I got a garmin strap and heart rate monitor for Christmas. It stopped working about 3 months ago, and they replaced it. It just stopped again this week. I’ll be doing a 45 minute hiit and hills run and it will say my heart rate is in the 60s. Does anyone have any other recommendations?

I've been using Garmin's brand chest straps for a decade now and never had an issue. Check where the monitor clips on too if there's corrosion you can use rubbing alcohol to clean it which typically helps. If you're doing a HIIT and hills run I'm going to assume that means your doing a peloton run. If that's the case you might look into a Scosche Rhythm+ arm band. It's compatible with both Garmin and peloton and I typically have been using that more often than not since I'm chained to my basement gym 99% of the time doing peloton. You'll get the HR reading on both your Garmin watch and your peloton account, which is nice.

Cleaning it worked! Thank you. I wash the strap once a week but has never thought to clean the connectors.
