I also forgot to mention that my parents were at my house taking care of our dogs and cat. They were supposed to stay all month, but my grandpa went to the hospital with severe abdominal pain the other day. Scans revealed he has metastatic cancer 😔. He’s 95 so chemo isn’t an option. They’ve suggested hospice and palliative care. So my parents left and headed back to STL. We scrambled and got someone else to take care of the animals. So once we get home I will be headed back to see my grandpa while I still can.

What a time you have had lfig. Sorry to hear about your grandpa. I hope he isnt in pain. Happy birthday to H slenle! I'm in text negotiations with my sales guy for a new Jeep Grand Cherokee. He has the one I have wanted for 2 years, but I need him to come down $25 a month on my payments. The thing about online buying is I see ALL the options instead of going in person and just picking 1 and sticking to it. I've sent him so many text messages tonight to see what differences are between certain models and what it does to my payment. I figure he will eventually get sick of me and get to the number I want!

Sometimes I just have to head scratch at MH. The townhouse we are renting is brand new and has no blinds. I sent him there with some of the cheap paper blinds from Lowe’s for the windows downstairs and then 1 set of curtains to put on the command hooks for upstairs. It’s day 3 and this man is still trying to get the curtains right. 🤦🏽♀️ I should have kept it simple and sent the paper blinds for upstairs, too. Men...

H said he's going to text the guy soon and tell him just to get me this one since I've wanted this one for 2 years.

I also got a text and email from my county that I could make an appointment for the vaccine. First dose is next Wednesday. Sounds like it will be the Pfizer.

lfig I’m sorry about your grandpa and all the crazy stuff that happened on your trip. Did your doctor ever call you about your results? inthekitty we love that show and T loved that porcupine birth. There is a similar show about the Bronx Zoo they also like because we go there, I can’t remember what service it’s on. C came home from the sitter with his nose running like a fountain. I took him to Urgent Care and they think it’s allergies but they did a covid test so now none of the kids are allowed to go to school tomorrow. I decided to just call out and hope C is up for watching trashy tv with me tomorrow while the other kids do online school.

mwhip, I hope he comes down on the price. Dh and I switched cars so he wasnt putting so many miles on the new one and I wish we had gone for the better trim. Whenever I trade mine in, I'm not compromising and you shouldnt either!

The really are when it comes to certain things. He is very smart in certain areas and then when it comes to things that are simple for me, it just doesn’t click for him.

That’s crazy, lfig ! slenle , I’m so sorry about your grandpa. inthekitty , your work stories get more frustrating with each day. I’m sorry. If you have t checked it out, Izzy’s Koala World on Netflix is a wonderful show about a family in Australia that rehabs, you guessed it, koalas! The little girl is such a sweet soul. I've been working there for almost 10 years and what's most frustrating is we're having the same issues we had when I started there. Most of the problems are super easy fixes and we've offered suggestions but my boss is too lazy and insecure to do anything about it. I like my boss personally, but as a boss he's lazy and pathetic. The issue he texted me about when I was on leave was to tell me an evaluation had been scheduled with me first thing in the morning when I returned on Thursday. These evaluations are usually scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance so I didn't know why one was being booked with me on short notice and there's usually a couple hundred pages of records to go through beforehand so having one first thing in the morning after returning from several days off is problematic. He was aware of this enough to know to warn me, but still chose to book the patient with me instead of one of my colleagues. When I worked yesterday and caught up on the emails I saw that the patient wasn't even originally scheduled with me but a coworker who got jury duty notice for the end of the month. 1) My dumbass boss shouldn't have switched the patient from my coworker 3 weeks before she might be out. 2) If he needed to switch with someone it should have been with one of my other two colleagues who didn't have any days off that week and could prep ahead of time. 3) I had the most of those evaluations last month and the most scheduled this month so once again, the patient should have been booked with anyone but me. 4) I was on vacation, figure out this shit without involving me. My boss is completely unaware of 99% of what we do and how we operate. We're basically self-managed and he puts up roadblocks occasionally rather than makes things easier for us. The stupid shit that happens at my workplace is one of the biggest reasons I wanted to permanently work from home--I'm more removed from the BS and can mostly just be my own boss at home. I set my own goals and even though I have a schedule, I work when it works best for me. I'm by far the highest performing on my team. I'm working from home 75% of the time now and I hope it stays this way so I can maintain my sanity because when I don't have to deal with the outer nonsense it's mostly smooth sailing. My other job (military--where I'm at today) is also a total cluster of disorganization. That's the one where I'm thinking of working for another state (but not moving).
