OMG A BABY CHER! I am so beyond thrilled. I've been thinking of you a lot and wondering how it has been going but of course didn't want to ask because its also none of my business. But I am so so excited for you and I am wishing you an uneventful and healthy 9 months.

One of my little second cousins has the name Sloane and I love it. Also a big fan of Brooke (which was almost my name).
I do think it's a good idea to think of how the name is perceived as an adult. I do love the name Daisy, but it seems slightly less mature than a Sloane or Serena.
Overall though I think you can't miss with names. Kids grow into their names.

Congratulations, Cher! So excited for you and your family! I always wanted a Georgia nn GiGi. Such a cute nickname. My boys don't have nicknames but for my girl I was allll about a cute nickname ( Lou/LouLou, though hers is spelled slightly different because of her long name).

H and I were so far apart on girl names too. He only seemed to like ones that were popular when we were kids in the 80s/90s.
I work with both a summer and a daisy and they are both wonderful people so I like those names a lot.
The name I loved that H was so adamantly against was Morgan. But that seems more your H’s style than yours.
Names that were also on my list: Victoria (nn Tori or just full name Tori) Alison (nn Ally) Sloane Shea (although definitely questionable in your area due to the stadium)
Names that I’ve like on DS’s peers/my friends kids:
Isla Cami (usually a nn) Kendall
ETA: I also love the name April but I’ve never decided if it’s weird of your not born in the month and obvi that wouldn’t work with your likely mn.

What about other flower names? Violet, Lily? Still summery and friendly, but with maybe more of an edge? My grandma's name was Lillie, but my cousin used it before I could, so I was going to compromise with Lillian. Alas, no daughter for me!

Well this is the best news ever! Congratulations!!!
I was really hoping SO would go for Daisy when I was pregnant but no dice (not that it matters)
Sabrina seems like it may be a mix of both your styles. NN Bri maybe Autumn was another one of my favorites I love Cecelia no Cece Sage (this doesn’t match either of your styles I just love it so much lol) Molly Marlow Margot Paige (this one feels very girl next door you can have a beer with to me) Ophelia nn Fi Lucy Finley Willa

So if whoever needs to be lectured on using the correct words about her kid's mask then apply that same thinking to my pedi said post.
Thanks.

So so many heartfelt congratulations!
I adore the name Daisy. When I was younger and dumber I named my first dog that and then I could never use it on a baby.
I’ll throw out Beatrice nn Bea/Birdie/Betty/Betsy just because I still love it so much. And I’m pretttty sure the name wasn’t what caused the terror that is my DD2. Almost positive.

I like J names as middles also because they make for good nicknames. SD is first name A middle name J and she often goes by AJ. I love it. CJ is cute. Maybe not a B name tho.
