Um, is there a reason for this? Breastfeeding, and living in a hot, dry climate. Given those variables, I’ve found that my body feels best when my water intake is around that level. Setting a goal and tracking it helps me remember to listen to my body. Make sure you are watching your pee color too. It shouldn't be clear.

willow, I've had a badly injured/not sure if broken finger before, and I know how much we don't realize how one finger can limit us! I'm glad you're mostly ok, just take it easy and don't rush anything with healing. I broke a knuckle in college. It's a bitch having a busted finger.

We are back from vacation, got home about 45 minutes ago (much later than intended). Today was a lot of food and sitting, but we were very active the other days so I'm feeling okay about it. We ate out for every meal so I'm looking forward to salads and homemade meals this weekend.

PandaWatch one of my favorite lunches is crockpot burrito bowls. It's just chicken breasts and a jar of salsa cooked on low for about 6 hours, then shred the chicken. It's so delicious and flavorful, I can eat it just like that. But I usually add corn and black beans after shreadding and leave it on the keep warm setting for 30 min or so. When you pack it in containers you could add some rice on the bottom or pack some lettuce or toppings separately since it will get reheated.

I do something similar in the instantpot that has rice in it. It's good and easy. I know what I'm having next week. Well if it fits my numbers. Damn it. Need to wait for those.

RIP to my quads. They died so hard I couldn't finish my reverse hypers (quads are not used in that exercise).
Fucking front squats and split squats.

I made a batch last August the first week my kid started elementary school. I still remember how glorious it felt to sit outside daily with my chicken/rice/cheese/salsa lunch with a side of Fritos and sour cream and eat *in silence* every delicious bite while it was still hot. Mmmmm

Went 2.25 miles on the treadmill today. I jogged a short bit in the middle but for the first time have no idea how long (time or distance) I jogged. I just did it for a bit and then resumed walking.
Water needs to improve tomorrow, especially as I’m craving allll the salty and sweet things

Hey friends! I just got back from a week at the lake with H's family, and I haven't caught up with the thread at all so forgive me.
I did keep up with exercise while we were on vacation. H's family is pretty fit, so while we're at the lake every year most of them run in the mornings. And we scoff while drinking our coffee.
But this year, since we have been riding pretty consistently, we joined the runners and we ran between 2 and 4 miles every day the whole week, doing 5 minute intervals of walking and running. At some altitude, I'm not sure how high exactly.
Of course our daily run was nothing compared to the amount of exercise DS1 got every day, between swimming, inner tubing, jet skiing, wakeboarding, and general grab-assing with cousins. I didn't do any of that stuff. I did float in the lake with a big squishy noodle every day though, because it was 100 degrees.
Anyway glad to be back! REALLY glad to be back for a three-day weekend to help re-acclimate to normalcy.

willow Sorry about your accident. I’m glad it was just a broken finger but fingers are pretty important so I’m sure it’s an accumulation of annoying moments all day every time you need to use it. Welcome bunnyfungo!

Week 7 day 2 of you can run program while racing the radar...at 6 am. Then followed up with 2 something mile walk with the run group, in the rain. 4.26 wet miles done.
Hurricane minor prep done as well. Batteries, water, canned soup, bread and craft projects bought. If we loose power, kids will be entertained.

It has been a busy week and I didn’t get any exercise Thursday or Friday. I’m hoping to get a 5 mile run in today before it gets too hot. We have plans for a 10 mile round trip family bike ride to downtown for a late lunch. Or maybe we will just have an afternoon at the pool.
Wednesday I head to Vegas with my 11 year old so I want to get plenty of workouts done between now and then.

One of the most important parts of hurricane prep right there! God I hate this time of year with the constant hurricane threats. The last few years have really broken me weather wise. I hope Elsa isn't too bad for you guys!

Thanks guys. Per todays news, we should be good. Probably a tropical storm by Tuesday. So maybe no power for a short period of time. I'm not too concerned but I understand how this Rollercoaster works, lol.

It’s a rainy Saturday here. P and I went to the farmers market and got bagels. I have some errands to run, but it will be a pretty lazy day. I’ll get in some sort of ride later. Maybe a barre or core session too.

Happy Saturday!
I did my long run of the week (using the Couch to 10K app) and got in a very slow and sweaty 3.42 miles. I had to walk a bit more than I would have liked but it is so humid out.
Glad it’s done and I have a rest day coming tomorrow.
I did a 10-min lower body stretch with Robin after.

The weather is gorgeous here and I took the dog on a 1.5 mile walk. I could’ve gone longer, but she was panting. I might hop on the treadmill or rowing machine later.
Eating is going well:
B: avocado and tomatoes on whole wheat English muffin, smoothie with Greek yogurt, and coffee L: Market salad from CFA
Getting hungry for a snack now. Need to drink more water. I’m only at 40 ounces.

I will do my best to check in here regularly, but I don't know if I'll be able to keep up with how fast this thread goes.
I worked out today for the first time since March and I am recommitting to my health because of some big things coming up for me. I will be making my lunches this week and returning to the gym at work for the first time since last March, and I'm very excited about that!

I finally had a chance to install the swivel mount for my peloton monitor today, and I love it! I did a 20 minute Cody ride followed by a 10 minute full body work out, and was able to continue my stack right through the bike. It definitely will motivate me to devote more time to strength.
I was exhausted though, and the workout totally wiped me out. I rarely feel completely depleted of energy after a ride and strength workout, but I did today. Luckily the rest of the day will be low-key.

Yesterday was a 500 rep body weight conditioning challenge (my favorite!). Today was full body strength. Had some new exercises that were fun.
Does anyone have a good alternative to lunges? I get left hip pain with any sort of unilateral exercises (lunges, box step ups). Usually I do some squats but I’m looking for another idea.

Hello! Happy Saturday!
It’s rainy and gloomy here which matches my mood perfectly. DD is driving me insane today so I escaped with a longer workout.
30 minute John Florence rock ride with Leanne. Great playlist but I didn’t realize John Florence is s surfer and the ride was about him. I lost interest quickly but pushed through.
30 minute country barre with Hannah. Loved! There is an arms section, core, standing glutes, and then lots of moves from her latest 10 minute barre at the end. My glutes are on fire. Highly recommend if you like the barre classes.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend!
