lahdeedah hopefully that means you leave with a glowing recommendation that will give you lots of options in your new state. vino I will be 40 in June. I plan on living it up (depending on the pandemic). Long night here. C kept crying out for me in his sleep but then getting mad if I took him out of his bed. He told me this morning he was dreaming that he was falling into the sea and A (my 14 year old nephew) was trying to grab his hand but he missed so he was crying and A was screaming). Then T woke me up at 6:30 to tell me I needed to get up because I was going to be late for work (I took off). C then came in yelling that he’s not a baby because I put a pull up on him in the middle of the night because he was so confused and I didn’t want him to wet my bed if he ended up sleeping with me. Now just waiting for T to finish virtual school in his room so C can nap and hoping his test results come back today.

kim22 oof. Sorry for the rough night. Hope you guys can get an early start to the weekend. lahdeedah you are amazing so I'm sure they will miss you. I hope you have a good team at your next location. vino enjoy those sheets girlfriend. I turn 39 this year. I've thought of 40 and I don't think it will bother me (30 didn't), but I don't know. A couple months ago at work I had to do my annual medical check-up and a girlfriend did hers with me. I realized they gave her the usual form and gave me the different colored form for those 40+. I was very how-dare-you in my mind. I guess I won't mind being 40 per se, but I don't want people to look at me and think "she's 40," if that makes sense. I'm youthful dammit!

My first thought when I heard about Phillip was did he really just die or did the animatronics finally give out? They're opening up Disneyland so maybe his personal imagineer was on his way back to Cali and couldn't fix the glitch in time. Whoops.

Nothing much exciting for me. I'm at my other job for the next 3 days. Our team of 5 is down to 2 today but I don't think it will be much of a problem.
The pets are all happy to have us home and Denver is reminding me what happens when we leave when he follows us around everywhere and paws at my face in the middle of the night to demand attention. He makes sure he gets double time love every time we're gone for a few days. He's been going to the center of the house where it's open to the second floor and sound echoes more often to do his Simba roar just to ensure we hear him. That old dude is turning 17 in June so he's earned the right to do whatever he wants.

vino I’m sorry 40 is hitting you hard. It’s crazy how everyone reacts/handles it differently. MH had a hard time with it. But it didn’t phase me at all. However, last night at dinner I ordered a daiquiri and the waiter said “I need to see your ID” so I said no problem and started to get it out, then he laughed and said “just playin, I don’t need to see it”. How rude 😂

Our state has still been tight on the criteria for who can get the vaccine so MH hasn't been able to get it yet. I found out at my other job that they'll let him get it here so he's booked for his first shot the 21st. Wahoo! This is especially nice because the state should open it to everyone May 1st which would likely make it difficult for him to get an appointment since he would be competing with so many.

I know. I feel weirdly sad for queen Elizabeth. Can you imagine spending 75+ years with someone and then having to go on alone... It broke my grandma - she and my grandpa got together when she was 17, married at 19. they were together for 70 + years when he died and she just was so lost without him. She lived another 12 1/2 years but she was never quite the same. I’m afraid this will be my grandparents. They’ve been married 71 years. My grandpa that was just put on hospice is 95. My grandma won’t know how to be without him.

lfig that looks awesome! vino I turned 40 while I was pregnant with S so it was just a blip and didn't phase me at all. I'm staring down 50 in a few years and that just seems... unreal. Like, I can't be close to 50? That's an old lady?!?!?

Although I agree with all of you on losing your spouse, I feel like Lizzie & Phillip didn't have that same kind of marriage. I believe they've been living a part for awhile. Agreed. I think she has long moved on. She has her crown and throne to keep her company. My grandparents were together a long time and my grandma was fine for several years after my grandpa died. He was older so she was long mentally prepared for him to go first. He was sick for several months so it wasn't a surprise. Plus her religious beliefs have her comforted that it's just temporary. But then a couple years ago as she kept getting older, her physical abilities declined, and everyone kept dying around her (she was one of 12 children and the last one left), it changed and she's ready to be done and missing my grandpa more. I used to bring him up and she'd smile and tell stories about him, now I let her lead that conversation because sometimes thinking of him just makes her sad.

lfig that is so awesome, evie would have loved it! 40 didn't really effect me, for some reason 41 was worse, like how TF did this happen? I remember when my mom was this age and thinking she was SO old.

I’m happy for you and your sheets vino! Dh turns 40 on Monday and mine is in July. I go back and forth on being ok and freaking out. I remember years ago when I dropped the weight and was running that I made a secret goal to run my first marathon at 40. Lol me!! I ran for maybe 9months before realizing I would never love it. My goal is now to lose the 6# of Covid weight I gained by my birthday. The shake from Five Guys today probably won’t help me achieve that 😬 This past year I feel like my body has aged a lot and I have lots of back and hip pains. I also have noticeable wrinkles. I’m most annoyed with the aspect of my body aging.

I had iron infusion #4 of 5 today and was told I should be feeling better. I have seen no difference in my energy or winded ness. It probably means I’ll need more but they will do bloodwork next week. I hate going but it has been an excuse to get out of work early on Friday’s and it’s gorgeous today. I’ll probably take C to the playground after I pick him up at after care. We may take his change to coinstar after. We counted it up and he has $75 in change.
He’s been really great about saving his $ since the time he blew it all on a toy he bored with after a day. Once we cash the change he will have $425. He won’t let me put it in the bank because he likes to have his “fat stacks”! 🙃

Ooooh turning 40. I've got a lot of feels with it and not ok with it cause I dont know where the last decade went. I had an amazing time in my 20's; it was the peak for sure and I have yet to feel that way about my life as a whole since then. I traveled, worked two jobs, had an amazing few groups of fun friends, was responsible, had money to do fun shit, all of it. The past decade has been adulting like whoa; kids, miscarriage, my fathers death, MH's breakdown, tired, just going through the motions, major body changes that I dont like. I feel like I *may* be coming out on the other end of it esp with the kids being a bit older and I have some time for myself but it's still not the joy that I had years ago.
no hairpats needed, it is what it is.

My SIL turns 40 this year, too. Turning 30 Didn’t phase me and I hope 40 doesn’t. Depending on how the rest of my 30s go will probably affect the way I feel about 40. This will sound cliche, but I’m so ready to “live” and enjoy life... whatever that means. If I don’t get to travel more and do some things I really want to experience, then turning 40 will probably have me going... what TF am I doing with my life??

I'm sorry you're not noticing much of a change wedding. That's frustrating. Have your doctors indicated they'll look at other issues if your energy doesn't improve or do they seem fairly certain the iron is the issue?

vino I posted right after you before I saw your post and I hope my post doesn’t seem insensitive. It seems what you are feeling is kind of similar to thoughts I have about it, except I can’t say I fully enjoyed and lived in my 20s. My early 20s was marriage and working. Then 25 to now has been all about kids and I feel like I’ve wasted some time, but I get that I had to focus on the family for a few years. Now that the kids are a little older, I’m taking more time for myself, but also pandemic, so can’t really get to the experiences and travel just yet. I’m working on planning life/finances so we can do a lot more of that soon if the pandemic cooperates and chills Tf out. lfig That experience is one on my bucket list. Glad S enjoyed it!

inthekitty Glad you are able to get Yh a vaccine! wedding M has a lot of change and I am planning to help him count and roll it old school style this summer on one of his off weeks. My grandma used to give me her loose change and I remember rolling it and taking it to the bank. I loved getting my dollars from the teller. 🤑

If the sales guy throws in the oil change package at the cost he's at, its a go. He had the one I wanted brought in from another location so its there for me to see. Just waiting in confirmation because I hate to get to finance and they try to upsell me.
I told him we would be there at 830 tomorrow morning and if he agrees to the price and oil change pkg, I'll bring him breakfast and coffee.
I am at physical therapy with Evie for the first time in a month. It was nice to see everyone, I came here so many weeks with her, I kind of feel like I know these people!
