Weeks Pregnant: 31
Baby is the Size of a: otter or romaine lettuce
Appointments: Have one today! My appts got thrown off a week somehow? I am down to every two weeks, starting today.
Team? Green/blue/pink? Green
Rants/Raves? I have a 4 day weekend coming up, which I cannot wait for. Work has been busy and stressful. It doesn't help that I have been on the 5 am shift a lot, which is very tiring. I would like to rave about my husband. We have always carried a pretty equal share of housework and kid work, but he has been doing way more than me lately and just generally being wonderful and I appreciate it so much.
How are you feeling? Overall, not too bad, actually. Definitely getting more achey and tired. Heartburn and nausea are both under control, thank goodness. I just feel big. The SPD has been getting slightly worse again, and my back gives out on my occasionally (usually after a work day where I have been on my feet for 8 hours). But I am managing. My main issue right now is that my body cannot regulate my body temp and I am SO HOT all the time. Last night I woke up at 1 am because I was sweating. The AC has already been on every night because of this. I take breaks in the walk in fridge at work, lol. The other issue is that I have a slight shortness of breath. Nothing concerning, just... the baby impacting my ability to breathe normally.
GTKY: Have you read any good books or watched any good movies/TV lately? Have any recs for the group? I recently listened to The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid and really loved it. That and Winter Garden by Kristen Hannah have been my favorite reads the last few months. I have been trying to read more, now that I don't feel so nauseous!
As for movies/TV... haven't actually watched many movies, haha. But lots of TV. I have been catching up on the Handmaid's Tale and this season is really good. Also, H and I have been watching Below Deck (the original) from the beginning, and we have also stayed caught up with the Sailing spin off. I watch a lot of trash, haha. I will be watching the upcoming Bachelorette season.

Weeks Pregnant: 28w6d
Baby is the Size of a: coconuts
Appointments: next OB on 6/8
Team? Green/blue/pink? Blue 💙
Rants/Raves? I’m stuck in this holding pattern. My blood pressures are low and even the cardiologist isn’t sure how to help. I’ve had a couple more really dizzy spells but no more fainting. I’m learning what it feels like so we’ve been able to stop it- laying down with my feet elevated helps. I’m on light duty- basically I have to rest as much as I can but I can be out and about a little- no driving obviously. Baby has been doing fine throughout all of this which is great!
The other big issue they can see is at delivery. It’s looking like I may have to deliver early if my heart doesn’t get with the program and I may need a c/s if my blood pressure is too low and my heart rate is too high. Right now I’m taking things one day at a time.
How are you feeling? When my blood pressure is up I feel fine. I’m more tired than usual but that’s a combination of pregnancy and my heart working so hard. I’m thankful I passed my glucose test!
GTKY: Have you read any good books or watched any good movies/TV lately? Have any recs for the group? No but I could use some!

Weeks Pregnant: 26w5d
Baby is the Size of a:kale
Appointments: OB and GD test 6/7
Team? Green/blue/pink? Pink
Rants/Raves? Rants - I am stressed. I am starting to worry that baby is going to come earlier than planned and really need to train some people on my job duties before that time. At the same time I'm so done with work. Its been so busy and I am always exhausted. Raves - I have a 4 day weekend and we are heading to the mountains this weekend. I love holiday weekends because no one is working so I don't need to constantly check my phone.
How are you feeling? Large and my back is starting to hurt from size of my stomach. I was measuring 3 weeks ahead at my 25 week appointment so I think there is little chance that I will have a small baby. I was hoping this one would be like my first 2 (7lbs 11oz and 8lbs 6oz) and not like my last one (10lbs 2oz).
GTKY: Have you read any good books or watched any good movies/TV lately? Have any recs for the group? I haven't been able to read a full book in years so I definitely don't have recommendations for those. For TV I like Who killed Sara on Netflix and we got into Designated Survivor which I think is also on Netflix. Other than those, I watch a lot on HGTV. We built a home in 2019 but I still like to watch these shows to get ideas on stuff I would like to change. Haha.

sarahh, I am also worried about having this baby early. Like, extra nervous about it this time around. Every time I have to go to the bathroom, I'm like- are these contractions??? :/

Omg thatgolfb I’m so hot too, all the time. It makes me super grumpy too. I literally don’t use covers at night ever anymore. It’s driving me crazy.

Weeks pregnant: 31 tomorrow
Baby is the size of a: bunch of asparagus
Appointments: I had one today. Have a growth scan on 6/4, next OB on 6/10. Down to 2 week appointments!
Team? Green/pink/blue: parents are team blue
Rants/raves: we closed on the house and we move all of our big furniture and start actually living in the new house this weekend. So exciting!
How are you feeling? Tired, big, hot, lots of Braxton Hicks some evenings. Good ole third tri.
GTKY: Have you read any good books or watched any good movies/TV lately? I’m in a bit of a book slump at the moment.. I’d like to break out of it so I’ll be looking for recs. I just finished game of thrones (I read the books forever ago and tired the series but finally tried it again and got into it). H and I are watching The Mandolorian season 2 and rewatching Schitts Creek.

I am pretty much a never nude, and I am always wearing clothes even in my house. Yesterday I was in my stretchy maternity shorts and a sports bra, and DD2 said, "Mom, you forgot to put on a shirt!" lolol. Whatever, dude!

Weeks Pregnant: 30
Baby is the Size of a: cantaloupe
Appointments: MFM this Thursday, OB 6/17 then every 2 weeks!
Team? Green/blue/pink? Pink
Rants/Raves? My in laws decided to buy a house too. They “jokingly” asked us to help pack after telling us they wouldn’t help us pack and we should hire packers.
How are you feeling? Decent. I haven’t bled in 2 days so I actually got to go swimming. My fasting numbers are crap which is annoying.
GTKY: Have you read any good books or watched any good movies/TV lately? Have any recs for the group? I don’t really do shows/movies, although I love Marvel so definitely recommend the new releases on Disney +. Books I love lately- The Great Alone, the Clockmaker’s Daughter (a more challenging read, huge character list & time lapses), An American Marriage, Under the Tulip Tree, the Tattooist of Auschwitz, the Only Woman in the Room
Currently reading River Road, which seems promising & the Martian which is even better so far.

The florida heat is not helping at all. My MFM wants me to walk after each meal, which breakfast & dinner is fine, but they’ve lost their minds if they expect me to go for a walk at 1pm. My family has gotten very used to me waking around in a sports bra and shorts at this point.

So I had a growth ultrasound this morning... those can be off by quite a bit right? He’s measuring 4lb 14oz and 89%. I’m a little nervous.

At 29 weeks our girl was measuring 4lb 1oz. Did your OB seem concerned? My doctor did comment that’s she’s a little big, but I think they’re being pickier about me since I have GD.

At 36 weeks, they were each measuring like... 8.5 lb. My husband was 11 lb 3 oz at birth (he is tall, he was also born at 42 weeks), so it wasn't out the realm of possibility that I would have huge babies, but omg I was scared. Kid 1- born 38.5 weeks, born at 7 lb 5 oz Kid 2- born at 39 weeks, born at 8 lb 6 oz. So yeah, both measured bigger at 36 weeks than they ended up coming out 3+ weeks later. This current fetus is the first one I have had measuring near the 50th %ile, lol. Of course, that was only at 30 weeks, and so much can change. I do have another growth U/S scheduled at 36 weeks.

onyx, we are into Marvel, too! We have watched and enjoyed the Disney+ series. I am looking forward to Loki. And I think H and I may try to squeeze in a date night to see Black Widow in the theater once I start my maternity leave (I start leave the day before it comes out), as long as baby stays put.

Thank you onyx and thatgolfb for calming me down a little. The dad and egg donor are both short so I’m hoping I’m not in for a giant baby. The high risk doc wasn’t concerned at all. I’ll get one more growth ultrasound at the Very end of June.
