Yesterday I made an egg/ham/Apple/spinach/gruyere/cottage cheese/green onion/phyllo pastry thing (Jamie Oliver recipe) and it was amazing. The kids didn't like it but I thought it was amazing.
Tonight I'm frying Italian sausages and purple cabbage, and I'll serve cottage cheese on the side.

mintyblueairI know you mentioned perhaps wanting a 4th child. Please consider this my adoptee application. I want to eat all of that.

I took advice from, I think, ovenrack to cook bacon in the oven. It was delicious and easy this morning! I then made an even more delicious egg and cheese casserole in the same pan with remaining bacon (and grease...that seals the deal I'm old, right?!). Leftovers will be my breakfast all week. Tonight is chicken tacos. Wed is leftovers and/or corn dogs because of late afternoon Garden Club. Thursday is chickpea spaghetti and meatballs with garlic toast. Friday is pizza night. Saturday is TBD. ETA last night's dinner was brinner of yogurt pancakes topped with berries. L won't eat eggs or yogurt but ate 6 of those with a smile.

I made whole wheat pancakes for dinner, and my children each ate like 8 pancakes. They were pretty small, but still! The recipe feeds 4. They are three children.
Long day. Really need to grocery shop.

I made a box of Zataran's (sp?) Red Beans and Rice and added kielbasa to it. And I made sautéed kale with red onion, garlic, and cherry tomatoes for a side. Everyone happily ate it all. I even got a compliment on the kale from S. Win for tonight!
