I’m reference to the surrogacy process, we’ve talked to my RE about it and have researched a few places. I think we are set with which one we want to use and I’m trying to get us to commit in the next week or so. I’m anxious to get it started because it’s going to take a bit.

sunshinedaisies thanks for that! That’s kind of where we are, we can try it and who knows if it will help, but we will see I guess. My protocol was just 25 mg of prednisone, lovenox and baby aspirin. My first pregnancy I had a couple hemorrhages and after the first one, I stopped the lovenox and aspirin, so it was basically just prednisone from week 6 and on. I want to start prednisone early for my FET to make sure my RA isn’t flaring instead of just a couple weeks before. We were just working with our clinic, but am now on a waiting list for AEB. They are the only RI who will do virtual visits without a meeting first and I am from Canada and can’t take more time off to do an in person meet Absolutely post about your surrogacy here! That’s good you are narrowing it down, I imagine how stressful that is.

Cher I am with you! I am so sick of choking down supplements every day. After my egg retrieval I stopped and haven’t taken any since but I need to start. I started my estrogen again today to prep for my ERA and I am already over it.

Starting the prednisone early sounds like a great idea. It really is a miracle drug in so many ways. I have such a love-hate relationship with it - it’s given me three kids, but wow it’s SO hard on the body and it takes me to dark places mentally. AEB is another great RI, we were deciding between that one and KK. Really either one is great. Keep us updated! And thanks, I’ll post updates here. Currently trying to get appointments scheduled with potential surrogates. I’m discouraged by how long the process can potentially take and I’m hoping since we are 100% in, it will go quicker.

I got a call today from AEB, moving us off the wait list. As H and I were discussing what we should do, my clinic called. Out of 8 embryos, one was genetically normal, which she said was common with my age. I was surprised we only had 1, I thought maybe 2, but at least we have 1. I have my ultrasound for my ERA on Monday and then once the results of that come back, we can plan for our transfer.

Hello! I'm just popping in to wish everyone luck. I'm doing an ERA in July after having our last FET fail in January. Anyone know why Lupron is so dang expensive?!?! I'm bummed that everything is OOP but I knew that going in. Just crazy that the cost of the ERA is about the same as a FET cycle. Gosh.
I had to skip last weeks acupuncture but I'm back on track this week. I wish I loved acupuncture but I just don't. The needles freak me out still. But I do like the meditation part.

How is everyone doing?
I took a shot of Lupron a couple weeks ago to try and calm down some adenomyosis they saw on ultrasound and I got my ERA trio results back. Nothing showed on the EMMA/ALICE portion, but the ERA showed I was pre-receptive so we will just adjust accordingly. I think I will begin prepping for our transfer when I start my next cycle, but I need to have everything in place first. I am supposed to take Intralipids, but I am having a hard time finding somewhere near me that will give them (my clinic is too far to go just to get them).

Carmichael, hopefully the shift in progesterone will help! Do you have any nurse friends? If your intralipids are like the ones I took, it was just a basic IV. Might be worth looking in to? Not that you asked. XD

Not that you asked. XD None that are skilled in IVs any longer, but I did just locate a clinic 1.5 hours away who sound like they will do it. It is so dumb (to me) because I know it’s a basic IV, but everyone I have talked to is unfamiliar with them and have said they don’t have the equipment. Yes, you do. 😂 Anyway, hopefully we can get this set up. Also - I will take any and all suggestions, so I appreciate it! Have you gotten your appt with Derbala set up?

I am currently taking Provera to jump-start a period. I will then take letrozole to help me ovulate. The way they run things, you report when you have peak ovulation (pee strips, ugh), and then they schedule you. It's all very last minute, so that sucks, but at least I know it going in to it. So, the less complicated answer is: hopefully in the next 2-3 weeks! I have a back-up appt in November with KK, so at least that's ready to go. Hurry up and wait, hurry up and wait!

TW: I have an update on me I did my transfer late August and it took. I had an ultrasound last week because I was bleeding and there was a heartbeat but today, at our ultrasound, it hadn’t grown much, and is now measuring 4 days behind (measuring 6w2d @6w6days) I am not sure if that means anything, but after 4 miscarriages, all I know is anxiety. The US tech said I would need another ultrasound because they don’t count anything until it is measuring above 7 weeks. I am waiting for the fertility clinic to get the report and I have an appt with my OB next week. I have one more Intralipid infusion next week as well, so I have everything crossed it will turn out ♪♫choppinbroccoli♫♪ how was your RI appointment?

Carmichael, congratulations!! I will be cautiously optimistic for you! I completely understand your anxiety. Do you know when your next ultrasound will be, or are you saying you have to wait for your RE to get that u/s report from today first? I hope it's sooner rather than later. The wait is awful! Had you already made it in to AEB, or was this a transfer under just your RE? Were there any new meds in the mix? I finally had my RI appointment a couple of weeks ago. Bloodwork results are starting to trickle in. I have my follow-up to discuss results and protocol mid-October. I'll then have to follow it for at least a month and get bloodwork repeated to see how things look. Eventually, I will be cleared for another FET. Thanks for thinking of me!

♪♫choppinbroccoli♫♪ - thanks. I am definitely trying to focus on the positive. I have to wait for my RE to get the u/s report and then schedule a new one. I would prefer it to be sooner rather than later too. The only new medication this transfer is the Intralipids. We were moved off the waiting list with AEB, but then saw he mostly did a general Ivig recommendation for everyone, which we couldn’t afford and our RE said we could add the Intralipids (and I already had prednisone as part of my protocol), so crossing our fingers, we declined AEB and just did the Intralipids. So I was doing prednisone, aspirin, Estradiol, PIO, and fragmin, with the Intralipids at 5 days before transfer, upon positive test and then at 8 weeks. I stopped the fragmin though when I started bleeding. I hope the next few weeks go by quickly and you can get a plan in place and move onto a successful transfer!
