The defense atty only wants to talk about MMA fighting. He must be a big WWE Monday Night madness fan or something.

The witness is not on trial sir.
Also I'm dying that CNN just put up the 'Warning Graphic Content' AFTER the fifth f-bomb

The last witness in trial was an 18 year old girl who taped what was happening to George Floyd. She was clearly traumatized by what she saw. At one point broke down in tears saying she should have done more to save George. So many lives ruined that day.

This baby is testifying EMT asked Chauvin to get off Floyd's neck and Chauvin refused. They had to push him off.

No idea what his district is like. But could it get any worse? *sobs in rhetorical question*

Also, what does it say about your "friends" if THREE of them run off to spill the beans to reporters after you tell them something in confidence? Yikes.

I just can't imagine how traumatizing this is to relive it. That 3rd grader hit me so hard. That could have been one of my kids. And she's not old enough to really understand or articulate how being up on that stand is affecting her. But the 18 year old is, and it's just so, so unfair.
Her answer to how videoing it changed her was powerful. What brave girls they were. And the same goes for the gentlemen who testified before.

I got really angry at the defense atty for trying to paint Mr. Williams as some angry dude. But you got angry? No sir, I was controlled. You were yelling curse words were you not? if you say so.
Who WOULDNT get angry at watching a police officer murder a man in broad daylight? Also 'racist prick' went thru my mind more than once during that cross.

I'm really torn between sharing some of the details of the trial because white people need to look this full in the face rather than ignore this tragedy and the systems which keep enabling similar incidents, but I also don't want this to feel like we are engaging in black murder porn, nor do I want to traumatize or trigger anyone.

This lunatic is running for reelection Literally the only reason I know what he means is because I know what/where Guthrie Center is so I could space out what he was trying to say properly. Grandpa needs a nap and for someone to take his phone.

We drove by this today and had no idea it was for Pete! (there was a large law enforcement presence outside the station). I mean, I guess the state rep and Gov are pretty cool too it looks like only the Vice Mayor though.

Oh I'm having lots of issues with coverage everywhere, but was thinking of here when I posted. Really trying to figure out in earnest how to post about this case without engaging in sensationalism myself. The details are so gutting, so what's critical to understand the issue and what happened and the problem of cop attitudes and violence, versus what is just shocking. IDK. Now I'm just thinking aloud.

I think the witness all stating how nonchalant Derek was is important. He KNEW he could get away with what he was doing. And how the defense pops right back up with 'procedure'/'hostile crowd'. I think it goes to show what LEO have been elevated to and if we're going to get meaningful police reform the general public needs to see/hear it.
The underlying racism from the defense is also completely unacceptable and I've yet to see it called baldly out.

He's honestly a frightening figure, to be so calm and uncaring about taking a man's life. The racism by the defense is unsurprising but infuriating. I mean what does it matter whether witnesses think the neighborhood is safe at night? This happened in broad daylight.
