Weeks Pregnant: 20+5
Baby is the Size of a: banana? Ty beanie baby? They are all so different 🤷🏼♀️
Appointments: had my AS yesterday. Next regular appointment is in 4 weeks. I get my second Covid vaccine shot next week on Thursday.
Team? Green/blue/pink? Blue- I’m not gonna lie I was a little worried that our genetic test was wrong and we’d been prepping DD with the wrong sex. I know that it wasn’t likely but irrational anxiety sucks.
Rants/Raves? Saw the baby yesterday so that was great. My MiL is something else and I really need to limit how much I talk to her. It came up that my H is going to have to start helping me get DD to school next week to help her transition to him taking her (she has ASD and transitions away from me being her main person are really hard) because I am due/will have baby the week before or the week she goes back to school and we all know I won’t be able to get her to school by 7:45 am every morning. My MiL told me I’m spoiled because he helps me at all (with general parenting duties) and that most people don’t have that and I basically need to suck it up. 🙄🙄🙄 I told her it took two to make each of my kids and I’m not the only parent they have.
How are you feeling? Finally feeling normal most of the time. I’m definitely sore by the end of the day and my feet are usually killing me by dinner time but no swelling yet.
GTKY: Have you started prepping for baby?
Kind of? We need to move DDs room before we can start on baby’s room. The paint I ordered for her room came yesterday so I’ll start prepping/painting today/this weekend. I’m struggling being able to prep the baby’s space. It’s triggering weird anxiety.

mrspants, just reading that made me angry! Ugh. I fully plan to have H do day care and school drop offs when I am home on maternity leave. I will help when I can, and probably do pickups, but I won't be sleeping as much due to BFing, so he knows he will be on big kid duty, as he was last time (which includes rare MOTN wakeups- he will also do shifts with baby at night when I don't have to feed). It worked out well for us last time, and like you said, he's a parent, too!

Weeks Pregnant: 22 weeks
Baby is the Size of a: ear of corn
Appointments: OB on 4/26
Team? Green/blue/pink? Blue
Rants/Raves? I’m feeling a lot of movement which helps to ease my anxiety.
How are you feeling? Not bad. Still very dizzy at times and my blood pressure has been low. Otherwise I’m mostly back to myself except with a belly (and an occasional sore back).
GTKY: Have you started prepping for baby? I have started cleaning out his room. It’s currently our office/guest room and needs a lot of work. We’re planning on redoing the floors and he needs a new ceiling fan. I also started a registry since after more than a decade we need a lot of stuff and a completion discount would be great. I did get his car seat this week after turning in DSs old seat (I cannot believe it was still in the attic!) and getting the 20% off at target.

Oh man mrspants I would be so mad! DH is a parent too and I’m not doing this all myself. DH loves time with both of our boys and is so excited for this one too!

Weeks Pregnant: 24+1
Baby is the Size of a: GI Joe, or a puffin, lol
Appointments: I had one yesterday. Baby is measuring right on track, and heartbeat sounded good. And I passed my one hour glucose screen, so no GD for me!
Team? Green/blue/pink? Green
Rants/Raves? Not much to report. Work is busy. I have about 12 weeks until maternity leave (assuming, hoping, I am written off at 36 weeks) and there is just a ton to do for this software upgrade. I don't know how it will all get done, but all I can do is my best.
How are you feeling? The same. The reflux is bad. Reglan helps to an extent. My pregnancy support belt helps with the back pain and SPD, but I am just really tired at the end of the day.
GTKY: Have you started prepping for baby? Yes! We moved the girls into a room together and I organized the baby clothes (and big kid clothes). So small. I need to order some bigger ticket items. I also need to trade in some car seats at the Target event, and get new stuff there, including a new travel convertible seat (I love the Cosco Scenera, so I am hoping that's still an option).

thatgolfb and skategirl128 she is something that’s for sure. When she had her kids she never had my fil help with anything. He got to sleep, do whatever he wanted, never had to help. (He is still like this in their marriage- she can’t leave her adult disabled daughter alone with him for more than a couple of hours because he doesn’t know how to take care of her.) She also told me that when H starts having to travel for work again not to have him help- she (and sil by default) will just come stay with us.
I’m so happy we moved away from them a few years.

Weeks Pregnant: 19w6d
Baby is the Size of a: Mango
Appointments: Had my AS on monday. Everything looks good. The couldn't get a good view of the back side of her heart so I have to go back in 3 weeks to get another ultrasound, darn!
Team? Green/blue/pink? Pink
Rants/Raves? I feel way more pregnant than I am. I am having a hard time with all my kids. My oldest is 5 so they really can't do everything for themselves yet.
How are you feeling? Big and swollen already.
GTKY: Have you started prepping for baby? Nope. We did finally move my 3 year old into a room upstairs so there is now room for baby in our room. That's honestly it because this still doesn't feel real to me.

Agh mrspants that kind of attitude makes my blood boil. Nope and nope. MH is just as capable as I am to care for the kiddos.

Weeks pregnant: 24 today
Baby is the size of a: cantaloupe
Appointments? Had high risk and OB this week. All looking great which is relieving. Next round of both of those plus one hour glucose is first week of May.
Team? Green/blue/pink? Dads are team blue.
Rants/raves: work is sucking the soul out of me. Still not being able to see patients in person and the constant focus on productivity is so frustrating.
How are you feeling? Big and just so tired by evening. I’m such a grouch to my family some evenings.
GTKY: not applicable to me this time! I’m very ok with that and excited for intended parents. DD is 20 months and we are getting rid of some of the baby gear as she gets older. It’s a weird mix of nostalgia and excitement that our last kiddo is getting bigger. Now if someone could teach her to sleep please!

We are doing some serious purging since we’ll be moving soon. Between the 5 of us in this house we have SO MUCH UNNECESSARY STUFF.

My doc office called and said they received the fax from my pharmacy asking to refill my reglan (I get texts from my pharmacy when I am toward the end and they automatically notify my doc), and they said they don't recommend reglan any longer than I have been taking it, because long term use comes with its own risks. Ugh. I mean, I get it, and I am glad they are being safe. but also, I am already nauseous as it is taking the full dose of reglan PLUS unisom + B6 at night. I am 25 weeks tomorrow and yes, I realize that's a long time to be nauseous, but like... not much I can do about it. I hate the side effects of reglan and certainly wouldn't be taking it if I didn't need to be!
Bleh. I think they will probably switch me to Zofran which I also hate. But I will take it over nothing. I guess I will see what they say.

I’m sorry you’re still nauseous thatgolfb and don’t want to refill the regular. I hope they give you something else that can help. I struggled for 16 weeks and it was so hard getting sick all of the time. Sending hugs your way.

Ugh I’m sorry thatgolfb. That’s a rough road to be nauseous that long. I hope they can find a solution that works ok for you.
