My mom, sisters, and I are taking a month-long Europe/UK/IRE trip in '25. I already have 7 lists for it. 🙃🙃🙃 I wish Portugal were going to be one of the destinations, but my mom is setting the itinerary as her retirement gift to herself. Starting in Italy (Rome, Florence, Venice, Milan), France (Paris w/day trips to Versailles and Giverney), London, Scotland (Edinburgh, Inverness, Isle of Skye), finishing in Ireland (tbd where). It's sooo much to do/ see and it's my favorite daydream to think about all the places we'll go. It's going to take me all 4 yrs between now and then just to figure out what and how to pack. Even in summer, I'm guessing Rome and the Highlands are very different climates.

Kornacki is commentating on the Olympics, if anyone is going through withdrawl. He's talking Gymnastic scores and numbers.

Opinions needed: DD2 will be turning 3 while we are on vacation. Would you bring 2 or 3 small gifts for her to open on her birthday?

Ls2012 - while in Edinburgh, if you're into fancy dinners, make sure you dine at The Witchery. Incredible atmosphere, incredible food.

My dog would always whine when I packed bags and couldn’t settle himself, even though I never made it a deal.
I’m not a big checklist person, but for groceries and packing, I make check lists in notes that live on my phone and get reused. Early on, if I forgot something, it went on the list. I share those lists with H. We also have a note for vehicle tire pressure, so we can see if a tire becomes an issue. Basically the things that cause me most stress and must be taken care of are in a Note.

Y'all, the Innocence Files on Netflix is AMAZING. It highlights a bunch of Innocence Project cases. I'm enthralled. Ok seriously fuck mike west. I really wish I believed in hell.

DS4 (3.5yo) has discovered that he can log into his brothers’ accounts on his fire tablet to extend his time for games. Anyone know how to outsmart this turd? do they share a tablet? Or does your 3.5yo have his own tablet? They each have their own kids fire tablet, but all the profiles are loaded onto all of them because they are all linked to my parent account.

Mine used to do the switch profile thing on their fire tablets too. If you go into parental controls on the individual tablet you should be able to set a time limit on each profile for that specific tablet. I just set the 2nd profile to like 15 minutes. Oh, I will look around in his. It seems like every change to time limits I make is across the profile(s) and not the tablet.

Can someone help out this digital music newbie? I’m trying to stream or buy the mp3 of an album on Amazon, but it says streaming/digital music not available for purchase on this device (my phone).

Basically the things that cause me most stress and must be taken care of are in a Note. This is what I do too. I just copy and text parts of my master list to H to take care of - he’s usually in charge of packing DS’s suitcase and outdoor gear and he knows if he forgets something on the list, he’ll hear about it. My travel routine is to clean and do laundry 2 days before, then pack the day before. As long as I use my lists, it works out very well.

Thank the gods for living next to the beach and being able to wait until evening, when people are mostly cleared out, to go enjoy the sand and water. Some (mostly) quiet moments of floating under the darkening sky was exactly what I needed today. Relaxing, and a reminder of the things I take for granted but am extremely grateful to have in my life.
And I found a hag stone. I'm feeling pretty fortunate tonight.

Have you guys heard about Ecosia? I researched it a bit and it genuinely seems like a good search engine to use. The revenue they get form ads/clicks goes into financing the planting of trees (and not in monoculture tree farms). It is pretty cool and is a free plugin on chrome, so easy to use.

Anybody watching Rutherford Falls on Peacock? I binged it and really enjoyed it.
The cast is wildly diverse. It's very smartly written and touches on a number of relevant issues. And Ed Helms is once again the perfect spoiled, sort of clueless rich kid.

jkjacqTechnical communication Human Resources management Corporate education Sociology So do you need to make a living with this degree? Have you looked at jobs with that degree? Do they pay differing amounts? Or differnt kinds of benefits usually? Can you see yourself doing it every day? Does one or more of them seem more interesting? Does one or more of them have less or more class requirements that will make degree cost more?
