home with only a runny nose, they can come to school so I’m thinking we were not the only ones home today. He has made it to 6 days of school this month. They were the most expensive 6 days ever. He was much better tonight so fingers crossed he makes it in tomorrow. DS1 asked if I baked an apple pie today. I was like, no I was working. He told me he misses when I just stayed home and baked pies all day. I think I miss it too.

Hi i worked from home today. Very long day tomorrow. It’s the last week do the fiscal so everything is intense. I have a group project again this week plus create my own PowerPoint to do. We have our RISE festival this Saturday and C didn’t want a hotel room so an early morning and late evening. Just a lot going on this week.
