Today was pretty good! The rugs were delivered yesterday, and I am so happy with them! IKEA out here actually has some really nice quality Persian rugs. I'm pleased with our living room splurge - it's soft, handmade and pretty! DH made a delicious Chinese dinner (qin jiao niu rou = green pepper beef with rice). It was awesome. I only eat beef like a handful of times each year, and i think the baby really, really liked it. He went full throttle kicking while I was eating and shortly thereafter. I also had a good check up with the doctor, and he confirmed no need to return to strict bedrest. Wohoo!  |

Taitai glad the doctors check went well! I had a crazy dream I was told I would be delivering baby early and wouldn't be able to start the school year in 3 weeks. So naturally I've been awake since like 4am thinking about all that needs to get done on the off chance something crazy like that would happen. DD decided she should wake up at 5am for whatever reason so now we're heading into my classroom and then home for naps. For now, we both seem to have lots of energy though I'm sure we'll crash closer to lunch.

I'm here for my glucose test. I went to the bathroom when I got here and as I was washing my hands I realized I forgot to leave a sample. WTF brain. I'm sure I'll need to go again while I'm here. Sigh.

My stomach is feeling off this morning. I was thisclose to taking a personal day today, but I'm trying so hard to save most of my time for maternity leave. I have tons to keep me busy so hopefully burying myself in work will take my mind off of not feeling well.

Taitai Yay for you! britt Congrats cougarette Good luck! Work was super busy yesterday and I was getting up out of my chair for what seemed like every 2 minutes or standing most of the day. Then my old pregnant body went to a concert. I'm so tired today and glad I took the day off work to recover. I have a concert I'm supposed to go to at the end of August. I'm going to sell the tickets, I'm so tired. DD is at daycare and I'm going back to sleep.

Taking DD to daycare then I'll be going to the chiro so he can adjust my hips again. I'm almost done sorting/pricing all of DD's clothes to sell at a JBF sale in September. I'm writing them down and then I'll make the tags in their system. The only bummer is that it's fall/winter only so I can't sell everything. Thankfully she doesn't have much summer stuff that will have to wait until spring.

MFM appointment was great. Baby looks good and thyroid is acting right.
I did not sleep last night. From 1am-3:30am I watched episodes of The Good Place and it was great. Then I found myself in comment sections of Facebook articles from mommy blogs. Not where I need to be in the middle of the night.

Tapa is so disorienting. I'm shocked people prefer it to mobile. I much prefer Tapatalk. Have you tried adjusting any settings? I like night reading mode. You can turn on/off photo preview and content preview - I prefer them both turned off. |

DD and I napped hard! She now wants to play outside at her water table so bad (and I just want to melt) so H is going to take her out for a little bit while I figure out dinner and pull out some of the boxes with the baby stuff from the basement. I may not do anything with it yet but that's the only nesting and organization urge I've had lately!

It was a beautiful morning, so DS and I went on our daily walk and stopped by the park for a while. There were two other toddlers around his age there, so he had a great time playing with them (he's a social butterfly). We made it back home just in time for it to start raining. Now he's napping and I'm enjoying some quiet snacking time.

blackmamba, haha my mom brought DH and me brownies yesterday, then found out I had my glucose test. She apologized for the timing but I told her no - it is perfect because I can eat my brownie before getting the results back haha.

Had my mmeeting with the dietician this afternoon. She wants me to eat more carbs. My numbers are fine, but she wants to be sure I don't end up losing weight.
DD has been a terror this evening. Is it bedtime yet?

We had a big storm come through that caused a construction tarp to collapse on a bridge, which is one of the major routes around here. Oh and it was rush hour.
DH got stuck in the traffic. After about 2 hours they started turning people around. There was video on the news of 18-wheelers going in reverse back down the bridge! I wondered how they were going to get them turned around.
Anyway, he left around 4:30 and still isn't home. He's going to stop somewhere to eat and try to wait out the traffic.
