Does anyone know if an app like this exists? I like treadmill workouts but I'd like a timer that cycles along the workout. So if the workouts is 2 min @ 6.0, 1 min @ 4.5, 2.5 min @ 6.0, etc a timer would automatically set for 2, then 1, then 2.5 Depending on if you use a workout watch or not you can likely build the workout right now there and it will alert you to interval changes. I can build custom workouts on my Garmin and it's really great.

I ran another 5k this morning because I couldn't help myself, but dc2london, you'll be proud to know that I did add in some weights after. I'm also tracking and weighing everything I put into my face this week to see if anything changes. Intuitive eating just might not be for me.

How's everyone doing?
I worked out every day this week, which is a feat considering I fell down my garage steps on Wednesday night and jacked up my ring toe. I had to wear some loose flats to the gym today which looked cray but I still got some good cardio and weights in, and I wore flip flops on my home stationary bike yesterday lol.
I've been finding it motivating trying to close all of my rings on my apple watch. And it pisses my H off because he moves around all day, but it doesn't count as exercise, lol.
My diet has been pretty on point, too. I've been eating some more calories (truthfully I find this difficult without eating carbs) but I've been sticking with >20 carbs a day. I've lost like 2 lbs which is really negligible, but I was nice seeing a 7 instead of a 9 at the end of the scale. I've also really upped my protein and lowered my fats because it was really aggravating my gallbladder (I have gallstones and it's really a matter of time before I need to have it removed).
Anyone else have a win this week?

My exercise bike has mysteriously died. Maybe it knows I’ve been obsessing over the Ergatta rower and is giving me a hint 😛
But I went for a run instead. I’ve done C25K a few times and normally have to start entirely from scratch, but biking every other day actually has me in decent shape! I don’t know why I’m surprised by this.
I’m happy with myself because I have a head cold, but I didn’t use it as an excuse. Then my bike didn’t work, but I didn’t use that as an excuse either. I’m still using the Lose it! app for tracking calories. My current philosophy is that if I go over, I go over. But at least I’m being mindful, it helps a lot with boredom eating.

As silly as it may seem, getting awards and closing rings on my Apple Watch is one of my biggest motivators. And the rowers are made in my home state, so support local and all that 😁

Stationary bike muscles and jogging muscles are not the same muscles. My thighs are NOT digging stairs of any kind today.

I am back from vacay and ready to get back on it this week. Walking 8 mi while I work + 30min rowing today.
My sister asked me to run a 5k in August so I signed up. I haven't run a 5k in years. I did a practice run this weekend and did 2 mi at 7 mph before I needed to walk for a bit. My sister recommended I slow my pace so I'll experiment. I just don't want to die in the 3rd mile lol
In terms of meal planning I am emphasizing veggies (larger portions, eating them first at meals) and reducing meat and carbs.
Lunch: Carnitas salad bowl Snack: Kale Chips Dinner: pesto + zucchini noodles with grilled chicken and sautéed mushrooms

I did an interval run this morning. It was a little off because one of my employees was texting me to let me know that she needed to take time off this week. This weekend was meh in terms of fitness. We spent time in the pool yesterday, but then I blew that with Target chicken fingers since my kid wanted my salad instead (seriously have you tried to Target chicken fingers from their prepared foods section? They're fantastic.) I took the dogs for a long walk, and then blew that with fresh strawberries over pound cake. I'm hoping to get to the gym every day this week. We made a metric ton of barbacoa yesterday so I'm making that keto-ish. It's spicy AF so I'm going to make some nice, cooling homemade guac. I didn't weigh myself because of said weekend, so I'm just going with it. www.wholesomeyum.com/recipes/copycat-chipotle-barbacoa-slow-cooker-low-carb-paleo/#jumptorecipeHas anyone tried any supplements they like lately?

I ran 7 miles yesterday for my marathon training long run. I feel pretty decent despite not having run over 10k since February of 2020. I have a lot of work to do though.
We had no food today for me to bring to work because we were out of town all weekend, so I've been subsiding off snacks all day so far.
Ride and lift on deck for after work.

I’m ignoring my eating for now. I eat badly when I’m stressed, and wellll I’m under a lot of stress. I’m taking a lot of walks at work instead of sending emails, and I’m taking the long way when I do. I’m taking the stairs a lot more at work too. I’m using the treadmill at home because it’s hotter than hell already in Texas. But I’m not putting any time limits on that either. I needed to take the pressure off of myself when it comes to exercise. Right now my goal is simply to move more.

I didn’t get around to disassembling my bike to see if I could figure out the problem, so I found a workout video on YouTube. It was a 20 minute beginner HIIT video and it still kicked my butt. Makes me feel better about ditching the bike. It was a good place to start for me, but it’s not getting a lot of different muscles. Clearly. A bike that’s capable of spin workouts would be better, but I don’t think I like spin enough to keep up with it.
My Ergatta rower will arrive in a couple of weeks 😬 It’s a big expense, but I think the 60 day free trial is enough time to decide if I love it enough to keep.

Apparently taking a week of vacay and not walking long distances means that I now have to re-blister my feet and start over again. Damnit. I gotta get some moleskin.
Anyways, yesterday I hit my 20k steps and ate well. Managed to skip the post-dinner snacking so my IF is on target.
Today's meal plan Breakfast: English muffin with bacon, egg, cheese Snack: Peaches + handful of trail mix Lunch: Leftover za'atar spiced chicken on zucchini noodles, sliced tomato on the side Dinner: Chili with tons of veg + cornbread muffins (without adding sugar)
Activity: walk 8mi + rowing

starbuck, 20k steps!!!! Dang girl! Good for you! I decided today to not focus on distance when running, but time. So I interval jogged for 45 minutes today. I also considered a win yesterday when this girl on one of my local groups posted that she had leftover Sicilian pizza that had 2 slices taken out of it, asking if anyone wanted it bc she and her H didn't like it (sidebar - how?!! It's pizza. Give me bread, sauce and cheese and I don't care how bad it is, it's pizza). She posted a pic of it and I immediately had a craving for the margherita pizza the shop up the street makes. But! I did not order pizza, I made the stupid pork loin that we had defrosted instead. So overall, it's been a decent week so far. My H did request bruschetta on Father's day this weekend though, so carbs are in my future.

i have a little victory. I'm not a huge exerciser etc. BUT
i'm on a 38 day streak of closing my move ring and this week I bumped it up to the next goal.
I really need to work on closing my exercise ring more than once/twice a month so thats my next goal.

I'm down another 3lbs 🎉 It's nice to see the scale finally moving a bit. I'd like to lose about 20lbs, so this feels like a good start. I've gotten to the gym every day this week (with plans on going in about 30 minutes, as I'm chugging my pre-workout right now) and we're planning on a lot of physical activity this weekend (pool, farmers market, etc) so I'mma just keep moving.

My feet will implode if I do another long distance day so I am taking a break today. We're gonna take the kids to the pool tonight so I'll swim laps and just try to move a little all day.
Breakfast: salad (it sounded good? lol) Lunch: probably polishing off the chili Dinner: pizza and salad @ the pool

I am eating everything today. It's mostly healthy? But I'm just so dang hungry today. Yesterday I was fine, I dunno what the deal is.
Anyways,
Breakfast: leftover baked sweet potato with an egg on top Lunch: Tuna fish sammy Dinner: chicken enchiladas (mine in a bell pepper instead of tortilla) Snack: kale chips...pico and chips...a small brownie left from Father's Day...
But nothing after dinner, damnit!

starbuck oh, hi - same. I did so good before like 5pm and then it was a sugar free chocolate chip cookie… half of a strawberry roll up that my son shoved into my face… a couple chicken nuggets because my H didn’t want to make pork chops tonight… I swear I’ll be better tomorrow 😭 Positively, I crushed the gym this morning and yesterday. I’ve hit my higher move goal every day for the past 2.5 weeks.

I've been crushing going to the gym every day during the week, even though other people suck and are totally maskless. I usually go to the very end of an aisle next to a wall on the treadmills or ellipticals to start.
Today I had to go about 3 machines in from the wall because someone else was at the end. There are 15 ellipticals, only 2 of us on them. This dude came and got on the one directly next to me. There are literally THIRTEEN OPEN FUCKING ELLIPTICALS WHY ARE YOU NEXT TO ME?!! So I jumped off early because he was immediately huffing and puffing next to me and I was so irritated.
Now I need to get my shit together with food again. I do so well until like 4, 5pm, and then I'm like, goldfish sound good!
