Whats going on ladies.

I'm just laying low waiting for the day to pass me by at the office.

Finally got my stimulus check in teh mail (don't ask why they mailed this one to me because I have no idea, the other 2 were direct deposit), so Cadence and I took it to the bank and deposited it in the drive thru. Looed at my account yesterday and they rejected the deposit because all parties didn't sign the check.
I tell mh and he says, "oh yeah, I saw that my name was on it too". THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU SIGN IT???
I didn't even notice his name was on it, if I had then I would have had him sign it to.
So now I have to wait for the bank to mail me the check back, have him sign it, then deposit it again.

In the meantime, Cadence has her Apex thing today. Since they can't do the "fun run" they are doing a dance party so the virtual kids can participate. She raised over $400, which is pretty good since we just posted the link on Sunday.

Good morning. That is impressive klong11! Way to go C!

Work has been super busy lately so I have missed a couple of days here. We have a few different HR things going on that are huge time sucks so it's not really enjoyable work. I think tomorrow and next week will be slower though. C has been having problems with a kid at aftercare and they will finally be in separate groups starting tomorrow. It's hard when this stuff happens in a pandemic since there are stable groups and the kids can't really get away from each other. C has also gotten back together with his girlfriend. Sigh. I was like "I thought you were done with girls because it was too complicated and you didn't have time"! He shrugs and told be she is so beautiful. I still need to get him that Gizmo watch but haven't had time to get to the store so hopefully I can this weekend. I know I can buy it online but I want to see it and play with it first.

The nicer weather has been so good for C and I. We started going to the library together once a week and then playing at the playground there in the evening. Yesterday we met a family that moved a few blocks over last April. Their 4yo son was very interested in C and C took him right under his wing. Their son is autistic and he was having problems grasping how to climb certain equipment so C showed him how and also taught him how to pump his legs on the swing. C was so great with him and his parents were so nice so we are going to try to meet up again. I feel like I'm starting to build a mom friend group and it's really nice.

I’m off today. Thought I was supposed to work, but it turned out that our lead tech asked 2 of us to work today without realizing it, so I was glad to stay home because M is out early today. He was going to go to my neighbors because when I said yes to working, I didn’t realize they had early release. He is kind of bummed they aren’t celebrating Easter at his school because M2 has his egg hunt and party today. I told him we would do something special when he got home, but I have no idea what that is so I have a couple hours to think of something.

MH is coming home for the weekend. He should be here later this evening. I will be hiding in the guest room tonight. 😅

M's apex thing is today, too!  They've been trying to get the virtual kids to participate but it hasn't been going as well.  They were setting up the course when I dropped her off today so we'll see how many laps she does.  We've raised $12/lap.

Really looking forward to the long weekend... the kids have been... interesting this week.

We’re expecting an announcement today that our province is going into yet ANOTHER lockdown. I’m over it. Schools will switch to online again and all small businesses will have to close. My region has been in lockdown since Boxing Day, so just over 3 months. The last couple weeks they’ve been slowly opening things but now they’re just shutting it all back down. Vaccines are only available to front line workers and seniors over 70. It’s just getting so frustrating.

However, I got offered a new wfh position on Monday with a different company. So I suddenly have decided to close my daycare and go through with this opportunity. It’s double my current wage at least,if not more plus benefits and paid vacation.
I’m nervous to get started and feel bad for inconveniencing the families as the people pleaser in me really hates feeling like Im letting people down but I think this will be a good change for me and us as a family.

Congrats! cheeksmum That’s awesome. I get the guilty feeling about inconvenience, but you have to put you and your family first. Hope it all works out.

Congrats on the job cheeksmum ! That's great. Sorry about another lockdown. I totally get being over it all. I hope vaccines start getting around more in the coming months.

Same old around here. I was rushing to get the kids off to the bus. They were actually excited for crazy hair day so they were up and at 'em. But then it fell apart when actually leaving for the bus and Madison was on her 1 speed of slow and doing god knows what instead of getting her butt out the door. They just made the bus so I have a few hours of peace.

Got my first dose this morning. We were in and out in 20 minutes so stopped and had Mexican since my dad had the kids. Now I’m home working up the motivation to workout. I need to get it done so I have time to make cookies before pickup. Lol.

My parents are babysitting tonight and we’re going to stop at our friends who just finished they’re main floor renovation. I’m excited for Dh to see it for the first time and maybe he’ll get excited about ours again. I think we’re close to finally moving forward. I’ve been working on getting bids this week, just not hearing back from anyone yet.

And we ordered h golf clubs for his birthday. The package has been sitting by the front door all week and I told him not to open it. Well, he just opened it and came running in “mom, you got me golf clubs!”ughh. So now I’m going to pretend to return them just to mess with him.

Morning, busy day for COVID times 😂. I had to send in some paperwork for my leave. Had coffee with my parents, had an appointment with a chiropractor for dd2 and stopped by my inlaws for coffee in their backyard, I think I was the most time we spend with them in 6 months. It’s nice to be able to do more stuff outside, it feels a lot more safe.

The kids had easter celebrations at school, they had a blast. Oh and we booked another stay at ‘our’ cabin. It was way to expensive, but it’s beyond nice to get a ‘Covid break’ and have nature all around us, can’t wait.

Hey! After my complaining yesterday the switch got delivered today! I just started getting my game set up but parenting is getting in the way. I think I have everything I need for this weekend. No one has school tomorrow or Monday so there will be a lot of together time this weekend.

cheeksmum sorry about the lockdown sitch. I hope the get more vaccines soon so they can get things moving quicker. Congrats on the new job!

It's a five hour drive and mj slept the first 2 hours and 45 minutes.

1) I make lunches big enough for Cass that she can eat one of the items as her snack. She had us quit labeling her snack so she can tell her teacher she has no snack and also get one from her teacher.

2) A dumbass teenager jumped off the monkey bars and landed on M's head. MH took her to Urgent Care because it seemed like she might have had a concussion. She's okay and on her way home now.

3) The movie Alone is a great thriller on Hulu. A smart protagonist that was enjoyable to watch instead of yell at.

Took the dog to the vet today. He thinks she just has weak tendons and stuff and injures herself easily so he gave her a steroid shot. The patio is mostly finished. Tonight was hockey/soccer/lacrosse all at overlapping times, first time we had 3 different kids in sports at the same time but we made it work (even though DH pawned C off on my parents instead of taking him to pick up). Tomorrow is theme park day for me and the big kids and DH may take the little ones to the beach.

Today is crazy hair day so last night M had me shave down the side of her hair that's short to all the way bald. Her head got hit on the back and the side that's shaved. The medical staff at the ER thought we'd shaved off her hair to see her injury. 😆😆
