Im ok. Potty training is putting me over the edge. We really cracked down the past week and have him in underwear. He is having 2-3 accidents a day which isnt terrible.
My main struggle is he wont tellme he has to pee. Im just taking him every 45minutes to an hour. He refuses to tellme. I need him trained by August for soccer and PreK. Any tips???
My brother just found out they are having a boy and a girl. So thats exciting. Shes 20 weeks so halfway there.

This year is going fast! I’m in the double edged sword of being a SAHM over summer, it’s great but also miserable. My kids spend half their days bickering.
We’ve been doing swim lessons, which L is absolutely loving! Next week I’m taking the kids on our first trip since Feb 2020, to go visit my parents. We’re going to MIL’s house in August too. She lives by the beach in NC so that’s our summer beach trip.
L has been riding her bike around our block a ton and I think she’s close to losing the training wheels soon. She goes soo fast! I can’t even with her getting so “big”.

DD and DS are getting along better at times DS is having a language explosion and they are cooperating more playing together and giving me a breather. Still plenty of fighting though
No vacations this year at all. Just spending all my time and money remodeling my house.
The public school hasn’t announced the preschool schedule for the fall. I do not know what I am going to do. Daycare/preschool split days will stink for me. Will It also Be stressful for her ?
Bed time is improving here. I just had to accept that bedtime is later than I want it to be and lean into what time they are going to sleep. 9pm- I don’t feel like I’m doing the right thing with that time. But it’s what happens if I fight it or not. . I’ve got them sleeping in their own rooms in their own beds and having a calm consistent bedtime routine

I recently attended a sleep issues workshop and one thing I noted to usually be true with N is that the expert lady said kids need 6 hours between nap and bedtime. So for us, going to bed at 8 means he has to wake up before 2p or it’s a disaster.

We went to WV for the Fourth of July. The kids seemed to have a lot of fun. We are still working on getting back on track as everyone seems a little jet lagged and whiny.
Our school system is now offering full day pre-k. They don’t offer transportation, but it’s 6 hours with staggered start times. I’ll have her in after care there, but I think I’ll just adjust my start/end time to work with their school schedule.
R is super into doing puzzles. I’ve got way too many 24 piece puzzles now (luckily, the dollar store has a good variety). Hopefully, she still likes puzzles in a month because I got her some for her birthday.
We put the kids to bed at 7ish. T reads in bed. R will keep coming out of her room. We are trying to get her to stay the fuck in her room and tell her we don’t care what she does, just stay in there. She does still nap at daycare, but even on the weekends she wants to keep coming out to tell me something or to give me a hug/kiss. It’s like, we are done with you kid. And, they get up between 6-6:30.

At home I can’t get him to nap anymore but occasionally on active days he crashes at 4 or 5. Those days bed time is harder. I’d rather he didn’t nap.
