Didn't set a June goal bc I knew I wouldn't meet it; we were oot a full week. I'm pleased with the month's calorie burn and have set my July goal. MWF body pump + 35 min cardio. T/Th cardio + abs. 5 days/week is a little ambitious but I think I can do it this month.
Great cardio workout this AM and I'm going to make a concentrated effort to add a 5min min ab workout after; I do cardio only on T/Th. I typically only do abs MWF when I take my body pump class. If anyone has a good 5 min ab routine, video I would love to know about it. B- sprouted bread with an egg and some berries. ETA- I also had some sausage gravy left over than I did not want to see go to waste. It was damn good and I'll try not to think about the calories. L- left over ramen from a local place. D- idk. Maybe happy hour with dh. ETA- I probably shouldn't post meals when I eat like this lol.

I'm bloated as fuck and I think this is part of my issue too. It's mainly the pre-made protein drinks because whey is a jerk to me, and that's what's in all the premade stuff. Back to my powder. I found a decent plant based one called Owyn. I switched to it about a month ago and don’t have any bloating issues on it. It’s been a relief! I have a pea/soy blend I use, just #lazy.

I can’t believe it’s already July! I weighed myself this morning and am up 1lb, but considering everything else, I am happy with that!
This month I want to focus on increasing my water intake, get back to consistent exercise and add in some strength classes. Losing weight would be a definite bonus.

I can't recall my June goals verbatim (and too lazy to look them up) but I'm pretty sure they included finishing the 5k portion of my Couch to 10K program (first 8 weeks) which I did and to get back more consistent, which I did towards the later part of the month. I'm sure there was something about healthier eating and hahahahahahaha sighhhhh.
Anyway, my goals for July are:
1 - Do 5/6 workouts each week 2 - Continue to work through the Peloton Beginner Strength (a reset for me since I had slacked on strength of late) and You Can Run programs 3 - Weave in the remaining Couch to 10k workouts as my 3rd/long run of the week 4 - Cook more vs eating out 5 - Focus on inclusion of healthier choices vs exclusion 6 - Swap out at least 1 of my 2 sodas a day with water 7 - Get back to doing sleep or other calming meditations before bed

I took a rest day yesterday as I had a work outing that did involve some activity (hitting golf balls at a driving range).
Today, I did D2 of W1 of the You Can Run challenge on the tread as it was pouring outside and will be much of the day.
It was a walk + run with Jess K (4/23/21), who was just the peppy cheerleader I needed this morning. I did a 5 min stretch with Leanne afterwards.

I'm off today so there won't be as many steps. That's the best part of working, all the walking I do lol.
B: kashi crunch w/milk and blueberries, coffee w/milk and splenda L: chopped salad kit w/half dressing packet and tuna D: 2 slices frozen pizza dipped in ranch, veggies S: fruit, maybe peanut butter pretzels
E: 30 minutes elliptical
C/p from June thread
Didn't end up needing any pretzels in between lunch and dinner 👍

The first 3 weeks of June was way too much sugary junk. I'm on my second week of only having one treat a day except for Saturdays. This week Sunday will be another 'cheat' day. My treat is a single serve bag of mini cookies in my work lunch. It's keeping me satisfied-ish. My weight is down 2.7lbs in less than 2 weeks. That slow downward trend is what I'm after. Workouts are good and I'm keeping up with them.
July goals: -continue no alcohol. 8 weeks tomorrow! -keep up the elliptical at least 3 times per week -keep up the decreased sugar/treats at least 2 more weeks

Hi, happy July! Happy with my water intake in June. Meal planning and prep is something I really need to work on this month though. I weighed myself for the first time in weeks and I've lost eight pounds overall since April. The scale is moving sloowwww, but I've also lost 3in on my waist and 2in on my hips in that time. So, even though I had 3-4 fewer active days in June than in May, the pace is working for me.
I'm going to finish the first week of the beginner strength program today.
Then we have an 18m well visit. Toddler at the pediatrician is a workout in itself, right?

No idea what I set out to do in June, either way it was a middle of the road month - lots of activity, but some vacation and fun mixed in.
I started off July with 4 miles (20 minutes RK Hip Hop Run and 20 minutes Matty's newest outdoor intervals), which was a great beginning to my morning. Not sure what else I have planned for today, but I do have to go in to the office in person for a meeting, so I guess I'll need to look presentable at some point, and not still be wearing the clothes I ran in.

I did decent on my June goals: Water has been more intentional (with subsequent decrease in coffee intake) I have been logging and did some meditation per my therapist. There are times a guided meditation sounds really lovely now
I didn’t walk 4x weekly but I did go for mostly walks with just an occasional jog. Go me!
July goals: Walk/jog 30 miles Increase mindfulness/meditation/self care leading up to this period (should be over the next 3 days or so) Continue daily PT exercises
There is a chance we will be starting the process of moving out of state so if that happens, not to get derailed by it 😬😬

So far today, I’ve taken the dog on two walks totaling about 1.5 miles, and did 15 mins on the rowing machine.
Happy with my eating: B: two eggs, whole wheat English muffin, coffee with half and half L: pork gyoza and edamame S: Skinny Pop popcorn and a cheese stick
I need to step up the water. I’ve only had about 20 oz.

I’ve decided the crappy sleep coupled with heat is my issue this week but mainly the heat. I am getting really annoyed during my workouts this week and yesterday I realized that I was fine on the bike with the fan trained on me but the moment I decided that a short bodyweight HIIT workout was a good idea and proceeded to flop around all over the place I was no longer OK. I instantly got annoyed and wanted to quit. I’m sure my quickness to get annoyed has to do with my sleep this week. Normal times I’m OK-ish in the heat.
I did 2 rides on the bike yesterday, a 15 HIIT and a 10 min low impact then did a 10 min bodyweight HIIT. I opted out of the run since it was over 100* when I got home. No thanks.

The dog and I got a fast 2.5 mile walk in before the storms rolled in. She’s sound asleep on the couch while the kids and I are watching the rain and wind.

My goal for June was to increase my running, which I did. I'm not doing the 5K I wanted to do because I'm just not as far along as I'd like to be. I'll be keeping my eye on other races.
July goal is to keep on with more running and increasing the amount of time I spend running. I also want to make it outside for an afternoon/lunch walk 3x a week. I'd love to do every work day, but I know the weather and my work schedule won't cooperate for that.
30 minute beginner's progression run with Becs this morning. This was the most running I've done in one go in a long time. I took a 1 minute walk break around the 20 minute mark just to see how things were feeling. They were feeling fine then, but I am a bit sore now. I'll be doing some stretching and foam rolling on it tonight. I'm hopeful that my ankle is just cranky today from the increase of activity and it's not back down the injury road.

abs becausewhy dairy caused issues (for baby) while nursing so I started to phase out many years ago. When I was done nursing, and tried dairy again I had big time bloat, gas and nausea. Such a bummer. I’m able to tolerate a few things now through trial & error. I’ve found some good substitutes, stores carry so many more products these days. 8.5 miles biked, going to do arms & stretching next. We are going away on vacation for 12 days this month so just trying to focus on working out the days we are home.

I should try dairy free but I love cheese and ice cream so much. I know it gives me trouble though. Mostly gas and cramping.

Race month! Finally! My half is in 2.5 weeks so I am on my last few training runs and then tapering. I'm really looking forward to it.
Right after my race I'll transition to marathon training so my main goal this month is to settle on a strength schedule that'll work with my training plan. I'll definitely scale back a little from doing (almost) all of the HCOTF calendar, but I'm in a good groove so don't want to pull back there too much.

I can’t deal with the heat at all. I will never be able to go to a gym ever again because I’ve gotten too used to working out with a stand fan pointed straight at me while the ceiling fan is also on. It’s ridiculous but makes my workouts so much more productive! Summer really zaps my energy.

Oh, hi July.
I want to keep up my 5x a week workouts on the bike and continue with arms and at least some barre per week. Keep doing WW, hopefully down another 8ish lbs this month? We'll see.

Also, workout today: 30 minute Motown ride with Sam Yo (shoutout to whoever recommended that--such a great playlist) Cody's 20 minute Latin ride looked fun, so I started it after and got too tired halfway through to finish!

Since I accidentally bumped the June thread I will go ahead and bump this one back to the top.
Did a 30 minute hip focus flow. Every time I sit my hips get crazy tight and it takes a minute of standing and walking to get them loosened back up. I'm like an old lady. You'd think I had never run before today. My gosh.
Sorry hips.
