My dress came in yesterday - it's more cranberry colored than the image shows, but I still like the color. And It fits really well! S approves. And then I ordered some Woxers to wear underneath...if I end up wearing it somewhat regularly, I'll prob order another one in a second color. Only downside is that there are no pockets (of course).

rugger, why would there be pockets, women don’t need to carry things. Fake pockets on pants. Such a letdown when I realize they’re fake. Dresses with pockets are the best.

I bought new workout pants and wore them for the first time today. I hate the material and they aren’t comfortable and the waist band rolls during yoga. But they have pockets! So I guess I’m keeping them.

I decided that the reason that maternity clothes don't have pockets is that clearly if a woman is pregnant she obvs has a partner to carry her things for her (TIC).
Probably the #1 good thing about gaining weight is that fat people clothes have pockets. The ever shrinking pockets as I lost weight way back when was hard to handle. Either they think that fat people are more functional than skinny people, or they think that we need a place to store our twinkies (also TIC).

So I guess I’m keeping them. I hate all the control top, smoothing yoga pants. The waist and lower leg are loose, but evidently I carry all my weight in my thighs because they are super tight there and are constantly falling down cause they don’t fit properly I want my cheap Old Navy ones to come back! But with pockets.

This has nothing to do with much here, except that I feel pretty in my outfit today. Universal Standard is constantly advertising to me on IG. I like their stuff, their size inclusiveness, and their cotton options (I am a natural fibers person). I ordered their mystery box a few months ago, and got this dress which is my current nicer-than-jeans uniform on warm days. I pair it with this long open linen shirt situation, and it feels effortless and beautiful. No pockets, but it's too light for pockets. My linen shirt thing has pockets. www.universalstandard.com/products/geneva-v-neck-dress-deep-sea

A lot of the clothes are different from my style, so it's hard for me to estimate how they would look or feel, but the sizing options are amazing. And actually seem to line up with my hip/waist/bust combo (which I never see). And then you can see how each size looks on different sized models. But oh boy the pricing is $$$.

I would never ever buy a $150 dress. Or whatever it was. I got the $75 mystery box and was thrilled with the dress and two tops. I think the mystery box was a great deal. I’d keep an eye out for that. I can let you know if it happens again. It seems like 1x or 2x a year.
