It’s most likely not the battery. Door locks still work and it was changed last year.
It makes a clicking noise when we try to turn it on.
What could it be?

It could be that your battery only has a little charge in it. So not enough to start your car, but enough to run the accessories. I would try jumping it off of someone else's car battery first. If that doesn't work, it could be the alternator or the starter. (Although I think that clicking is the starter trying to go, so it may not be that).

Also, there are some shitty batteries out there. My minivan draws a whole lot of juice when it starts, so even a slightly shitty battery will keep it from starting. I'm on my third battery since I bought the car and every replacement has been under warranty. You local auto parts place can usually test your battery quality for you without having to make an appointment for the repair place.

Bad battery or alternator would be my guess if it's clicking but not kicking over.

Could be the connection to the battery. Is it clean or all corroded? My other guess was also alternator.
