I dropped the kids off for their first day of summer camp. The girls have never been in school/daycare/etc. so this will be an interesting week. I think I was more upset than they were.
I'm on my second cup of coffee and just finished the oatmeal they didn't finish from breakfast.

On my second cup.
8 am meeting done.
I need to wrap up 3 training presentations, clean the dining room/office, and get laundry done.
Haven’t even thought about breakfast yet. I’ll probably make a protein shake before my 9am.

I had a quick weekend with lots of errands, I barely feel like I had a weekend at all. Boo. I’ve got my travel mug of drip coffee with hazelnut creamer. It’s M’s last week of camp, then she’s off to second grade next Wednesday. School shopping was a whole ordeal and $$$. Like, a ream of card stock is not cheap.

We quite a weekend. Saturday was busy but good. L got a glasses prescription to hopefully help with some crossing we've noticed. Need to find the time to go get her fitted. Yesterday our entire household was grouchy so it was a shit storm.
The big kids started Safety Town this week so they have the week off from summer camp. Had to set alarms in my phone so I don't forget to pick them up at noon. They did really well at drop off so I'm hoping they're still having a good time.
And the baby is 4 months old today, which is wild. We moved the big kids into their new bedroom this weekend so he will hopefully be in his own nursery later this week.

I had a cup of half caff, 3 oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, and a kiwi for breakfast. We're at the playground right now, making the most of these cooler mornings.
At the playground yesterday we met a little boy who just moved into a house on our street, and who will be starting K with L this September. His grandma had brought him to the playground while his parents were meeting with their realtor to take possession of the house. We're going to bring some flowers to them one day this week. I'm excited that they could be potential friends with us lol, but at the very least it would be nice for our boys to play together a few times before school starts.

9am and the coffee is gone already. Everyone is snacking for breakfast 🤷. BUT we're working on incorporating our Spanish phrases, so that's fun

Just now on my first cup of coffee. At the office. It’s 64 in here today and I’m freezing to death. Have a ton of paperwork to do today.

This last weekend was our first weekend in 6 weeks where we haven't had houseguests or something major planned. It was nice to just chill a bit.
Now I'm at work struggling with a handful of small things that are combining to make big problems. Basically we're just really backlogged with hot sauces that we've made/bottled, but for one reason or another can't get finished (labeling or otherwise) so we can't bill for them. And customers want their product. And we need the money!
I've finally hired all the people that I need, but now I need to hire pepper preppers and I'm nervous that no one is going to want a seasonal job in this job market. And we're not even in our busy season yet. It's making me nervous for the holidays.

ooh I remember going to Safety Town when I was their age! Me, too! I loved Safety Town! But I was also the kid that refused to ride the school bus because it didn't have seatbelts. Real square I was (am), ha!

Cleaned 3 bathroom drawers.
I cannot wait until the kids have their own dedicated bathroom.

Coffee with hazelnut creamer. I'm on my 3rd and finally feeling awake. W had some tummy problems and was very unhappy about them for most of the night. I was supposed to go shopping with my mom today but, well, that's not happening. We're going to go to the museum here in town on Wednesday though. I've never been and I've heard it's pretty fun for younger kids as well as informative for the older crowd. I never heard back about the house, unfortunately, and every other house that we've emailed about recently the reply has been that they already have an accepted offer. I'm getting kind of sick of it, and feeling like the world is trying to tell us to just sit tight and then move to the property when starlink is available (there's basically no other option for internet out there, and we need internet for the day to day)

It definitely is. Makes me wish I knew before what I know now about saving money so we could have been ready before. Oh well, hindsight is 20/20, right? =/

I had several cups of hot coffee, many hours ago. We had friends in town this weekend and today was their last day here. It was really fantastic to spend time with them, just all in all a great weekend. We spent the morning at the beach and the afternoon at the pool.

Its Tuesday? I didn't work yesterday. I'm about to have cup #2 which will be iced. Zoey has learned to bark and is barking at everything that moves out the window. Halp.

The olympics took me on an emotional roller coaster that I was not prepared for this morning! I am many cups of coffee in.
We are supposed to have an A/C repair technician coming today. Finally!

You can try going over, calmly acknowledging whatever she sees "yup. I see that person. Thank you" and then excitedly moving away and calling her, away from the window, to another room and giving her a treat (essentially for moving away from the trigger). But she shouldn't be given a choice to move away, so grab her collar and walk her away with you if needed.

Obviously rugger has great suggestions to work on it now but just wanted to say that Francis was a super barker as a puppy - I had to keep the blinds closed on the windows, but literally never barks now. The neighbor dogs bark all day and he just looks at them like their crazy.

Home prices are silly.
Our neighborhood has one for sale for $400k. 3bedroom 2 bath, no basement storage, 2 car garage, 1/3 acre. And backs into a gas station….
I just saw the owners post on facebook marketplace to get a bite. It’s been on the market for 22 days.
In this market if you haven’t sold, maybe you need to reduce your price. It also sold for 252k in 2006.
This would be a down grade for us other than the lot size and garage.
And you can’t pay me to buy a home behind a gas station on a busy corner.

I have a pounding headache.
For the record, no house in our neighborhood is priced that high when it is not on the lake front.
We have one $5k lower with gorgeous landscaping, screened in porch, and about 800 more sq footage with the same amount of land. I don’t know what they are smoking over on that street but it must be good.
I need more coffee.

I’ve been interested in some of the grove products. Why must they insist on you setting up a subscription to order things?!?
